Perfect, beautiful view of the ocean, great pool and hot tubs. Perfect would go back again.

This place was great! Staff were friendly and it is in a great location. Had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This hotel is family oriented, geared toward families but with adult amenities including an outdoor bar. The location was close to most attractions if you prefer the busier side of myrtle beach. We actually had to request another room as our carpet was wet, but staff were courteous and helpful with the process... Nice views from higher floor..

Located in N. Myrtle Beach, a little quieter and nicer area than main MB area, but still close enough to get quickly to the Boardwalk or Broadway on the Beach. Ocean Front Deluxe Dbl was a simple room but had what we needed and was clean. Staff there was friendly. Pools were nice. Did not order from restaurant or lounge-bought my own food and beverages […] from the local grocery store to stock little kitchen in room. WiFi worked most of the time in rooms. For the price we paid, I thought the hotel was decent. One thing I can say is ALL of the staff were very friendly. The pools were OK. Lazy river was nothing to brag about. Most of my issues were with the room. It was clean - mostly. The decor is VERY VERY old and is in need of updating. There seemed to be a mold/discoloration underneath the chairs. […] The beds were very, very hard and gave me a backache each morning. Bedding was below standards I think. There were no bedskirts so it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing to see an old, stained boxspring. The TV was an old tube TV about 15 inches big. We arrived on April 5th, yet their activity calendar for March was still on the fridge in the room. The housekeeping tip envelope had a thank you note and the names of the previous guests who stayed in the room. Internet was slow. Some games in the arcade didn't work. It's a shame because with a really nice renovation, this hotel would really be awesome. The hardest part about running a business is finding excellent staff which they seem to have already done. This hotel is good for what we paid for it. (which explains some of the low class people--but you can get that anywhere) Its considered a resort and I think that is a bit of a reach but it served it's purpose. It was convenient to where we wanted to go. Room a bit outdated but all and all decent place and wonderful staff.

This was our first stay at the Ocean Reef. There was a long line at check-in which seemed to take longer than usual. Not a good first impression! Other than that, everything else was wonderful! My husband and I decided to go on a last minute quick 2 night trip. Very clean and comfortable hotel with great pool area! Great affordable brakfast bar also. We would stay here again!

Trip was great with great service and hotel was clean and in a nice location that wad not cram packed. Prices were also awesome! Was Very satisfied with this hotel would definitely recommend to friends which I have already done!!

Let me say first that the hotel is over rated, it should be 2 stars at the most, not 3. Overall it was a good stay. Location was excellent in a quite not so busy neighborhood (in March). My room was ocean front, right on the beach, very nice. The size of the room was good with a small noisy refrigirator, a microwave, toaster, and a coffee maker. The […] smell of the room was pretty bad, carpet is old and not clean, comforters are old, sheets are clean but beds and pillows were not comfortable, to me at least. The bathroom was ok in size and cleaniness. I was awaken at 3:00 am by fireworks popping next to my balcony and loud crazy noises from the beach. A few young adults were behaving as kids! Parking is free across the street but you may find it a bit challenging to find a spot near the hotel. My room was missing a remote and when I told the front desk, they sent one immediately. Nice collections of stores and restaurants nearby. It is about 10 minutes from the busy area of Myrtle Beach so that is a plus if you don't like crowded areas. With regard to the charges, since this is a resort, there are extra charges. Overall, it was an average hotel and priced as such. I enjoyed the stay but had to wash everything when I got back home due to the smell of the room. My husband and I recently stayed at ocean reef resort. We were there for a weekend getaway. I found ocean reef for a very good price and was surprised to find our room was very clean and ocean front. The only negative for me was parking across the street but most hotels are like that now.

Everything was great. Had a wonderful weekend. Will definitely book here again!

Great location! Awesome pool areas for children to have fun and parents to relax. Basic double room was extremely large with a full size fridge and large balcony. Parking was bad, but there were loading and unloading spaces in front of hotel that were always available when needed. Room was clean, but was a little dated.

We stayed at this hotel for our daughter's All-State strings event. There were not too many issues. Just wish the drink and ice machines had their own area instead of right outside our door. Rooms are clean and spacious but beds are uncomfortable. Feels like you are sleeping on springs.

Typical beach room .. nice ocean view, room needed update badly.

We ended up checking in early and the staff were very accommodating. We found everything to be clean just an older room with some imperfections but overall good stay!

For the price we paid I didn't expect to get such a nice view or be so close to the beach, the room was clean and comfortable. they are making improvements to the kiddie pool area and it looks like it will be fun. The worst thing about our stay was a phone call we got from a time share solicitor pretty early in the morning one day, but the hotel said […] they couldn't control those because the solicitors call the hotel then just enter random room numbers. We were very impressed with our room for what we paid. It was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was that the water temperature in the shower could not be regulated. It went to scalding hot to freezing cold without warning. They did send someone to fix it but after the first shower it happened again. Within 1 mile of Cheesburger in Paradise and Bonefish Grill. Enjoyed my stay at Ocean Reef, just wish I could have stayed longer! No complaints.

I highly reccommend. For the price, clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

Our room was never serviced while at this hotel. We had to call for towels. Games in gameroom took our money. Brought to the attention of management who did nothing.

This resort was very nice. I got the deluxe queen room which had a full size frig and an oven. The resort even had good quality pots and pans to cook with. Room was oceanfront and the view was beautiful. Some negative things was that our room was very high up and I was constantly having to be sure our son did not stand up on patio furniture for fear […] he would fall over. The other negative would be that it seemed that all the customers with children were put on the same floor so at times it was very noisy. Overall the room was great for the money. The indoor pool area was adequate as well, if you have sensitivities to chlorine odor, then you should avoid the indoor hot tub and pool areas because the chlorine was very strong, so much so that my nose started watering and got stuffy and gave me a headache for the rest of the night. もっと読む

The only problem we had was the front desk never told us how to get to our room.

The location was the best. In general we were very happy with our choice. The two downsides were parking and the uncomfortable sofabed. The parking won't change but perhaps the could upgrade the furnishings.

This is a great place to stay. This was my second stay here and both were great. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very nice.

We loved our room looking over the ocean and beach. The kitchen was a great feature and the housekeeping staff were pleasant and accomodating.

We stayed for four nights last week and over Labor Day weekend and we had a great time. The hotel was convenient to the beach and we were able to park right off the beach because my partner is handicapped. I had issues with the room - the safe didn't work; someone had used the bathroom before we got there and it smelled like urine. But nothing I couldn't […] live with. The bed was hard, but I always sleep well near the ocean. The staff was friendly - especially Stephanie at the front desk. The hot latino maintenance men were a plus too! I recently traveled to MB with my 5 year old and we stayed at The Ocean Reef Resort. We checked in late friday night and hotel staff were very nice and informative. We stayed on the 14th floor( which wasnt a problem for us) with a great balcony view over looking the ocean. Room was very clean, and no sign of any insects (bed bugs, roaches). Very nice hotel. Anyone wishing to stay here should. Very clean, wonderful view of the ocean. There is something for everyone. Will stay again.

The view was great from our room and the pools and the lazy were a hit with our kids. At checkin time no one told us about the kids club, game room etc. stuff, we found out about things as days went on. The resort needs some maintenence, certain things in the room were getting old and rust has started to show. One problem was that lot of kids in the […] hotel had laser pointers and were pointing at the people on the beach and in the balcony, those things can blind someone. It started to get very annoying.
