ユニオンスクエアからは少し遠いが、近くにレストランも多く、交通的な不便さはそれほど苦にならない。部屋はきれいで、朝食、wifiも無料であり、値段も相対的には安くおすすめである。水曜の夕方にはワインとチーズの無料サービスがある。

宿泊した時期が偶々大きなイベント開催と重なったため他のホテルが取れない中予約したホテルで、レビューにもあまりいいことが書かれていなくて不安だったが、部屋は落ち着ける雰囲気で不自由なく過ごすことはできた。冷蔵庫があればなお良い。 ホテルライフを楽しむホテルではなく、旅行者向けではないので、フロントでの案内、たとえば交通手段の質問に対する説明等が不親切であった。また、玄関に階段があり自分で荷物を運ばなければならないのは大変だった。 ビジネスで利用するのなら悪くないと思う。

Expediaで予約。 ツインを予約していざチェックインすると一旦外に出て(廊下では繋がっている)から入る別館のようなモーテルでした。 部屋の窓は通路側にしかないため、開けておくには不用心。カーテンだって開けて解放的にする気すら起こりません。 部屋の平米数は多少広いですが、このレイアウトには正直参りました。 本館は歴史ある建物のようで、一般のホテルといった様子です。 朝食は常に5種類のパンとベーグル、フルーツ、飲料、ヨーグルト、ゆで卵 程度なのであえて朝食付きにする必要はないと思います。 パンを食べまくってお腹いっぱいになるのであればこちらでもよいかと。スタッフの対応は良くもなく悪くもなく。 笑顔が無いので普通以下。 Sun Franciscoは物価が高いのは承知してますがこれは少々高すぎかと思います。 […] バスルームはハウスキーピングで清潔にして頂き、ベッドメイキングも素晴らしいですが、バスタブの底がペコペコ凹んで心地悪かったです。 いつ底が抜けるのかと…。 テレビはブラウン管の21インチなので、超音波のようなキーンとした音が懐かしかったです。 WiFiは館内何処でも使えたため大変重宝しました。 冷蔵庫が無いため、飲み物や買ったものを冷やすことができませんでした。 冷暖房のファンの音が少々大きいので、深夜に動き出すと目が覚めてしまうこともありました。ドアを開けられたのかと一瞬驚きます。 何れにせよ、同じランクで泊まった知人は本館でしたので、予約の際に本館なのかモーテル別館なのかを明確にした方が親切です。 もっと読む

日本のビズネスホテルより少し程度が上であり、値段は安く、米国の中流以下の人が大勢宿泊していた。一流のホテルではないがフロントは親切で、狭い朝食用のみの食堂の食事は、簡単なものだが、食べやすく、また、従業員はいつも笑顔で気持ち良く働いていた。ヴァンネス通りという大通りに面していて、バスの便もよく、サンフランシスコの中心街に近い。快適なホテル生活を期待するのでなければ、観光やビズネスに経済的に利用できると思うし、また、サンフランシスコに行くときには利用しようと思っている。

古いが綺麗なホテルでした。インテリアも古いけれどもしっかりした作りでした。エレベータのまん前の部屋というのもあり廊下の音が聞こえるのが難点でしたが、フリーの朝食つきなところもよかったです。

宿泊料金は割安で、その割には良い部屋であった。またコーヒーが常時無料で飲めること、また朝食も比較的内容的にも充実しており、コストパフォーマンスが良いホテルであったと思う。

ホテルは少し古くて時代遅れだった。バスルームは小さかった。モダンなホテルの水準を期待するな。しかし、周辺にはかなり良い、観光者向けでなくて、商店でもないものがいくつかある。もし辺ぴな場所にいたいならこれはふさわしいかもしれない。

私はカンファレンスへの遅めの登録のためにこの部屋を得て、定宿は予約された。スタッフがすごくて、全てフレンドリーで役に立った。iPhoneで用意したアラームは予期せずプラスだった。ベッドは良かったがシーツは少し古くてビーズのようだった。OmniとMarket Squareの間の近所は歩くには最適というわけではないが、とりわけ夜がいい。

Opalのスタッフはとてもフレンドリーで役に立った。私達は結局かなりの時間をロビーでリラックスして、フロントデスクのスタッフと話をすることに費やした。ベッドがちょうどドアの側にああったとしても部屋は静かであった。ベッドは快適できれいだった。すごい価値であり、Union Squareへは容易に歩いて行けた。

Had an amazing stay at The Opal. The staff was very helpful and helped alot trying to assist on directions to surrounding places. There are alot of places to eat surrounding the hotel which was great for 3 day stay. This hotel is alittle older but still liked it. I would definently stay there again and recommend it to other people.

On arrival the French lady behind the front desk couldnt have been more helpful, she had a great personality and was most helpful in answering the questions that we put to her. I wish we had found the hotel earlier in our holiday.

You get what you pay for. In some ways I wish I'd paid more. The Opal was a very good bargin hotel in a rather expensive city. The general manager was very pleasant and the staff were always nice and helpful. The king room was clean and very spacious. The hotel is undergoing renovations but the work was mostly unobtrusive and wasn't an issue during our stay. It was super convenient having Mel‘s Drive-in on the ground floor - what a great breakfast place! And best of all, we were only a few blocks away from one of the best Creole restaurants in SF, Brenda‘s on Polk - sweet potato pancakes, cheese grits and the most sinful biscuits! I choose this hotel based on Location and Price (Including parking). It paid off wonderfully. It is just blocks from the trolley cars so very easy to get anywhere. The price pretty reasonable for SF. The draw backs - LOUD we were in the area around the garage. WOW a lot of noise. The doors opening, the street, the trash being taken out. WOW really loud. […] It is Very possible other parts of the hotel do not have this problem. And finally the Included breakfast could use some fluffing. Either more options or change it a bit day to day. (but hey it was included and gave us some food before heading out to sight see in SF) Yes I would say here again. I paid about $440 for 2 nights in May. The room was a bit cramped but OK. Next to the Tenderloin district and little Saigon, it's a mixed area. The staff were polite and helpful. I would probably try to find somewhere else next time,

The hotel staff were amazing, anything they could do to make our stay better they would do. The hotel is beautiful , clean, and so easy to get to public transportation. I will stay there again. Great value for all the bonuses and we were all very happy with all aspects of our stay here.

I enjoyed the free breakfast and thought overall the hotel was clean and very convenient to downtown. Movie theater right beside hotel as well! However, the building across Van Ness from the hotel looked like a slum building. I know this has nothing to do with The Opal, but I was a little fearful when I was walking at night in the area.

Perfectly acceptable hotel in a very convenient location tho the immediate surroundings lack charm. It is a bit frayed around the edges and service is no frills, but this seems a good trade-off for the reasonable (by San Francsico standards anyway) price.

The staff is very friendly, the room is comfortable, clean, but smell a little bit bad, is possible due the old carpet, with wifi, continental breakfast is good, . Is located to 8 blocks to union square, where the tourist bus makes a main stop. Theres a lot of choices to have meals.
