Have stayed at this hotel previously and love it then and still love it. The people that run it are very kind and friendly, and helpful. I had some extra company while staying this time and I believe that the hotel will be getting some new clients in the future.

Without a car the isolation of this adequate llittle hotel on the far outskirst of Boulder makes it difficult to dine or get into the downtown.

This was the only hotel that would allow us to sleep 6 to a room in our price range. The breakfast was cold cereal and fruit. Not bad. Staff was very accommodating

Crowded shabby dark room w/ bathroom sink in living area. Not enough hot water. Unable to open windows for fresh air. Skimpy breakfast w/ not enough hard-boiled eggs - or any other kind of protein - for all guests.. (No comparison to Spring Hill Suites) Hair dryer coming off wall.

Nice, quiet area. GPS handy to get to and from. Nice walking paths around the lakes. Very quiet, GOOD free wireless internet service! Very nice, comfy beds. Large room. Fills up late in evening. Popular place for athletes to stay. No elevator for 2nd floor. Free continental breakfast. Friendly staff. I will stay again, GREAT value for the price.

Cosy place, well located for outdoor hiking (twin lakes trail), but maintenance in the room plumbing is poor. Breakfast is not great, only similar to chain motels like choice hotels, etc. At breakfast, there is no "decaf" coffee, and you are told to use the coffee pot of the room. No elevator.

The Twin Lakes Inn is a great little place tucked away in a residential neighborhood just outside of Boulder. The rooms do not have a hotel feel - more like a dorm room. Little did I know that my stay here would be an exercise in communication frustration. I always travel with a Verizon 3G wireless card for my laptop and use AT&T for my smart phone. Virtually no cell phone reception - except for texting and the usually zippy broadband connection was as poky as the old dial-up.

This motel is a converted subdivision office building. Park and trail nearby. Room was clean, though one of the in-room coffee cups had dried coffee in the bottom. Eight of us stayed in two rooms at the Boulder Twin Lakes Inn the night before our triathlon at the Boulder Reservoir. Check-in was super easy and the Inn Keeper could not have been more accomodating to our requests (extra towels and access to a toaster before the continental breakfast officially opened - he even went as far as to bring us a toaster […] for our room). They were also able to accomodate our late check-out request. The rooms were HUGE and very comfortable with far more amentities than a typical hotel room - we had a full kitchenette complete with dishes, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Mattress old, and sagged in middle. Closet door was damaged and I sustained a large splinter in my nail as a result. The room smelled moldy. Won't stay there again.

It's a good place to stay. The hotel is little old but the rates are cheap . The rooms are well maintained and clean. Good place to live instead of living in an expensive hotel in Boulder city.

The location is further afield from Boulder than I had realized from maps, and is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Operations are low key--pick up your key from a basket at the desk upon arrival. The room was quite large, perhaps twice that of the average hotel room, and that is its best feature. Pretty plain otherwise.

Overall quiet, between 9pm and 6am but during the day could hear whoever walked down the hall or in the front entry way (my room was closest to the front entry).

I think this hotel was formerly an apartment complex as it sits right in the middle of a middle class neighborhood, just outside the Boulder city limits. (about a 15 min drive to the Pearl Street mall, maybe 5 mins to IBM and about 5 mins to Crocs and the Tea people). Nice enough place. In a residential area, so there are no restaurants or services nearby. It is not a chain type hotel and seems to be run by a younger couple. Rooms and place are fine. Pros: 1) Very comfortable bed, 2) incredibly quiet neighborhood, 3) wonderful health club nearby, at no cost to quests, 4) clean, and 5) price about 1/2 that of other hotels. Beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious with a microwave, 2 sinks (odd), and a large couch.

There were no other affordable hotels available as it was the beginning of the school year. Based on price, we anticipated the hotel would be so so. Te hotel exceeded our expectations slightly, and agree that though dated, the hotel is a reasonable value for the price.

The service was outstanding. I felt like family and I felt at home. Three star service at a two star price.

If you're in Boulder on a budget, and Boulder is a pricey place, this is a safe, clean comfortable hotel. A bit like a "dorm room."

This hotel definitely feels more like staying in a studio apartment than in a hotel. I don't think I saw a single person that worked there the whole time, even during check in and check out. I never knew this place existed! What a bargain price for such a very nice hotel. Rooms were spacious and the beds were absolutely wonderful. Staff was very pleasant and agreed to a late check-out without a problem. It's a little "out of the way", but worth it and I loved being out of the city.

Enjoyed my stay very much !

Everything was great and would have been better if I would have read the directions with the codes to open the front door at night. I called and the manager let me in by giving me the code. The owners were very pleasant and even had bikes to loan.
