The good points of this hotel are that it is modern, the rooms were clean, and it was in a good location. The bad points are that they are poorly staffed, have mechanical issues, and are not very responsive to the problems. We stayed two nights at this hotel and experienced difficulties both nights. The evening we arrived the AC in our room was not […] working properly. We did manage to get something done about it in a reasonable time. However, the next day the bottom fell out. Before leaving for the day we put out the "Do not disturb" sign. When we returned, we found that the cleaning staff had disregarded our request and entered the room anyway. The AC was not working again and the staff that was on duty did not seem interested in getting it going. Our ordeal started at 4:30 pm with a call to the front desk. The maintenance man came by about fifteen minutes later and said he had to go back to his office. Thirty minutes later we are still waiting for help. Another call to the front desk and we were told the maintenance man was out of the building and we would have to wait until he got back. Meanwhile, I decided to read a bit, so I reached over to turn on a light and BOOM everything in the room goes dark.. Now, we not only don't have AC we have no power to the lights and the outlets of the room. Another call to the desk and another twenty minutes go by and nothing. As we started out the door to go to the front desk we ran into a security guard who called the maintenance man who we were told was out of the building but was actually running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Twenty more minutes go by and still nothing. No AC, no electricity, and no call back from the manager as we asked. So we insisted that we get a new room. After another twenty minutes we were taken to a room on a different floor and guess what? The AC in that room was not functioning but the lights did work. Enjoyed our stay at City Express. Quiet comfortable room, excellent service, great breakfast and helpful staff. Fantastic.

Clean, friendly and safe, I usually stay at and recommend this hotel. No restaurant but lots of good ones nearby including a VIPs off the lobby. Taxi sitio just outside the door and fhe Metrobus passes right in front of the hotel (4 pesos and you can cross the city) Staff is great

I travel to Mexico frequently for business and have lately been staying exclusively at this hotel - good price, good location and great people!

Everything was ok but the cleanliness of my room. The bathroom's curtain smelled like humidity :o/ and I found hair from someone else in my bed...I hope you can do something about this. My room was 324, thanks.

I stayed one night in Insurgentes Sur. It was the first time for me to stay at City Express Hotel. Comparing the price, over all it is the great place, reasonable price, good breakfast, close to many restaurants, etc. I will definately stay again!

I really like this hotel and stay here frequently when I travel to Mexico City. Rooms are clean and complete, the staff id friendly and the hotel is well-located with good access to public transportation. Recommended

They seem to have fixed most of the internet problems

Due to it's location and good price I began to stay at this hotel frequently for my business trips and it has always been great in every respect except one - the very sporadic and undependable internet service at the hotel has gotten so bad that it has begun to interfere with my business, unavailable sometimes for days at a time. There is very limited internet connectivity in the rooms, only by cable and even then spotty. They need to get a decent server that can handle more than one guest at a time.

Cityexpress Ciudad de Mexico Teatro Insurgentes was just perfect! Easy, clean and simple. Staff was very proficient and friendly. Very nice buffet breakfast. Not fancy at all, but very businesslike. And very fair price, too.

Good hotel and handy location, restaurant opening hours not as late as I had hoped.

A great place to stay, highly recommended. I always use this hotel when I travel to Mexico City on business and have never been disappointed.

Easy location in the south of the city on Insurgentes, very nice hotel, secure, comfortable and clean, simple but fine. VIPS downstairs. Also an Argentinian restaurant downstairs, with a nice open-air part. Parking in the basement. Highly recommended, at a good price. Steve

Our stay at this hotel was fine. It was a clean, modern hotel with decent beds and friendly service. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. However, the airport taxi the hotel provided us desperately needs to be improved upon. We asked the hotel to get us a taxi to the airport in the morning. They did and we walked outside to find our "taxi," […] which was nothing more than some guy and a tiny black Nissan with absolutely no markings whatsoever that identified it as a "taxi." The inside was cramped even with only the driver and my wife and myself in the backseat. The seats were worn and torn, and the car was not very clean. The driver did not speak hardly any english, unlike the hotel's front desk workers. We were nervous the entire way to the airport, slightly scared and wondering if he'd just drop us off and take our bags, pull out a gun and shoot us, or worse. The only thing that kept me thinking we'd be okay during the trip was the fact that the hotel had arranged for our strange ride. Thankfully we had nothing to worry about and we arrived safely at the airport in plenty of time. However, the hotel should have this car marked in some way, even slap a magnet on the side, that identifies it as an authorized hotel "shuttle" and not just some dude in a car. The staff at the Mexico City hotel was helpful and freindly, and the free breakfast was a plus!

Todo estuvo excelente except el servicio de taxis del hotel. No me quisieron decir el precio y cuando ya habia avanzado el vehiculo le dijeron que serian 160 pesos por un trayecto de 10 min. No traia suficiente efectivo y tuve que bajarme antes, y continuar en autobus. El taxista muy grosero.

la primer noche que llegamos, desempacamos todo(4personas), listos para dormir, y resulta que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, de hecho no lo pudieron arreglar, nos cambiaron de habitacion, tubimos que pasar todo de cuarto a cuarto, no fue muy agradable.

cityexpress - extremamente bem localizado, se o viajante veio ao mexico para fazer compras ou negociar. alem de muito confortavel, conta com cafe da manha ate as 11, funcionarios atenciosos e estacao de metrobus a 15 passos da entrada do hotel. aproximadamente 30 min de taxi do aeroporto (80 a 100 pesos), ou 1:30 de transporte publico (8 pesos por pessoa). […] recomendo o caminho de taxi caso o viajante tenha muitas malas e pelo baixissimo preco (aprox. 6 dolares). no entanto, se vem com pouca bagagem, recomendo transporte publico para conhecer a cidade e reparar nas extremas mudancas de paisagem e contraste entre os bairros desde centro ao sul da cidade do mexico, onde esta localizado. pegue o metro saindo do aeroporto na linha amarela sentido "politecnico" ate a estacao "la raza". desca e caminhe por 3 minutos sentido a grande avenida que vera ao sair da estacao. entre no ponto de metrobus e desca apenas na estacao "teatro insurgentes". vale a pena a hospedagem, recomendo a todos. os precos de transporte nao sao fixos, e podem variar conforme a economia do pais. o que foi citado eh relativo a data de 18/12/2011. boa viagem!!! もっと読む
