2012.6.23－26まで3泊しました。今回はハネムーンでの利用です。 このホテルの見た目は女の子が好きそうな外観、部屋の内装もピンクがところどころにあり扉を開けた瞬間「かわいい～！！」と大絶賛。 何よりホテルのスタッフの方が親切！英語がままならない私たちにゆっくりはっきり話してくれ、通じないと何度も話してくれました。スタッフの方の接客は日本の一流ホテル並です。アメリカなので接客は期待していなかったのですが、清掃の方と廊下で鉢合わせした際、「sorry」と言って部屋にひっこむ感じが日本の料亭のような雰囲気を感じさせました。 ホテル内のレストランは利用しませんでしたが、MENUに神戸牛や和牛を使っているみたいです。ホテル内のBARはロビーと通じているのですが、夜はJAZZの生演奏があります。 […] BARでは「ハネムーン」だと伝えるとシャンパンをプレゼントしてくれました。 中にはプールもあり、親子連れが利用していました。 ホテルの案内を読むとジムも無料で利用できるみたいです。 ランドリーサービスを利用したかったのですが、すごく値段が高く断念。Tシャツ1枚＄20くらいの値段だったと思います。高いけどきっと綺麗に丁寧に仕上げてくれるとは思いますが。 ホテル自体は3階建てなので、ビーチ沿いですが海は見えません。しかし、景色はよくなくても部屋が快適なのであまり気になりませんでした。もちろん海が見えたら一番良いですけどね。 また泊りたいと思う素敵なホテルでした。 もっと読む

Absolute luxury. The Betsy is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Located at the quieter end of Ocean drive, right opposite the beach. Theirs a section of the beach sectioned off for Betsy guests and serviced by 3 or 4 staff from 10-6, beach chairs and umbrellas are included in the $15 a day fee you […] pay on check in and the beach is amazing with warm water. The Betsy staff cannot do enough for you, the front door is always held open for you, the doorman take your bags and organise taxi's for you if necessary. The concierge know all the best restaurants/trips and are always on hand to make reservations and recommendations on your behalf. They have a turndown service which involves a maid coming into your room around 9pm and leaving a bottle of water, pulling back your covers ready for when you get back and leaving a towel and slippers for you - I've never had anything like that before, nice touch! You must try the BLT steak restaurant, my wife and I shared the 40oz sharing steak with fries and jalapeño mash and was by far the best piece of steak we'd ever had, followed by the most amazing dessert, it's a little bit of the pricey side with the bill coming in around $150 with drinks but would definitely recommend eating there at least once on your trip. This is a well run and beautiful hotel. It is on the north end of Ocean ave in south beach and away from the noise. The hotel was built in colonial style in the 1920's and has been restored well. The lobby is very classy with whites and blacks. The roms are beautiful with views of the beach. The service was first class.

The Betsy is one of the nicest hotels on Ocean Drive. The staff remembered us from a prior visit and the service was excellent. The room was nice, but the bathroom fan didn't work so the bathroom was very foggy after a shower and the water pressure was just ok. Overall a great place to stay.

The Betsy is a charming, well-located South Beach hotel. The rooms, while tiny, are nicely decorated. The linens are lovely, the bathroom products divine, the twice-daily maid service a treat. The major problem with the hotel: the sour staff. With the exception of the front desk staff and restaurant servers, the staff do not seem to understand the concept […] of "hospitality"... (I recommend that the Management head down the street to The Tides and take a lesson from them in creating an environment which radiates good cheer.) Not once during our stay did the doormen greet us with a smile and a "good morning" or "have a nice day" as we departed... There was no friendly banter from the bar staff. One barman went so far as to "teach us a lesson" by serving us a glass of water disguised as a martini when we sent back the cocktail that he clearly did not know how to make. The reveiws I read about this hotel were all spot on! It is a beautiful hotel outside and inside and it well situated at the top of Ocean Drive. The staff were very helpful and we were made to feel welcome from check in to check out. The bar area downstairs is great and the BLT restaurant is fantastic! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Downside is that for the cost ($$$$) the rooms were small with no drawers, no chair and a walk in shower that is problematic. There were also no real amenities. Overpriced. I am biased, because I am used to being spoiled when I travel. I like to be treated politely and with great customer service. My biggest complaint was the customer service.
