喫煙の上司との出張で、訪問先からの紹介もありこちらで宿泊。ドーバー自体大きな町ではないのですが、ホテル自体は清潔に保たれており、雰囲気は良かったです。たまたま夕方5時頃からおよそ1時間30分ほど停電しましたが、係りの方が折り曲げて発光させる10cm程のセーフティーライトを階段や廊下に並べ、配っていました。自分は丁度仮眠中だったため、連絡が取れず心配した上司が、スタッフと共に部屋をノックして起こされましたが、停電には慣れているようで、対応も良かったとのこと。夕食は15分ほどかけてNewick'sまで行きでっかいロブスター2匹をそれだけで良いの？って値段で食べてきました。

部屋がきれいで広く、キッチンも使い勝手が良い。無料の朝食もパンとコーヒーだけではなく、卵、ハム、ポテト、フルーツ、ヨーグルト等々、充実しています。ホテルの目の前の駐車場は広く、充分なスペースがあります。駐車料金1日18ドルとの記載がありますが、実際には1時間当たり75セントの時間制料金でした。見どころも近く、おすすめのホテルです。

町の中心からは遠いが、空港にちかく、また大型ショッピングモールがあり 買い物、食事など、いろいろ便利．部屋は広くインテリアもおしゃれで また この値段で朝食までふくまれていた。

ダウンタウンに近く、レストラン、観光スポットにも便利な場所です。 特に 雰囲気の素敵な「図書館レストラン」は 目と鼻の場所です。 ホテルは 大きな一軒家の形で 自宅にいるように思え ホテルの人たちも にこやかで、親切で ゆっくりとくつろげます。 朝食は ビュッフェスタイルの コンチネンタルですが、手づくり感があり 満足のいくものでした。

The reception staff was excellent and gave me a lot of good advice as to where to eat (including an excellent Lobster restaurant) and places to visit in the Kennebunkport area. It was just like I thought it would be! We love smaller properties ( 26 rooms) with their quaint and casual feeling. We felt like it was more of an authentic Maine visit. Sophie ( the front desk mgr +) was amazing! She's extremely organized ( wears lots of hats), efficient, knowledgable and very easy-going and friendly. We would definitely stay here […] again! The Lodge lived up to it's reviews from the moment we walked into the office and never disappointed. Sofie at the front desk was very nice, helpful and recognized us through out our stay. While I had read a few reviews that were not that good, I decided to book The Lodge at Turbat Creek because it was close to a wedding that we had to attend. I am very glad that I did. I found the room to be spotless and Sophie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. This motel was good for the money and Sophie at reception is a gem but it is a little out of Kennebunkport so a taxi or a driver needed at night for Dinner/drinks. There was a fatal accident involving contractors so we were moved because of the investigation to a grotty hotel in Kennebunkport and the whole incident was a bit disconcerting.
