I booked two rooms at this hotel. One for my partner and daughter and another for myself. The girls' room was fine. Mine had rubbish in the bin - which turned out to be because someone had eaten the complimentary biscuits provided with the tea/coffee and they had not been replaced either. However, we were assured that "more were in the oven, and would be along in just two minutes!". Those two minutes stretched to 15 minutes. Never mind, at least we had them now. During the course of our breakfast we were inturrepted during a very personal conversation regarding our reason for visiting Milton Keynes no less than four times by a member of staff asking us if we were *SURE* that was our room number, since their records showed it to be empty. Even producing the room key card seemed not to pacify the young lady in question. Eventually I asked "Why is this so difficult?" - a reasonable enough question, you might think. The young lady snapped back at me: "I'm just trying to help *you*, and there's no need to be rude!!!!!" Actually, she was just trying to help herself. I informed her that I would speak to the manager on duty in due course, which I did. Rather than take my complaint seriously, her response was "If you would just listen to me I'm trying to tell you that she was just doing her job". I pointed out that, actually, perhaps listening to the *customer* would get us through this complaint, and if she wasn't prepared to do that I would take the matter up with head office. I stay here once a week (Differnet day each week!). The dish of the day is always pork chops mash and gravy. Dessert buffet does not exist, indeed seemingly the only dessert you can have is cheesecake. Most of the main course menu options are not available (Possible only exception is the burger) and they never have any of the drinks you may order other […] than house red or white wine and Stella Cider! We stayed overnight on a Saturday. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was very convient being dog friendly, my pampered pooch had plenty of room to spread out at night. We had two meals in the hotel restaurant dinner and breakfast. I would say that they were mediocre at best and the buffet starter at dinner time was a bit dried out and tough (esp. […] king prawns). Oppsite the hotel is a night club of alternative lifestyle not too noisy, but you will have to be openminded to other peoples lifestyles as many of them will stay in same hotel. Over all i would say that you get what you pay for its a budget hotel, its somewhere to rest your head for the night. The room is reasonably sized and quite clean with exception to the carpets which appear to have been vacumed but seem to have a number of stains on them. A basic hotel - it didnt have any towels - i had to ask twice and collect them myself. Also no TV remote - and i was told as its full i coulnd have one.

It served by purpose for an overnight business stay. Hotel is opposite a nightclub of a certain leaning, could be problem for some on a fridy or saturday night. Breakfast ok, dinner eat out. Told they would be busy from 6.45 to 7.30 so I went at 8.30 to be told they were still too busy. Not really just under staffed. it was very cheap. the staff where very friendly. clenilness only OK as i did find a few hairs. But for the price??? what i can say the resturant food was alful. chips under cooked an food pretty tasteless. i only looked at the buffet starters and dessert it looked like it had been ther a week. Excellent value for money - rooms fine, shower didn't require a degeree to operate ands water pressure spot on. Restaurant was pretty good and breakfast not to be missed. Would have no hesitation in recommending and returning myself.

Hotel and room were clean. That's important to us. Comfortable beds. Good cooked breakfast (a reasonably priced extra) in pleasant bar / dining area. A couple of small business seminars seemed to be going on but no noise, amiable people. has everything you need for somewhere to sleep- not luxurious or anything but "OK" room. breakfast good, beautiful croissant.

Even though this is only a 2 star hotel, we would have expected a little more comfort in the rooms. There was no air conditioning, and since there is a nightclub just across the road from the hotel, leaving the window open was not an option. More comfortable than expected and better spec than most Premier Inns. Excellent breakfast, though dinner menu limited. Polite and helpful staff.
