As a native New Yorker, we have high standards for hotels, regardless of price. OWN met all of our needs and more. Located in the more up-and-coming section of Palermo known as Hollywood. This was a nice base to have while wandering around BA. The rooms are very spacious (and we got bumped to a suite with a balcony), but the staff really makes the difference […] here. The relatively young staff were incredibly eager to help us out with whatever we needed (booking Buquebus tickets to Uruguay or researching a possible Aerolineas Argentinas strike). What a great hotel! It is a hip, great hotel. Spacious rooms and a bed you don't want to leave in the morning. Also great personal breakfast! Just the best! Really recommend this one!!

Cannot beat the location. We stayed in the adjacent apartment building. Rooms are nice and very spacious. However the road noise was very loud. Service was great, breakfast was good.

Great boutique hotel, very friendly staff, rooms are of a high quality and well maintained. Great location - it's right in Palermo Hollywood which is up and coming, and a very short walk from Palermo Soho which is the best area for restaurants and bars.

The Own hotel was absolutely phenomenal. I loved the hotel and the staff and it was close to several excellent restaurants. I came to the city as a tourist and the hotel was a long way from the main sights so the location was not the best for me. I felt very safe in the neighborhood.

Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms are as-pictured. Ours was huge and sunny. The hallways between the elevators and the rooms are quite dark as the walls are painted black, the carpet is black and the motion sensitive lights are dim. This can be quite an adjustment from bright Buenos Aires sunshine. The concierge is helpful with dinner reservations […] and taxis. Bar and restaurant suggestions to us were excellent and Palermo is a good neighbourhood for nightlife. We felt the concierge could have been more proactive in helping us arrange daytime activities once we made it known what we hoped to do. They booked both a city tour and tango show with no problem, but seemed to have trouble suggesting things like spas and swimming pools. Palermo Hollywood, where the hotel is, seems to be a bit up-and-coming, meaning it is a bit grubby and down at the heel in the blocks immediately around the hotel. Nightlife within a few blocks walking was lively. The restaurants and shopping that seemed most inviting were a few blocks North and East, on the other side of the tracks in Palermo Soho. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest subway station. It's a bit inconvenient, but the walk can be routed along interesting streets and taxis are a cheap alternative for tourists to get much anywhere in Buenos Aires. The bus stops nearby, but it only takes coins and that makes it inconvenient for tourists. We had a good stay in a comfortable room and I would recommend the hotel to a friend with the caveat that it is inconvenient for public transit and the surrounding block is not exactly posh. もっと読む

While the Hotel may not be the closest site to the center of BA, it is an incredible GEM to hide out and relax. You're surrounded by very decent restaurants, tons of options. The staff was truly superlative and made me feel so at home. If I were to go back to Argentina, this is the place to stay!

Very hip boutique hotel; great design. Service very attentive. Ezekiel is super-helpful. Palermo Hollywood is hip although a little edgy - it seems sketchy at night, but we had no problems. Definitely recommend for young travelers with mobility.

The staff there is the best. Very helpful with any questions I had, etc. Room was nice and clean.

True to its website photos, the hotel is a typical boutique property: swank and highly-designed. The rooms themselves are absolutely gorgeous. If your budget allows, spring for one of the suites with balconies. Comfortable bed, great linens, very clean. The front desk staff were very helpful and good-natured. The hotel is on the grittier edge of the […] Palermo neighborhood, so there is always a guard on duty at the front door. At the time of time post (June 2, 2010) there was construction on all 3 sides of the hotel. The staff did TRY to accommodate our request for the quietest room, which was on the 1st floor above the lobby. The only room on the floor, with an absolutely private balcony, facing an interior courtyard. It IS however facing all the air/heating units for the entire hotel, so if this kind of noise bothers you, do not face the back of the building (the "quiet" side). Main flaw of the hotel is the elevator, which you can hear humming up and down all night no matter which room you are in. If this kind of noise bothers you, do NOT stay in this hotel. Very comfortable room, excellent service, competent and nice staff. 15 min walk to the center of action in Palermo and 20-30 min taxi ride to Recoleta and the Downtown. Strongly recommend the hotel.

Excelente atendimento de toda a equipe, quarto amplo e banheiro idem. O quarto possue um i-pod dock, TV LCD, cama king size, mini copa com pia e cafeteira, cofre tamanho notebook e muito conforto. Es un hotel de calidad, con muy buena relación costo-beneficio, y principalmente muy bien atendido. El desayuno es excelente. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas, con equipamiento de calidad. Desde mi punto de vista, se puede criticar cierto "exceso de modernidad" en: la configuración del baño (parte se desarrolla dentro de la misma habitación, sin […] un espejo cómodo), el desayunador del hotel (asientos y mesitas muy bajas), y el tono negro o muy oscuro de algunos espacios comunes (palieres, etc.). No obstante son detalles mínimos; la ambientación es muy cuidada, con varios toques artísticos pero manteniendo cierto minimalismo. El último punto conflictivo es la falta de estacionamiento propio. Esto se agrava porque en Palermo Hollywood (dónde se ubica el hotel) las cocheras cumplen horarios de atención muy extraños, que hace virtualmente imposible contar con la comodidad de guardar o sacar el auto en el momento deseado, principalmente los fines de semana. Por ser zona de discotecas y mucho movimiento nocturno, tampoco es fácil estacionar en la vereda. Realmente es un lugar incómodo para ir con el auto. O Hotel e bem aconchegante ( ate porque e pequeno como um hotel boutique ), com apenas 3 quartos por andar no total de 7 andares , voce vai se sentir em casa, com muito conforto , quartos grandes e decoracao moderna.Nos 4 dias que estivemos com um grupo de 8 amigos todos ficamos satisfeitos.Numa das noites , aconteceu um evento com fotografia de modelos […] , Dj e mais tarde rolou o som de uma banda mas tudo bem low profile ,foi bem legal. O cafe da manha e otimo e servido informalmente na entrada. Ficamos no quarto da frente e nao tivemos nenhum problema com barulho.As camas sao otimas. As pessoas que trabalham no hotel sao muito prestativas e simpaticas. Para ir ate o Palermo Soho voce precisa atravessar a linha do trem que fica a 2 quarteiroes e mais 3 quarteiroes voce estara na praca Serrano. Ficamos no Own Hotel por 4 noites. Em todos os dias fomos muito bem recepcionados por um staff disposto a divulgar Buenos Aires aos turistas. O quarto é excelente, cama e jogos de lençóis idem.
