We were at the hotel for less than 12 hours between Vancouver and the San Juan Islands. We arrived by train, and the Best Western paid for our taxi from the Amtrak station to the hotel, which was an unexpected surprise! The room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable. I was in town for a tournament and just needed the one night. The hotel didn't actually look great from the outside, but everything was booked for miles around. Inside I was very pleasantly surprised. I asked for a quiet room at check-in but instead got put directly across from their conference rooms where a party with loud music wafted through the open doors until late. The music had good competition from the highway just a few yards away and from the paper thin hall doors that let the sounds of the drunks stumbling down the hallway come into the […] room. I'd stay in this hotel again. It is convenient and attractive in both the common areas and rooms. I had a room with 2 queen beds and it was more spacious than most. The bathroom was updated and the shower was great. I liked there was a space for my suitcase in an alcove near the bathroom and plenty of room to hang clothes. It was easy to control the […] room temperature. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was very quiet, even on this busy Memorial Day Weekend.
