1月に2泊しました。 オフシーズンだからか空いていた模様です。 宿泊した部屋はバルコニーがなく海が見えない部屋ではありましたが、十分に広く、ゆったりと過ごせました。全体的に、バルコニーがある部屋が多いようです。 ジムや室内プールを利用しましたが、使いやすくよかったです。元々この時期は宿泊客が多くないのかもしれませんが、夜に行ったらほぼ誰も利用者がおらず、一人貸し切り状態でした。ジムは22時まで、室内プールは24時間（ただし一定時間以降は監視員なし）使用でき、観光から帰ってきた後、夜にも十分活用できました。 １泊目の朝食は4階にあるハーバービューのレストランでしたが、大変眺めが良いです。ビュッフェの食べ物の種類が多く、楽しめました。 ２泊目は朝食の場所が8階のエグゼクティブラウンジに変わ […] りました。理由はよくわかりませんが、宿泊客の数によるのかもしれません。こちらも湾が見えて眺望は良く、また食べ物の種類はさほど減ってはいなかったと思いますが、上記のレストランと比べるとかなりこじんまりとしており、やはり広々したレストランの方が雰囲気はずっと良かったです。 ホテルランクの割には安く泊れて、値段を考えると、このホテルにはかなり満足です。オフシーズンの恩恵でしょうか？ マルタはオフシーズンでも、歴史的建築物や遺跡など見るべきものは沢山ありますし、十分楽しめるところだと思いました。 もっと読む

This is our second stay at this hotel and it even beat our first experience. this is what 5 star service and quality is all about. professional pleasant staff all going the extra mile for their customers . brilliant location and views across the harbour. Book now you won't regret it

Great hotel - large, clean, 2 nice pools, friendly service. Would recommend it.

When I checked in to the hotel during mid-afternoon, I was told my room need to be 'inspected.' I asked to meet with concierge while I waited, but he was "on lunch break." The inspection of my room took over 45 minutes while I stood idly in the lobby. The first night was extremely hot in my room. When I realized that I had no control over the thermostat, […] I called the front desk. When nobody answered, I had to get dressed again and go back to the lobby myself. The front desk informed me that the central thermostat for my room was set at 30 degrees Celsius! They begrudgingly agreed to lower it to 22 Celsius, but refused to go lower. Because my room was still too hot, I had to sleep with the window open. My room was at ground level and had no bars or screens over the window. Therefore my room was wide open to the street--very unsafe! The next morning I voiced my displeasure to the hotel staff and asked to speak with the General Manager. They told me he was not in, but that he would meet with me when he arrived. Over the course of my three day stay, I never once heard from the General Manager, not in person, not by a voicemail, not by a letter under my door. While all of these complaints may sound trivial, please recall that this is a 5-star hotel and charges as such. Therefore one expects, at a minimum, that discomforts will be promptly addressed. We've been going to the Excelsior for about 6 years - initially for Business and more recently on vacation - it's everything you want from a 5Star hotel - great staff and food and a super location especially in Summer . Just do something about the terrible coffee at breakfast !

The hotel is lovely, but the staff are what really makes this place top-notch. So helpful and friendly.

Fantastic hotel apart from thin wall... The single room I stayed had really thin wall, couldn't sleep tight despite huge fatigue... But totally high quality, friendly staff, clean room, good location.

The staff in the Kiki bar were extremely rude and unhelpful and the food was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Otherwise our 10 day stay was pleasant.

great location, good service and a wonderful view, but expect to pay extra for it. our room was facing a great wall, we did not mind, we were out most of the time and enjoyed the views from the restaurant, the pool, the foyer and bar. the furniture in the lounge was comfortable but looked dated and drab, nice new fabric would make it a more cheerful […] place to sit. breakfast was great, rest of food , hmm can be improved. we really cannot fault much, we'd go back tomorrow. もっと読む

the hotel is nice and the pool is great the food except breakfast is terrible .... the restaurant and the room service are really not tasty.. i found a bug on my food as well.

THE ONLY REASON THIS HOTEL DOES NOT SCORE 100% FOR ME WAS DOWN TO VERY SLOW ROOM SERVICE. SORT THIS OUT AND IT,S STRAIGHT FIVES

Nice location in Valetta. 5 min walk to old Valetta centre/Bus station. Spa / Pools nice & convenient for family. Room is nice...a water/port view is good enough...no need to spend extra for a waterfront room. All views to the port.

We had a great time staying here - good quiet location and only a short walk from central Valleta. Staff were helpful & friendly. Apart from breakfast we only had a sandwich lunch on one day at the hotel so can't really comment on the food - but I did think it was a bit off that a 5* hotel should charge extra if you wanted a decent cup of coffee with […] breakfast. The internet did not work properly and was dificult to log on. Room service should be avoided due to very low quality of food. The rest of the hotel was great.

The Grand Hotel Excelsior is located just outside the city walls of Valletta. It is a short but steep walk to the many places of interest that Valletta has to offer. The views across the Marsamxetto harbour to Manoel Island are excellent, and we were glad that we had paid the extra amount for a harbour-view room. on the negative side of our stay at this hotel. We were given a room that was not suitable for 3people one of which was a 12yr old girl and she was given a camp bed to sleep on! When I went down to ask for another room I was told we shall change her bed and see what we can do. We shall be in contact with you very soon. The bed was changed for another […] style of camp bed and no one from the hotel contacted us about the change of our room. We stayed in this room for our weeks stay. On our 2nd last day I had to go down to reception at 8 15pm to enquire as to why it was that our room had not been cleaned at all that day despite the fact that I had left the PLEASE MAKE UP MY ROOM tag on the door, I waited as long as I could, but by this time we needed our room cleaned so we could use it! The cleaner came up and was trying to blame someone else for her mistake, I found the whole episode unprofessional and not the standards I would expect of a 5star hotel. On the positive side they left a complimentry bottle of wine that evening to say sorry! I found a lot of the waiting staff and bar staff untrained and unsure of themselves and their duties again not to the standards of a 5star hotel. The hotel itself was clean and plush, no expense was spared to decorate and it was Idealy situated for exploring the island. We loved the location. Very easy to walk to Valletta. The room was spacious and well appointed. Only thing missing was an iron and ironing board. We had several issues that seemed to compound on one another. The a/c didn't work requiring two calls to maintenance. Even when fixed it didn't really do a great job of cooling the room. Tout est parfait: le service, la propreté et l'équipement. Wir waren Ende März 2012 für 5 Tage auf Malta. Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage (5 Geh-Minuten) bis zur Altstadt von Valetta. Zimmer sind gut und zweckmäßig ausgestattet; Bad ist groß mit getrennter Dusche und Badewanne. Ein Highlight ist sicherlich das Frühstücksbuffet (ich würde immer mit Frühstück buchen).

Für einen Aufenthalt in Valletta ist das grosse Hotel gut gelegen (ca. 10 min zu Fuss bis zum Eingang der Altstadt). Unser Zimmer war zur Stadt hin gerichtet und wegen der Hanglage etwas unterhalb der Umgebung. Es bot keine Aussicht und hatte keinen Balkon, was bei längeren Aufenthalten sicher nachteilig ist. Nous avons passé 3 jours et 2 nuits à La Valette. Malgré une arrivée tardive, l'accueil a été très agréable. Alors que nous patientions pour le Check-in, une hôtesse nous a offert un jus de fruit de bienvenue. D'un charme anglais un peu désuet mais si romantique, l'hôtel est idéalement situé par rapport à La Valette. Passez les quelques marches de l'hôtel, […] 200 mètres jusqu'au grand rond point de la porte d'entrée principale de La Valette et face à vous la charme opère. Nous avions choisi une chambre dite "Vue panoramique" et nous avons bien fait. Le prix était très abordable compte tenu de la période. Depuis la baie vitrée de la chambre, la réalité à dépassé ce que nous imaginions. En face de nous, derrière le bras de mer, la ville de Slima, Haut lieu de la vie nocturne de MALTE. Pour aller faire la fête, il suffit de prendre le ferry ou la taxi-boat (en sortant de l'hôtel descendre le boulevard à gauche, c'est à 300 m). La Valette quant à elle offre rêves de chevaleries et romantisme. D'ailleurs après une journée merveilleuse à se perdre dans les petites ruelles de la vieille ville, ne manquez surtout pas, si votre séjour n'est pas en été, un bon moment de détente dans la piscine couverte de l'hôtel ... elle est accessible 24 sur 24 ! Si si ! Seul petit (très petit !) bémol, l'éclairage de la salle de restaurant est un peu froid. Donc : un éclairage plus tamisé (lampe jaunes), quelques bougies sur les tables et la magie sera totale. En conclusion, cette hôtel offre l'avantage d'être magnifique, au bord de l'eau, à 20 minutes de l'aéroport, quelques minutes à pieds de La Valette et quelques minutes à pieds (+bateau) de Slima. Flott beliggenhet, men hotellet begynner å bli slitent og resepsjonistene må jobbe med servicen, står ikke i forhold til prisen.

Restaurangen var bra. Den klarade allergier och tog det på största allvar. Servicen hos övrig personal var lite ojämn. Hotellet som sådant var bra och inomhuspoolen var perfekt. Bra alternativ under vinterhalvåret.

Idéalement situé sur le port de Marsamxett et à deux pas des fortifications de la Valette, l'hôtel vous réserve le meilleur accueil, et vous propose une multitude de services, parmi lesquels la possibilité de se rendre n'importe où à bord d'une voiture confortable pilotée par un chauffeur-guide : demandez Joseph ! L'hotel est très bien situé, près du centre de la Valette et de la gare routière, base de départ idéale pour les visites de l'île. Les prix pratiqués pour le week-end de Noel, tant pour les chambres (de grand confort avec petit déjeuner copieux) que pour le repas du réveillon (buffet excellent) étaient raisonnables. Bref, que des bons souvenirs...

WIr waren über die Feiertage in Malta. Vom Hotel ist man zu Fuss in wenigen MInuten in der Stadt. Leider war der Indoor Pool etwas sehr kalt, sodass wir ihn nicht mehr benutzten. Wäre gut zur Überbrückung des teilweise schlechten Wetters gewesen. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, à quelques minutes du centre de La Valette. La chambre était propre et spacieuse. La piscine intérieure est très agréable (séjour en novembre). Le personnel est serviable et diligent. En revanche, la qualité du restaurant (Admiral's landing) et du petit-déjeuner est décevante, en particulier au regard du prix payé. The hotel is nice with ok rooms and a rather cozy lobby. We were pleasently suprised by the friendly staff, but later in the week the friendliness reduced a bit and for example the restaurant had was not that busy but we were not assisted as we could expect and had been earlier in the week.. could this be the result of too little tip? The staff was […] very helpful and everyone spoke great english. The room bathroom could be refurbished, the door handle was loose and the shower didn't keep the water inside, so the bathroom floor was always wet after showering. Apart from that, our experience was really nice and I would gladly return and could recommend it to others as well. Bra lungt hotell med mycket bra service. Kan rekomendera detta om man vill ha ett lite finare hotell med bra service. Restaurangerna funkar men ingen specell mat jag kommer att minnas. Det smakade bra men saknade det där extra och det var ganska dyrt. Rekomenderar att äta utanför hotellet. Frukosten var ok även om den var lite snål.
