I had a fantastic time at the heritage. The staff were very accomodating and my garden room was very nice. The only thing that happened was that my shower didn't quite function properly, however staff quickly recitfied this issue.

The room we were given was was tiny and dark. The bins had not been cleaned from the previous guests. The window view looked straight out onto the kitchen/ restraunt generators and extractor fans. The unbearable noise from these fans/ generators meant we couldn't open the windows if we didn't want to sleep without earplugs and so consiquently had to […] rely on this little noisy freestanding aircon unit to keep us cool. The Flat screen TV provided only picked up 4 channels which were all fuzzy. Even though the room was paid for in advance they still requested a $50 deposit before they would give us our room. Because I only had a Visa they said the deposit would be subject to a 1.5% Admin fee which was not refundable. When we raised our complants about the room they just give us a leaflit to complete. not even an apology or an attempt to reconcile the situation. beautiful hotel, my room in particular was a bit small. The television channels weren't very good, fuzzy and weren't many to choose from. Maybe need more variety and balcony needed for smokers instead of walking downstairs to have a smoke. Other than that, great service. Good location and good grounds. Great for the summer time as they have a hotel pool (which isn't heated)we enjoyed using it to swim and relax as a group. We stayed in the Garden Room which gave you a good outdoor space.

A beautiful hotel located ideally in the heart of Hanmer Springs. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds and good size rooms. A wonderful place to chill out or a few days.nwalking distance to everywhere.

Fantastic location, very clean. A lot of history here. Bedrooms very well laid out and furnished. Warm and comfortable.

A great place to stay after a hard day at the hot pools. Handy to everything in town.

Though a nice hotel, restaurant and location, I would not stay here again. The staff were rude and not helpful and when something was wrong, they just shrugged their shoulders. It is worth it to have dinner here as the food is excellent but do NOT stay here. It is over priced and not worth it.

Great location, nice rooms, helpful staff, great restaurant

In Jan I moved with my 2 children, from the states to Christchurch, NZ. Since then I have not had a moment to myself, especially after the earthquake on 22nd of Feb. My solo trip to Hanmer Springs was a bit worrisome for me but once I checked into my cozy lil garden room I felt relaxed and happy. The gentleman at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! […] I was able to check in, find my room and parking without any problems whats so ever! A complete delight. Also, he gave me directions to my daughter's camp which I was also able to find without any difficulty. I'd been invited to Hanmer Springs before and had no desire to go, but after my wonderful experience with the Heritage staff and the hotel itself I'm very excited and looking forward to when I can plan another longer get away! The staff were fantastic but the accommodation was tiny. We booked as 2 adults and 2 children (16 & 12yrs) and we received a small cabin room with a queen bed and a fold out sofa bed for the children. It was very tiny and as a result was uncomfortable. Again the staff were friendly.

This is an older hotel that has been nicely maintained and renovated. We found the staff, the room, and the dining facilities up to our expectations
