This is an authentic railroad era hotel situated in the village of White River Jct. Vermont which is part of the larger Dartmouth College community. It is one mile from the interstate highways - 89 and 91 - and central to all the villages of the Upper Valley region. The hotel has been very well maintained and has a country inn feel with a fireplace in the lobby and thoughtfully appointed guest rooms. "Clean and convenient"
Not a fancy hotel, but clean and comfortable. Small room, shows its age, but everything repaired, painted, and clean. Friendly staff. Free internet access in lobby -- I didn't ask about WiFi. The downtown is sparse: lots of closed businesses. Difficult to fine places to eat or shop, but there are one or two. If you have to be downtown, this is the place […] to stay, though.
