Got a good deal on a two night stay here. Up the hill (a steep hill) from downtown Santa Fe. Nicer than a hotel, that's for sure. Had a smallish one bedroom suite, but there are many options available. Even got to check in early.

The location of the Fort Marcy is fabulous. We walked to the plaza - beats searching for parking! The grounds of the condo 'compound' are beautiful, and the buildings are very well kept. Some of these condos are people's current homes. Other condos are owned by individuals, but rented out to travelers/tourists, so each condo is decorated differently. […] Overall, it was a delightful stay. In fact, we were surprisingly upgraded from a one bedroom condo to a two bedroom condo, and because our place was at the top of the hill, we had exquisite views. It was really nice. On the downside, our condo was not particularly clean. The owner decorated the place with several throw rugs and carpets over the saltilla tiles. I don't think the cleaning crew has a vacuum cleaner . . . all of the shag rugs had bits of paper/lint, dust in them. Also, some of the kitchen ware was not very clean. It seemed like the last renters used the plates, pots, spoons, etc., and then didn't clean them before putting them back in the cupboards, despite there being a dishwasher with dishwasher soap, and a double sink with dish washing liquid. So, not sure if it was poor cleaners or bad judgment of the previous renters. but between the utensils and rugs, I couldn't rate the place with a 5 for excellent. However, the location, the upgrade and exceptional monetary value made it a very good stay. I will definitely book here again - hopefully I'll get to experience a different place. もっと読む

On my 3rd trip to Santa Fe, I was looking for something more than your average hotel, something with some character and authenticity, and I found it at Fort Marcy. The staff was gracious and generous, offering to upgrade me to a 2 bedroom unit at no additional charge. The units are individually owned, so the decor can vary. I was thrilled with my unit, […] with its quirky leather chairs, comfy couches, large kitchen, and 2 bedroom/baths with colourful tiled countertops. The dishes in the kitchen were most adequate, complete with all gadgets, and gigantic wine glasses. My unit was at the top of the hill, across from Fort Marcy Park, and afforded spectacular views and amazing sunsets! My only wish re:my particular unit would be better outdoor furniture. I saw other units with lounge chairs, lovely southwest benches, hanging chiles, planters...mine had 3 industrial style "school gymnasium chairs". But then, I'm a school teacher, so maybe they knew! The only other "negative" I can think of is that the (indoor) pool area needs a little attention, a few chairs would be nice, as there's no seating around the pool at all, and the (small) hot tub's jets were not working at the time. But both of these things are very minor, and should not dissuade you from staying! The hotel is easy walking distance to the plaza, which I recommend, as parking is often difficult to secure in that district. Hill, shmill....get out and get walking, people! It's an amazing city. We had a premium one bedroom unit and it was just beautiful! We were wishing we had more than one night. It's an easy walk of just 3 or 4 blocks into downtown (except that the uphill trek back can be tough). The unit was clean and comfortable, and was really peaceful. The service was excellent!

We enjoyed the condo. The location was great for walks around town and the rooms had everything we wanted for our stay. The only downside was that the rooms were a bit hot. I will definately return to Ft. Marcy in the future.

The first place we were in #100 was close to the office and on the same heating/hot water. Our heater didn't work and the water never got hotter than luke warm. Very very nice condo, very reasonably priced (it was April, so maybe off season rates), close to the plaza and city park. Hotel office closed at 7 p.m., so key had to be left if you arrived later than that. Condo was on the street, but the street and neighborhood were very quiet. No complaints at all. We would definitely stay there again.

Had we paid full price, we'd have been sorely disappointed - our unit, while clean and functional, was in serious need of updating, had not much of a view (except of the condos in front of it) and was generally unremarkable. The 50 - 60% off room rate may be correct, but I hope in the same sense similar "half and more off" mattress sales that go on […] all year are correct - it just moved the price into the "fair value" neighborhood, as opposed to a "real deal". The location was reasonably convenient for walking (much better going downhill into town, not surpringly, than making the return journey uphill), the staff was helpful and professional, and Santa Fe was a delight. We'll be making a return visit to the town, but probably will try different accommodations when we do.
