Very clean and quiet atmosphere although it is located along the high-way. Walking distance to the bridge and biggest antique shop in the area which was the favourite of my wife. The hotel will be the one to stay when I shall return.

Our room was nice but unexceptional - no tub, which is always a disappointment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking at $12 was reasonable and the lot was around the corner if you just needed something in the trunk. "Elegant Old Hotel in a Great Location"
So happy to see that a hotel still offers some free stuff - two waters in the room - complimentary. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning - complimentary. "Great Spot to Stay In Portland!"
We were delighted with the Portland Regency Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has great character and is in a perfect spot to walk to many wonderful restaurants in Portland. "Great refuge from the storm"

Location is great for walking through the old port to clubs, concerts and the like. Hotel is clean and bed was comfortable, huge bathroom and walk in elegant shower. That being said, my room looked nothing like the pictures, we had a king bed but no fireplace, no elegant architectural details, no four poster bed. I don't think this hotel lives up to […] the price or hype as a romantic get away, I travel frequently for business and pleasure and I think the hold on my credit card for incidentals at check in was excessive at $100.... usually in comparable hotels it is $50... "Beautiful hotel in the heart of Portland"
Beautiful historic hotel. May not work for you if you're tall! The ceilings are low in the hallways but especially low in the shower, if you were 6ft, you'd have to duck! Great hotel in a great location in the Old Port section of downtown Portland. The spa located in the hotel is superb with an oversized coed Jacuzzi (type) pool.
