My expectactions where to high about this place. The amount of money we paid was not proportional with the quality of the hotel. The bathroom was not clean at all. And you can see little details around the room, the kitchen and the bathroom that show that they do not do a deep cleaning.

Bathroom was old with a lot of mildew spots. Most of the Time Sharing residents use to keep their doors open and rooms and aisles smells like a KFC o a fried food kiosk. Location is very good but we won't stay again; bottom line... We moved after the first night!

For the money, this hotel is worth every penny. All other hotels are nice but are over rated / expensive. Sleep at esj save money and youcould still go into any hotel, club, casino etc...

It was on the beach which was a plus the staff at the front desk were pleasant but the guy that is a the front door for free breakfast was taking his job way tooooo serious. This hotel is nothing like what the pictures suggest. The hotel is old and dated; one feels transported back 30 years but not in a nostalgia-good way. The view was nice at the 11 floor.. The security guard ia also a bellman who was doing 5 other people's job! The lady in front desk was covering breaks for 2 coworkers and looked like an octopus trying to multitask yes she made me wait for a long time and there were no other guests in line. I had a great time the hotel is very well located to it is very convenient. The breakfast was very good. The only thing is that the room is outdated, but is spaces. Service was good and well priced compared to other hotels in the area. I will stay again.

Only problem we had was we ordered a king size bed and got 2 doubles. It was ok since we were there only one night. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had easy access to the beach and a beautiful pool. The staff members were friendly, professional and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms could have been cleaner and updated but worked well for our business trip. Great beach and pool was nice, though we only really used it to grab drinks on our way to the beach. At $187 a night it is a great price for a beach location in San Juan. If we head back for business again we would probably stay there again.

For the price and the description of this hotel I was very disappointed. Rooms were very much in need of a complete overhaul. Linens were in very bad shape. There was very little customer service. I will not rebook at this hotel again

Friendly people good pool loads of restraunts close transportation. Interseting Spanglish. Only the red seaweed bloom om the east coast was a negative.

THIS IS NOT THE ESJ HOTEL AND RESORT, BUT IT IS A "0*" HOTEL TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE ESJ REPUTATION. THE STAFF WAS RUDE, THE ROOMS WERE DARK AND DIRTY, THE ICE MACHINE DID NOT WORK, THE FOOD WAS NON EXISTENT.

Outdated, furniture has not been dust for years! Plus when I booked our room I purchased breakfast included the hotel wants me to pay extra for my 2 kids because only two adults comes in the room. My itinerary never mention that I have to pay for kids!

It was great large room, full kitchen, washer/dryer, sofa bed, and very clean. The only thing was they didn't have a restaurant on the premises for dinner. The continental breakfast was good, and the offerings for lunch were fine. Next to the San Juan Hotel. Room has a small kitchen and there is a supermarket @ 5 min walking distance. 2 min from the airport and next to other hotels. friendly staff.

The hotel is clean and close to the beach. Rooms are good size,comfortable and clean. Too bad I did not have an ocean view like I did previously. Had trouble opening the door. The key or the lock did not work properly. Staff trying to help out also had problems but offer no solution. I was left to deal with it.

ESJ is mo longer part of El San Juan Hotel. Accordingly the class and style are not what is pervasive at the El San Juan. Amenities are there. After a delayed flight into San Juan, arrived to the ESJ. The staff from the security guards to the front desk were attentive, friendly and redponsive to our needs. Did not expect a full kitchen. It had everything. The room was a really nice size and had a nice view for the money. The only thing I would say bad is the bathroom. It was small. Over all the staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean. We would say here again.

We have been staying there for years - nothing has changed - 10 minutes from the airport - good beach - great location. People are older but very friendly - great having a kitchenette. Bingo at the pool every day at 2 pm - what more do you want

The ESJ is in need for a redo. It has a very tired air about it. However -- the location and attachement the the El San Juan cant be beat . We stayed 1 night bc it was close to the airport. the staff was very friendly, and the service was fine. Good cheap place, to stay on the strip.
