I booked Aqualuna Hotel initially because of their pet policy. The pet friendly choices are very limited in Playa. The big surprise in addition to being pet friendly was what a charming, quiet and friendly property Aqualuna turned out to be. I would recommend this property to anyone. Staff is GREAT! Our stay at Aqualuna was great! Above our expectations. All the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke great English. The hotel was conveniently located to 5th and not far from the best beaches. They had a great deal with Mamitas Beach Club with discounted food and chair/umbrella rental. The hotel had a nice open courtyard full of tropical plants and […] two nice seating areas with a use of a computer and books. The room was comfortable and very clean with wonderful hair/body products. The bed was a little hard but we had no problems sleeping after a hard day at the beach. Being right in the middle of noisy, bustling Playa, this botique hotel is a find. First class towels, sheets, furnishings, well maintained, comfortable pretty walled garden area, with 24 hr free unlimited internet. Buffet breakfast at sister hotel is great. Iit was an absolutely great stay in the aqualuna Hotel. The service was great, the people at the reception are very helpful, yamilias roomservice was fantastic and the rooms are very clean and quiet. Aqualuna was a very pretty and well-maintained hotel for the price. You can tell they are trying very hard to make a name for the place and are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are simple but very nice. Super Service!! Tolles und niedliches Hotel! Man fühlt sich jederzeit gut aufgehoben! In Playa del Carmen störte es mich überhaupt nicht, keine Meersicht zu haben, da wir anschliessend noch lange dem Meer entlang weiterreisten! Zum Glück kann ich nur sagen! Das Hotel Aqualung war dermassen friedlich und familiär, dass wir das Meer gar nie vermissten! […] :-) Und wenn doch, ist man nach einem 3minütigen Fussmarsch am Strand..!
