Loved the view, location and convenience. Had a kitchenette which came in very handy. It does not have a restaurant on the premises, but there are several within walking distance.

The room was refurbished, well appointed and convenient to all resort activities. Staff were all attentive, responsive and very apologetic when we had difficulty getting linens for the loft. A great place. We shall be back.

Stayed here for three nights in early December. Great staff and clean condo with all the amenities you would want in a resort hotel. Steps to gondola and free shuttle to Main Street . Would definitely stay again!

When my husband and I arrived, we were greeted by name when getting out of our car at the valet, which was a nice touch. It was prior to their busy season, so the hotel wasn't at all crowded--but I still appreciated the personal attention and the fact that they looked at the list of guests arriving that day. I had mentioned that this trip was to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary when we checked in, and later that night, the hotel sent up strawberries and sparkling red wine. Nice touch! Because there were only 8 trails out of 179 open while we were there, we opted to take some advice from the locals and drive around the mountain and ski in Brighton for the day--great decision. If you're an avid skier or snowboarder, Brighton is the place to go... although the Canyons resort has a lot to offer, there just wasn't much snow there while we were there. If we went during the busy season, we would have definitely stayed to ski at the resort. The restaurants were great--especially The Farm. Local food, beautiful plating. The menu changes seasonally, and the white pumpkin cheesecake we had for dessert was amazing. We will definitely be staying here again. The staff was beyond friendly. Each member treated you as if you were a member of their own family. The rooms were extremely well kept and extremely gorgeous. The front desk staff was very knowledgable of the surrounding area and available activities. Lovely hotel.

All was really good. If I was to say only one thing about our stay that could have been improved upon I would say my pillow was too soft. We had a great stay - would definately go back! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet. I love how the Canyons has set up their properties around the common area of restaurants and activities.

The location was nice. It was very close to an outdoor area used for concerts, etc. There was a compilimentary gondola ride from the Canyons to the base of the hill and back. Room was clean and comfortable. If you are into service though, there wasn't any to speak of. Finally, my husband figured it out. The room did not have an ice bucket and the ice machine was the next building over. We carried our four glasses and filled them up and kept them cold by turning up the temp in the fridge. Our room had a writing desk, but no chair? I did appreciate the set of dishes and the microwave. We ate breakfast in our room. But, again, there was no table or chairs so we had a "picnic" on the floor. We checked in on a Friday afternoon for two nights in the one bedroom suite. Regardless of checking in immediately at 4PM, we were give the handicap accessible room. Not my preference but I understand when it's busy, it's busy. However, because the hotel is on a hill,our second floor room was actually on the ground floor of the back of the hotel. This […] meant our patio had a level pathway out to the street. I wouldn't normally be concerned about this easy access except that when we arrived, the door to our patio wasn't locked. The room itself was fairly small and outdated for what we paid. The mattress felt fine at first but is NOT good for side-sleepers; woke up both mornings with low back pain. We're lucky we had a separate bedroom because the main door buffered nearly no noise from the hallway. The key card access to the parking garage only worked half the time. At one point we swiped our card about fifteen times before giving up and pulling around to the front desk, who had to make us new cards - just to park our car. One of only two elevators in our wing stopped working the day we left so it was a twenty minute wait to get anywhere. Most people gave up and started using the stairs. And the best part? The whole reason we ended up with this hotel (besides that our regulars were all booked) was because it had a jetted tub - BUT THE JETS DIDN'T WORK. Needless to say, I was very disappointed overall. We have never stayed at the Sundial before but we were very disappointed with the view from our room. We have never stayed at this particular hotel before at the Canyon's resort but we have stayed at others. The Sundial lodge was not very busy but they put us in a room that overlooked another building. I am pretty sure they could have put us in a room […] overlooking the plaza where the gondola was and all the activities but they stuck us in a room with no view. The hallways were very very dark and I think there were only about 5 rooms with people in them on our floor. If I was a manager of a hotel I would put people in the best rooms available so they would come back again. Also, the Sundial has no restaurant of its own and the pool was tiny. To start, the front desk attendant was less than informative when it came to the hotels amenities such as pool and breakfast locations. It wasn't all that difficult to figure out were these items where but it would have been nice to know right from the start. Next we have the room, which in all was not that bad with the exception of a few items: 1. […] Room had the dreadful ski lodge smell (granted it is a ski lodge but how tough is it to spray some Febreeze). 2. Recliner in the living room was severely broken. 3. This room had 2 bathrooms, of which they only supplied 1 bar of soap, 1 container of shampoo and 1 container of body wash. 3. The TV's are new LCD's but they are fitted in the old style tube TV cabinets where the LCD's had to be tucked back in the cabinet which made for hardly any viewing angle except for directly in front of the TV's (granted most people like us don't watch a lot of TV while staying here, but it is usually watched right before bed). Last but not least, there was a Reggae concert happening in the immediate area which brought out some lively characters, many of which were high as a kite or stumbling drunk (needless to say characters that I would not want anywhere near my family). In all the stay was tolerable but I would say this hotel belongs in the 2 star family, no where near the 4 star some people have claimed. It's in the heart of all the activity at the Canyons summer or winter - pool, playground, gondolas, hiking, orange bubble lift, adjacent sister resorts w/ spas & great restaurants, and free main street shuttle just a quick walk away. Rather than staying in SLC in the heat I opted for the realitively cooler climes of the Park City area. This one room condo was the same price as the hotel I stayed in my first week but with much more comfort and beautiful surroundings and great places to eat near by.

When we booked the resort we thought we were getting a great price on a new, luxury studio with a "mountain" view. On the contrary, the room was run down and "beat" as my boyfriend put it. We were so excited to get a "mountian" view but it turns out the our view was blocked by a great big buiilding which not only blocked the view of the mountain it […] also blocked the sun light from coming in the room. We have been skiing Park City since the early 80's and have stayed just about everywhere. This time we decided to stay at the Sundial Lodge since we were planning on only skiing the Canyons. Our room was not ready when we arrived but they showed us where we could change into our ski clothes so we could take advantage of turning in our airline boarding […] pass for a free lift ticket on day of arrival. The room was on the 5th floor, comfortable with a king size bed and couch. The TV was small with somewhat poor reception as they were having difficulty with their cable service. The tub was a jetted tub. The best part of this place is you can simply put on your ski clothes and boots and walk about 50 yards to the gondola. There are only a few places to eat nearby but there is a free shuttle that takes guests into Park City every hour. Out of all the properties in the Canyons, this one and the Grand Summit are the closest to the main lifts. We would definitely stay here again, particularly for the price we paid for the room. もっと読む

The first three days were fine. The fourth day of our stay it was like they forgot we were still in the room and they went into full blown construction mode. The room was literaly shaking.
