Very convienent location just off the 202 Loop; free parking and easy check in. Room was not large, but efficient for what we needed and included a small refrigerator. Food in lobby and coffee/tea in AM was way overpriced so I walked across the street to a coffeeshop and had my breakfast there. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Aloft Tempe and would visit again. Positive features: Great location; walking distance from ASU and a variety of restaurants. Very cool decor (my girlfriend said it was art deco; it could have been Art Carney for all I know). Although the room I stayed in was relatively small, it had everything needed cleverly tucked […] away in creative spaces. It didn't have room service, but it did offer a good variety of fresh food in the lobby and a bar that opened in the afternoon. Negative: It was a little pricey; consistent with that part of Tempe. The air conditioning units were in the room, which I hated, but the noise was tolerable. Modern but no ice buckets. Have to get ice from front desk, then have ice sit on counter in a bag which floods bathroom counter. Parking lot lights not working- it was pitch black.

This hotel is great to stay in if you are visiting ASU. I would have given it a better rating if the bathroom lights worked so you could see yourself. The bathroom lights they had as a recall on them so they shut off the lighting to it and gave us a clip on light that goes on a bed post. It was not good & that wasa the only place they had a mirror. […] I also forgot my toothbrush. They had one but I had to go down & get it at the front desk. If you are going to Arizona in the summer, expect heat. Also expect that you are going to enjoy your time at this hotel. It is set in a great location. The only draw back was the size of the pool and the cleanliness of it was nasssssty. The room was great though.

The room was nice, liked the modern set up. Also the whole contemporary feel of the hotel was fun. Wished there was a jaccuzzi. The pool was adequate, but pretty small. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Aloft Hotel for our anniversary. It was a very convenient location right next to ASU and mill avenue. It is located right off of the freeway so you can get to almost anywhere in under 20 minutes. Being next to Tempe Town Lake it would have been nice to see a view of the lake. Couldn't have been happier with the cleanliness of the room, the excellent beds, and the location of the hotel.

This was a real gem of our recent trip. Modern, trendy and well equiped. The room was large and clean and quite funky. Large HD screen, wifi and AV points for hooking up iPods etc to the TV. Bathroom was modern and very clean. Lovely large shower too. There was even a copy of Wired magazine in the room which was awesome.

This hotel was definitely hip, as advertised...pool table, bar, and lounge chairs in the lobby; euro modern room decor, and funky elevator floor tiles. Service was excellent and the pantry is very convenient for breakfast. Only complaint is that the room offered little shelving/bureau space and maid service was provided late in the day (needed more […] towels!). Location was Great and room was clean. Check in was almost a disaster as I booked through hotels.com and had confirmation for a double. Was told at desk upon arival that I had a King and that they do not honor doubles through Hotels.com etc. Fortunately a double was available. The room was clean and adequate, but the relationship of the thermostat to the airconditioner was such that the air blew directly on the thermostat not allowing the room to cool to a comfortable temperature. Staff was nice and the lobby was clean. For the price I would stay at a Holiday Inn Express, Hampton inn, La Quinta etc. that serve a free breakfast. $2 for a 8oz cup of coffee and $2 for a bowl of Cheerios. This hotel is nice but understaffed. We came in on a Friday for the Rock & Roll marathon. There were over 30,000 people coming to town and this hotel was full. But they only had one girl working the front desk doing everything by herself. For the 20+ minutes we waited for out turn to check in I did not see another hotel employee. But they just seemed to be missing something. Sunday, after the race there were 50+ people in the bar watching football or by the pool relaxing. But the bar was closed and your couldn't even get a beer. Guests with cars were having to drive out to bring drinks back to the hotel. Is this place a hotel or a motel? I asked someone at the front desk and they said the bar was run by another company so there was nothing they could do. The pool is small but nice. Stayed at Aloft, while in town to go to the Improv. Literally two blocks from Milll Ave, and right on Tempe Town Lakes. Room is very cool, very modern. Although a bit smaller than others i have stayed in in the area WXYZ Bar was awesome Overall fun place to stay in Style

This hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and very, very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone I know.

Very modern hotel with great staff in great location

Brand new facility, but little details still needed some work. For example, no cold water from the sink--only scalding hot. I thought the hotel staff was great, but wasn't impressed with the room. There were stains on the rug, like someone had had a cut on their foot or something. The location wasn't that great, either. I loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous, the gym is great, it's new and clean and the pool and bar areas are amazing. The rooms are really hip and cool. It's a great boutique!
