This is an old village hotel with a make yourself at home atmosphere. It is a BB without the breakfast - there is a village bar and a village restaurant that is obviously appreciated by locals. If someone expects a city hotel this is not it. But, if someone enjoys the small town atmosphere then this is it!

For the price of this hotel, I expected more. The Inn looks cute from the outside, and the restaurant and lower level are quite nice looking. However, the room left much to be desired. Tiny room, cramped with a loud ac/heater/dehumidifier taking up much of the space. The lamps were missing switches and had to be plugged or unplugged to use--then flickered […] because the outlet is loose. Remote control only works for the satellite box so had to leap over the AC unit to turn tv on/off and adjust volume. Pretty big refrigerator was nice, but no dresser or space for clothes. The carpet was thin and in the hallway badly stained. Finally, the walls were thin--I could hear the neighbors' ac units, tv, shower/bathroom, etc. This hotel was not worth the price I paid, but it is in a beautiful part of the woods. もっと読む

We knew there might be an issue when we arrived in our room and there was a styrofoam container with old food on the mini-fridge still there, and an associated toothpick on the floor. Wires throughout the room on the floor were a mess as were the waterstains on the ceiling. It is very old. The room was very small. I t was clean and the people were very nice.

Online it said it was close to WVU and stadium. NOT so much!!!; about 25 miles via winding back road. But overall we where satisfied with hotel. Little rooms and old but they keep it up and great food. Nice place for a couple to get away!!!

Expect a noisy room air conditioner. Convenient dining room downstairs. Great front room and bar with old books. Nice to be surrounded with antiques. Downstairs rug needs replacing.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at The Preston County Inn. The rooms were quaint and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. There is definetely something to say for West Virginian hospitality! We hope to come back next football season to see another Mounties victory and enjoy the views*

The Hotel was a very nice quaint bed and breakfast in a quiet little town. The rooms are small in size, but comfortable. The restaurant has very good food and the staff even have movies on the lawn in front of the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere.

We liked the ambience of the hotel. It was tastefully decorated for Halloween. The room was very clean and adequate. Could have used two extra pillows. The heating/ac unit is on the floor and uses up too much of the limited space, but works well. Smoke from the adjacent second floor balcony was noticeable on occasion in the room. Never met or saw the […] hotel staff. When we needed milk, water and spoons for the continental breakfast there was no one to respond to our requests. We would have liked to check out the restaurant on site, but had no idea that brunch is the only meal served on Sundays. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Preston County Inn, the owner and his wife were wonderful people and they enjoyed spending time with there guests. I probably shouldn't recommend the place because I'm afraid it will be full next time I want to stay there.

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room. It's a family run Inn. the whole family pitches in and helps out with cleaning,acomdations&questions. Something that is hard to find in america now a days. Would definitely stay there again.
