いつも英国出張というとロンドンに泊まることが多いのですが、今回は少し時間に余裕があったので、ドーバー海峡まで足を延ばしてみました。宿泊したこのホテルでは、海に面した部屋に泊まりましたが、イギリスでは珍しく快晴に恵まれ、対岸のフランスがよく見えました。ホテルの部屋も広くて、きれいで心地よかったです。そして何よりも、ホテルのマダムがとっても優しい方で感激しました。またぜひ泊まりたいホテルの一つになりました。

傾いたむき出しの黒い柱や梁が時代を感じさせ、床がまっすぐに歩けないほど傾き、撓んでいるのに特に感興が湧き、雨のせいで静かな夜を過ごせました。ヘップバーンが幼時に過ごした部屋があり、これもまた時代を感じさせました。食事もうまく、近所に何軒か特徴のある食事どころもあり付近の散策も楽し型です。

"Lovely, quiet stay"
We only stayed 1 night here as we were attending a wedding nearby but it was perfect for our needs - they allowed us to check in early as we would have been at the wedding during normal check-in hours and the room was lovely, with every convenience. Vegetarian breakfast was great, lots of choice and really tasty! Like their green, eco-friendly approach […] to everything as well. "cosy little guest house in great location"
The facilities in the room were better than any 5 star I have stayed in. That is with the little bits that make you feel welcome and at home, like bottled water, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits to chose from-the bathroom had proper size shampoo etc. even make up remover and cotton buds! The room was very comfortable, but the TV was not brilliant, a […] bit of a let down as the freeview did not work properly :( The breakfast was amazing-the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that breakfast was strictly between 8.30-9am, short window, and check out at 10am, when check in was from 4pm.
