Exceeded my expectations!

The hotel is very close to Potomac Mills Mall which was great. The hot breakfast was actually very good. The layout of our room was user friendly. Even with the baby's playpen up we still had plenty of room. The only complaint that I have is that the entire 2nd floor hallway smells like cigarette smoke. The room thankfully did not.

i knew the room was clean because it had an overwhelming disinfectant smell, and that was the biggest and only displeasure i had with the one-night stay. i would have switched the room but the man who used the lift prior to us had bad B.O. and i do not want to get back in to the lift. this however was not the hotel's fault. the standard HIE breakfast […] was welcoming, especially their signature cinnamon rolls. もっと読む

We just returned from two nights at this property because we were attending a funeral in the area. The front desk staff was very accommodating for our need for early check-in. The dining room attendant was also friendly, and the breakfast area was clean with the usual breakfast bar items. We found our beds less than comfortable, with the old box springs […] that hit you in all the wrong places. Coupled with the Magic Chef refrigerator that makes clackety-clack noises all night, we had a restless night. On the second night we smartened up and unplugged the refrigerator, deciding that warm drinks were a small price to pay for not hearing the clackety clack. Hotel was clean, rooms clean, breakfast was plentiful. All in all a perfect place to stop.

The carpet and flooring was very dirty and the neighborhood was not great.

Continental Staff was very attentive! We didn't have to request for a refil. House keeping staff and the front desk staff were also courteous.

This hotel was great and it was conveniently located behind Potomac Mills where we planned to shop all day. It was also great to have the Maccaroni Grill right next door for dinner.

The service left a little to be desired. However, the problem appears to have been the hotel was short-staffed. That, therefore, is an issue for hotel management, not the immediate hotel staff. The hotel is well run, the room was clean, lots of restaurants and shopping possibilities nearby.
