I enjoyed our stay here - close to all amenities, Casino, Fair, but there is plenty of other hotels at a much cheaper rate for the same if not better quality.

Great location, great layout, mediocre food - yet expensive. However the most uncomfortable beds i have ever experienced. My mattress should have been in a skip as the springs had collapsed in the middle of the bed. Ruined an otherwise lovely trip. Disappointing for a deluxe room.

South Beach hotel adjacent to all the big roller coasters, but the rooms are well insulated from any noise and really quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ay this hotel. On arrival the reception staff were lovely and we were delighted to be upgraded to a Deluxe room whixh was superb. Big Blue represents an impressive effort to bring Blackpool into the 21st century. It's a welcome and well presented improvement on the faded majesty of the vast conference hotels further up the coast. The situation is ideal if you're into roller coasters. Our room had big ones running outside the window. Great if you're in town for the Pleasure Beach […] amusement park, not so good if you're planning to sleep in. Unlike its Disney counterparts, Big Blue has saved on the cost of noise proofing. For us, the hotel's star feature was the room which is cleverly arranged for a family group. The kids have their own apace with bunk beds and televisions at both levels. Considerable design skills have gone into producing a room that parents and children can really enjoy. Also full marks to Big Blue for free wi-fi internet and free parking! There's plenty of good stuff to say so the little moans which follow should be seen in perspective. Restaurant service is slow although the food itself compares adequately with mid-market chains while not quite reaching the upmarket levels to which it appears to aspire. I guess you expect the worst from the uniquely British warning notice in the lift which gives fair notice that, if you come in for breakfast after 9am, you can expect to queue. Why? The restaurant is big enough so it's presumably a reluctance to hire enough sufficient staff. We honestly cannot remember waiting in line for a buffet breakfast in any comparable hotel. The lifts are tiny, overcrowded and happily sweep past intermediate floors but the hotel is on four floors only so the exercise was good for us. The front desk, reservations and billing systems all work well and we'll forgive the fact that our occupancy didn't fit in with Housekeeping's room tidying schedule. WE HAD A LOVELY OVER NIGHT STAY IN THIS LOVELY HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING WAS FRESH AND WARM

Very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Great location, we upgraded to a deluxe room with views over the Pleasure Beach,which wasn't open, I suspect it would be quite noisy when it is open.Would not hesitate to stay there again.

A great surprise, wasn't expecting too much, very, very nice hotel, excellent restaurant, 1 of the best steaks i've had in the UK. Great breakfast. Very clean and in great condition. We were there out of season, wouldn't like to stay this close to the pleasure beach in season though.

I understand people have choices but I think we got the bulls eye when we booked Hotels.com recommended hotel because the location,quality, omfort and service was second to none. Lovely hotel, great location for the pleasure beach area,not really great for town centre. Good standard of rooms. Excellent breakfast & staff. Don't leave valuables in care as a couple of guests had their windscreen broken, they were after sat-navs.

We visited this hotel overnight for a winter break. Blackpool has seen better days, but the hotel was very nice and clean. Lovely cooked breakfast available.

Stayed at the Blue Hotel for long weekend. Excellent Hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast. Ideal for the Pleasure Beach. Able to buy admission wristbands which were cheaper from the hotel (on booking). Very helpful staff. Extremely quiet room, overlooking the rides and slept very well. The hotel although situated next door to the Pleasure Beach was relatively noise-free. The room was spacious, well-equipped with satellite TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Third visit in a three months for business. Blackpool is dead in winter and most of the hotels are closed or look tired. The big Blue is a complete contrast. Easy to find, and very welcoming. I recently stayed at the Big Blue for 1 night with my partner we are 23 and 25 years old. The Hotel is lovely and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. We stayed at this hotel last week for one night only. The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and plenty of parking. We had booked a Superior Double room and were pleasantly surprised, on entering the room, that we had been upgraded to what seemed to be a family room with a super king bed. Great hotel only let down by the food i ordered steak which was very tough the worst steak I've ever had at £19.00 was very disappointed I complained and was told it was just my luck where the steak was from tough cut we never ate our main meal there again the breakfast was first class though and I would go back to this hotel again

We visited Blackpool for my girlfriends 21st birthday, we had stayed in the Big Blue Hotel the previous year and thought it was lovely so decided to book it up again as the deals were great. We booked the deal with the pleasure beach passes and upgraded to a deluxe double. Once we arrived, the rooms were spotlessly clean and everything was comfortable. […] The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast the next morning was delicious - lots of choice! The facilities in the hotel were great. The only downside about the hotel is the walking distance to the main town, we had to get a tram up on the afternoon but it is a nice walk if you wanted to. On the evening though a taxi is the best option and the hotel staff will order one for you no problem. It cost about £10 each way. Altogether, this hotel was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend! We would definately recommend this to families and couples and we will visit again soon もっと読む

On the whole a very good hotel. Lovely breakfast, which is very well organised (pram no problem). The one big issue we had was, we were not able to bring our pram into the restaurant for an evening meal. Told we could have a high chair, but our baby is 12 weeks old and can't sit up!!!! So we ended up back in our room with room service.

Lovely hotel - staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again in future.

My partner and I was ovrwhelmed with the Hotel it was so cosy n Friendly it was right next door to the pleasurebeach,w will defiantly be coming again,the staff was very friendly,the bar was immaculate and food was delicious,would recommend to friends and family
