again, it was wonderful, a super hotel, close to the metro and old town, best of all, across the street from my son and daughter-in-law's apartment. staff was very helpful and courteous; the hotel itself had a very up-beat atmosphere. rooms were clean ... no complaints, jusst kudos!

This is a clean and very attractive hotel right in the heart of a truly beautiful historic neighborhood.

A wonderful hotel with the only caveat being that it is in an office-heavy part of town and thus is deserted on weekends. Not a big deal unless you want to walk around Old Town. Two minor complaints—the $15/day internet service is only good on one device, so a laptop and 2 iPads add about 30 - 40% to the bill. Perfect place to crash after a long flight and meeting with my company employees.

The staff was outstanding, so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. The pool is small, but heated, and great for the kids. It's about a five to ten minute walk to the metro, but the hotel offers a shuttle. The area has a few coffee and sandwich shops, and there are a lot of great restaurants in nearby Old Town. Easy access to DC as well as VA. Prime location right next to patent office. Very nice area .. a visit to Old Town Alexandria is a must!

the gadsby tavern was a wonderful historic restaurant in downtown alexandria that george washington ate at, as well as four other presidents. the food was delicious. the atmosphere was fun. also note it is very pricey. our meal for four was $180.00 the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. the shuttle bus drivers were wonderful.

Very well-located hotel, with friendly and attentive staff and great amenities (especially for business travel, though it is good for families, too). Convenient to the DC metro system but also close to restaurants and great activities in Old Town Alexandria. We will stay there again!

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and everytime the stay is fantastic. It is simply top notch, from the rooms to the service. Close to the Metro and Old Towne, which is phenomenal. The AMC theatre around the corner is great...I wish we had a movie theatre that cool in our town! You are nuts if you don't stay here.

Stayed there during Easter weekend 2012. Found the hotel to be of a higher quality than the ones on the north side of Alexandria. Maybe the fact that it is a newer hotel has something to do with it. Staff was attentive, room wase clean and quiet, and bathroom had high quality tile work with no sign of mold or mildew. Restaurant for breakfast was overpriced […] -- the small food market across the street has a few sit-down tables and a grill with basically the same food at half price. this hotel was by far the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in and i was very amazed by the price that i paid for it. The valet service was great and the restaurant and bar that was in the hotel was very good also. I would for sure stay at the westin again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin in Alexandria while our family visited D.C. I loved the area which was low key, idyllic, and clean. There were many restaurants and walking around as a family felt safe and relaxing as compared to the frenetic, busy pace in D.C. The metro was nearby and we used it to get to and from the hotel to the sites. […] When we return we'll check to see the Westin in Alexandria is an option for us again. Our family of 4 spent 3 great days at this hotel and lovely city. The hotel frankly caters more to the business set, but we had a blast. It is a good walk to the Kings Metro stop, but the hotel shuttle service is outstanding.

This is just off the tourist stretch, but very convenient for the District Court (right out front) or the Patent and Trademark Office. Rooms were comfy and even on the 6th floor we were treated to the aroma of fresh brewed coffee from the Starbucks directly below our room.

This hotel experience was just that, Home Away from Home. The entire hotel was immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the showers were heavenly! The hotel was beautiful, however the lobby didn't have that warm and inviting feeling. The staff was always most helpful. Our beds were made each morning and the bathroom was cleaned, however it could have been swept. When we arrived, I noticed there was debris on either side of the night stand on the floor (dust, etc.). I needed to be in Alexandria for a night recently. I found a good deal on the Westin on Hotels.com. The service was first class, the room was very nice. They have extras like the bathrobe on the back of the bathroom door, bottled water in the room, Starbucks for the in room coffee maker. My only complaint was the lack of free wifi. The bed in this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was contemporary and clean, and the living space in the room was well apportioned. It could be due to the DC area location, but one negative of this stay was the daily rate of $24 I paid for valet parking (no other option). The service was good, but tipping and paying that price became a bit […] expensive. In addition, my daughter ordered a club sandwich and a glass of water, and the bill was more than $25! The overall quality of the hotel was more than I expected with one exception, the TV in the room was locked out with a special hotel service. the hotel had a pass-through box but it did not function properly with my PlayStation 3. I called the front desk informed them of the issue and they quickly sent a technician. The technician told me that I needed […] to get RCA cables for my PlayStation. Needless to say this did not remedy the issue. In the future I will probably avoid Westin hotels in favor of other establishments that provide TVs without this annoying lockout technology. もっと読む

Great location. Service was excellent.

Overall this is a typical Westin, comfortable beds, clean rooms. My only complaint is the thin walls. I heard the man in the next room cough all night then make phone calls all morning, crystal clear sound. If possible, request a room not next to another guest.

A heavenly retreat! Staff was wonderful! I have already recommended this hotel to friends & co-workers. If you turn down room service you can get 500 points on you spy rewards card. Hotel is much closer to Eisenhower metro than King St Metro. For the low price, this hotel was great. However, there were a few very strange situations that made me question the hotel's 4 star rating. The front desk was understaffed the entire weekend we stayed there. The concierge, John, was more than helpful, but we had to stand in line at least 10 minutes each time we needed his assistance (sometimes check-in […] lines were 7 guests long). There was an obvious language barrier between English-speaking customers and the valets, and the shuttle driver tried talking us out of going to the restaurant we had reservations at because it was "too far" (12 minutes from the hotel and about 3 minutes further than King Street)! Also, I'd recommend requesting a non-adjoining room. We moved rooms after hearing every word our neighbors had to say through the door (which was, of course, closed) on our first night. もっと読む
