このホテルは、地下鉄（U-Bahn）コッホシュトラーセ駅の南側出口を出て、左手にすぐ見える。インターネット使い放題、朝食つきプランを申し込んだのだが、ネットの環境もプチプチ切れることは皆無で、大変快適だった。フロントで無線LANのSSIDとkeyをくれるので、パソコンやスマートフォンなど複数の端末を接続することが出来た。 　朝食（ブッフェスタイル）も品数が多く大変満足できた。ドイツのホテルの中ではとても気が効いている方だろう。オレンジがたくさん置いてあって、各自フレッシュジュースを作れたことだ。各テーブルに座ったら、魔法瓶でコーヒーを配ってくれるが、味は期待しないほうが良い。 　部屋の掃除、清潔感はすばらしく、ibis系よりも数段レ ベルの高いホテルだと感じた。 ホテルの紹介記事を見ると大変 […] レトロなイメージを受けるのだが、内部は普通の近代的なホテルだった。高い部屋なら違うのかもしれない・・・ もっと読む

Perfect location on Friedrich St, 31. One thing though: if you search Hotel Angleterre on Google, you'll find the following address: Gotzkowsky St., 20. This is not the right hotel but a similar one located in Moabit area and belonging to the same group. Make sure you do not go there as it is very far from city centre (and definitely not the best area […] in Berlin!). This hotel was awesome. The staff were helpful. We loved our room. The windows opened for fresh air. Our room faced a "courtyard" and it was quiet. The u-bahn is very close and Checkpoint Charlie is within walking distance. Their restaurant, Das Restaurant, has a stellar breakfast buffet (the buffet wasn't cheap but well worth it). Great location everything is within walking distance.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Angleterre Hotel in Berlin. The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was in a great location (close to Checkpoint Charlie and other sites, right by a Metro station and close to restaurants/cafes/bars). If you want to see Checkpoint Charlie this is perfect - just 100m away. And access to the underground there too. SO well connected - but not an interesting area except for these. The hotel itself is clean with a good quality breakfast. Just a little impersonal.

Excellent location with metro stop just down the block and on major shopping boulevard, and just down the street from Checkpoint Charlie. This hotel close to Checkpoint Charlie was fully rebuilt behind a period facade and some of the original features at the front have been maintained, so that on entry you are met with an imposing welcome, Behind this the rooms are fully functional and comfortable. The service was excellent, and I would definitely come again.

An older hotel that works hard to remain a 4-star experience. Spacious and comfortable room, nice staff, very good breakfast. Right next to Kochstrasse (Checkpoint Charlie) U-Bahn-- not much of a neighborhood, but not far from better places. Heat struggled to maintain warmth in a big room with a high ceiling.

The chamber maid barged in at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, completely ignoring that we were have our afternoon nap. Even after I insisted she leave the room she continued to change the towels, empty the wastepaper basket and finish the cleaning of the bathroom. Really unbelievable!! On our last day she came in at 11.30 while we were finishing packing […] our suitcases. Check out was at 12 so I told her to come back but she entered the room 3 more times, every 5 minutes. We had a lovely stay at the Angleterre - old world hotel close to Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate- our suite had fabulous high ceilings with gold detail, comfortable beds lots of space, walk-in wardrobe and nice bathroom. We had a huge 42" TV in our room compared to our old crummy CRT-TV in our Berlin Marriott hotel the day before. There is free-wifi and the subway is just nearby. It's also near Checkpoint Charlie and there's a McDonalds and other restaurants nearby. I would definitely want to stay here again!

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The metro is almost right in front of the hotel. Yet the area is quiet. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good but a little pricey for what they offer. Staff are very nice and helpful. I will stay again next time.

We have an excellent huge suite with two rooms; I was perfect to have friends to drink prior to dinner. The hotel is renovated with just a few details like the stairs that remain as the old time; very chic and nicely decorated. The bathroom was OK, but the towels were very cheap not according with a four stars hotel. Also it was incredible that we didn't […] fine our card to enter to the room and they charged us 5 EUROS. It never happended before in any hotel in US, China or Europe. I think the management should consider better feedback for the kind of hotel that they try to represent. The location is very convenient if you will be using the U bahn. I was there for a week to find a flat and it was one stop away from connecting you to major lines. The staff of the hotel was very helpful from giving me change to buy metrocards to advising on travel times, areas, food and fixing slight issues with the room. The food in the hotel was […] quite excellent and I will likely go back to that restaurant after I move there. The room itself lacked a few things: wash clothes, hand lotion, it had two twin beds pushed together to form a double. The internet connection was horrible and I couldn't get connected to my office in order to work. nice location, near Checkpoint Charlie and just alongside U-Bahn Kochstr. Pity the hotel bar plays the most awful music but otherwise we could only recommend the hotel. Would be great if breakfast was included (17 Euros is too much!) there are plenty of places around though, also WI-FI should be free! and use of gym included...

We literally stepped out of the UBahn and into the hotel where we were greeted by a most friendly receptionist. The room was spacious and very comfortable,with a window that actually opened!! The bathroom was large enough to be comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. We asked for a kettle and it was supplied immediately. […] The staff were unbelieveably helpful and friendly advising us on places to go and things to do. The breakfast was lovely catering for every taste and we had dinner there one evening which was very nice too. I can honestly say that it is the best hotel I ever stayed in for the welcome we recieved and the location. A wonderful hotel, convenient location to central Berlin and U-bahn, clean and comfortable. The internet is not free however, also cable movies, and I thought the prices a little steep. The breakfast buffet is very nice and very convenient. I will stay again on my next visit.

we spent 4 nights at this hotel in september and loved the location and the facilities. comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast and very helpful and efficient staff. we strongly recommend this hotel and would stay there again when in berlin.

Hotel Angleterre was just what we needed for a weekend break. Unfussy but efficient service. A receptionist kindly advised us of the traditional eating and drinking to be experienced at the Hofbrauhaus in nearby Liepzigerer Strasse. The Angleterre is in a very good location, 50m from U Bahn, and well placed for accessing and viewing Berlin's many sites. Breakfast was very good. We were very comfortable and well pleased, the deal obtained made it very good value.

Hotel very well located near to Checkpoint Charlie & Ubahn. Breakfasts great - particularly the meatballs! Beds very comfortable & rooms clean. Only English speaking TV channel was BBC world news. Overall very good value for money. Service Ok but staff could try to be friendlier though!

Hotellin juhlasalissa oli kahtena iltana peräkkäin juhlat ja huoneeseen kantautunut musiikin pauke oli epämiellyttävää. Onneksi oli korvatulpat mukana.

Først og fremst er det positivt at hotellet har en svært sentral beliggenhet samtidig som det er veldig stille der og så og si ingen trafikkstøy. Sjelden vare i en storby. Hotellet har hyggelige rom, og nydelig frokost. Betjeningen imøtekommende og hjelpsom. Et svært bra hotell for en rimelig penge
