The Bundarika is a lovely relaxing place to stay to holiday. We were there in the 2nd week of January 2012 and at the time the hotel was significantly understaffed. The hotel is about to undergo a refurbishment program and they will be recruiting staff at the same time. The staff who are there are lovely and they are certainly willing to meet your needs […] when you make a request. The only down side we found is that you need to be proactive in trying to find out whats available both in and around the hotel. There is very little local information easily available to you at the hotel but if you ask the right questions, the staff are very willing to share what they know with you. Staff don't approach you for drink orders, you need to make the move yourself but again once you do, the drinks arrive promptly to your table. Food was delicious but unfortunately sometimes served cold when it should have been hot. Perhaps these are all symptoms of shortness of staff. The privacy of the hotel and it's location are second to none. It is certainly more a hotel for couples or groups of friends, not much there for young families. I booked for the Jacuzzi Suite, and was very pleased with the spaciousness of the room, but was sorely disappointed with the Jacuzzi. While the main water flow for the Jacuzzi worked, the pump didn't work at all. And when I tried to drain the water, it couldn't drain at all. A call for the service person didn't work at all, as all he could offer was to press a button to drain the water, which didn't work in the first place. Another issue I had was the shower and toilet screen doors. I think they got the screen pasted on the wrong side of the door, as i could see the person inside the shower/toilet while the person inside couldn't see anything! I hope the maintenance staff at Bundarika something about this! Breakfast was free as it was part of the package that I booked. No complains here. Wide array of food, and very tastefully done. The nearby layan beach which is just a short walking distance is very beautiful with clear blue water provided you go at the right time which is around in the afternoon. All in all, if you want isolation from the city and peace during your stay , you wont regret staying here. Wonderful resort! Arrived and was greeted and given a welcome drink while paperwork was being sorted and given an upgrade without asking. Staff explained how everything worked and went through all the facilities including spa, gym and yoga classes and then showed us to our private villa, which was out of this world! Completely private pool and decking […] area. At first couldnt open the doors fully, but this was quickly fixed and a free bucket of sparkling wine was left for us for the 'inconvenience'. The room was clean, and just as the pictures show. Enjoyed the food at both restaurants, one of which is up the hill overlooking the resort (we were taken by buggy to it)We made use of the pool. Also accessed the private beach which was very quiet and peaceful. Sun loungers and available and we sat back in the evening drinking the yummy cocktails watching the sunset! I've never met such friendly, approachable staff and felt they wanted to make us feel welcome and looked after at all times! Anything you need can be arranged, we asked for a motorbike which was ready in 10 minutes, and fairly easily found our way around the local area and went to a waterfall and gibbon park. Upon leaving, the staff arranged a taxi for us and carried all our bags and everyone came out to wave us off wishing us a safe journey when we left! For us, staying at Bundarika was exactly what we were looking for, a few days of relaxation and complete chilling out. There were families with children also so it caters for everyone. If you're after nightlife, this may not be the place for you as it is very relaxed, but I would recommend this resort again and again and would definitely go back again. After checking into the room (the Lotus Villa), the room was okay, not as lavish as what was on the picture. So we upgraded (paid extra) to the 1 bedroom villa. But we heard loud noises inside the room which we finally figured out it was the air- conditioning unit. Bundarika staff moved us to 2 different rooms, and we experienced the same thing in every room! We were supposed to enjoy our 2nd honeymoon there, but we ended up not being able to sleep a wink in that hotel, especially after paying so much for something that wasn't worth it! So we were truly disappointed. We spoke with other guests there and sure enough, they were also moving out of the property for the same complaints. So we would NOT recommend this property to anyone, and I think Expedia should review their opinion on Bundarika, as the cost of the room per night simply does not reflect the value of the property at all. I am sure those guests who stayed there have already stated their negative reviews on Bundarika in TripAdvisor. We were, in the end, charged a cancellation fee of 1 extra night, which we thought was not acceptable as it wasn't our fault that we could not get any sleep in that hotel. On my last night, a group of young travelers were staying above us. I called Front Desk to complain. 5 min later, Front Desk called back to say they were guests and therefore they were not able to ask them to be quiet. Their counter-proposal was for me leave for the airport 2 hours earlier to avoid the noise. When I finally checked out, they told me many other guests complained about the noise too - further evidence that they should have resolved the noise situation for all their guests. It is painstakingly clear they have no concept of customer service and no basic abilities to manage a situation or to attend to the comfort of their guests. This is a nicely presented and laid out resort suited to couples who want a quiet escape just to lay back and rest. Superb hotel with excellent service and perfect food. We got a free upgrade to a pool suite, which had a nice pool a great bathtub and all nice things to live for :-) It has a great private beach, and great view from both restaurants. The only con we had, was it was a bit far from phuket town, but the hotel offers free shuttle service daily.

Le bundarika est un petit coin de paradis. C'est un vaste hotel situé au calme (à 40 miniutes de la folle ville de Patong). Le service est très sympa, les plats sont excellents, et les smoothies sont délicieux ! Les chambres sont agréables. Le point négatif : les massages y sont trop chères (80euros/h)

Die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet und ausgerüstet. Die Lage des Hotels ist leider unglücklich gelegen.
