There was 5 of us between two rooms. When we got there we asked for a extra fold away bed. Front desk staff said they dont have those. We asked for extra blankets and pillows. Staff said "we dont have anything extra here".

Stay was perfect. Rooms are all newly remodeled, still had that new smell!

All went well until it was time to shower in the morning. I know that the place recently spent a bunch of money on renovating, but hot water is a MUST! When I called up front to complain, it was played off like it is a normal occurrence and I was told to just wait...which was disappointing Overall, not to shaby.

It was okay...everything was new and nice....doors are open to the outside of course, so if you want to climb a steep staircase and have people look into your room when you open the door don't stay here...the hotel faces an office building, so if you stay during the week, everyone looking out their window can see you up front...in AM sign on door said […] closed and if anything needed call this number.....never answered the phone when called in morning....so I just left.....cheap and nice though! もっと読む

The entire hotel was newly renovated and the rooms clean. Only difficulty was figuring out how to use the unnecessarily complicated remote thermostat. A call to the desk was a big help to solve that. The HVAC worked well and quietly. Location was great, close to the places we went to visit to do business.

I wish I had known that there was no elevator to get to the second floor. I booked a king bed but they are only available on the 2nd floor. Due to bad knees I couldn't do the stairs and we had to settle for a queen on the first floor. No where in the discription of the motel did it say all kings were only on the 2nd floor. My fiance and I decided to take a long weekend for a romantic getaway up to TC. I browsed some hotels online and this one had the best rates with very high ratings from almost everyone! I agree! The newly remodeled rooms are very nice. Large walk in tiled shower, remote control wall-mounted heating & air conditioning unit, and flat screen TV are all great upgrades. Basic continental breakfast, but still very nice. Will definitely stay here again.

Rooms are newly remodeled and clean. Great staff. Will be staying there more in the future. Price is very reasonable.

The hotel was very convenient for us. The price was right and the beds were very comfortable. Had a little problem with the heating system in the beginning because the buttons were worn off, but the staff was very very helpful, coming to the room to set it for us. We would stay there again.

Everything was new, the staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. No complaints at all. Already booked another weekend here.

Good part of our stay- Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Recently remodeled. No pets or smoking allowed. Very clean. Ablosutely no odors. King bed and pillows were quite comfortable, no lumps, not too firm or too soft.. Breakfast room was clean, pleasant, spacious. Not so good part- Shower water pressure and temperature was variable in the morning. We did not sleep well because curtains let in too much light and it was noisy at night. The second floor stairs and walkway outside the room transfered foot traffic vibration and noise and creaked everytime someone walked by the door. the hotel has been updated...the bed was a little firm for my wife and i.. but otherwise the hotel offered value and a nice clean room...

The room was clean and spacious, the Jacuzzi tub worked well and the hotel was near enough to downtown and wineries that it fit our needs fine.

Clean and comfortable. And a great bargain.

This is a good deal for the area and overall it is a nice place. Really no thrills though so if you are looking for extras like a fitness room it isn't the best fit. the motel is newly remodeled and has all new furnishing. It is very clean and nice. It is a basic room, but has everything you need. The staff is very nice and very helpful. There is a continental breakfast included with the room. I will definately use them again.

Room was nice, we had a Jacuzzi tub which was a nice perk. Felt safe, they had someone walking the parking lot, verifying suspicious activity so that was comforting as well. The hotel has been completely remodeled recently. The only drawback during the winter months is the outdoor (private) entrance and the pool and sauna are closed for the season. We were very pleased with the Howard Johnson motel in Traverse City. The staff was very friendly especially the young lady working when we registered and working the front desk the next morning. We will stay there again when we return.

Great Value. Clean Room. Good Location!

the hotel was nice and the rooms were new. Only problem was no desk. Had to work on the bed.

From what the hotel use to be to what it is now is night and day. Though I do miss the "Dumb and Dumber" heart-shaped bathtub. ;-)

I had to book an overnight stay in Traverse City on a tight budget and the price quoted on hotels.com for the Howard Johnson was right, so I took a chance and reserved a room. The hotel was a great value. It was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable.

We were very satisfied with our overnight stay at this Howard Johnson. The remodeled version was very well done. Only downfall was carrying luggage up rather steep stairs.

The hotel is ALL new and just beautiful. The service is great and our stay was perfect! Great place!

Good location, clean rooms, easily accessible, overall a nice place to stay for your visit to traverse city.

Room was newly remodeled and very clean. Desk staff VERY friendly and helpful. Very affordable rate. A chair in the room or small table/shelf in bathroom would have been great but otherwise great.
