　 　　夜寒くて、ものすごく抵抗があった。暖かくするもの 　　 　　が何もなかった。

コスパに見合っていると思います。場所的には便利でちょっとした観光地の繁華街です。そのため、喧騒を逃れてのんびりしたい人には、近所の夜の賑わいが迷惑でしょう。建物や設備は、経年によるもので仕方ないと思います。3棟あるうちのフィットネスクラブのある棟のオーシャンビューのお部屋にしましたが、間違いなく真ん前には海が開け、キレイな夕日が見られました。有料の無線LANが利用可能ですが、米国内の主要通信会社のスマホは普通に使えます。

高級リゾートまでは行きませんが、庶民が過ごすにはちょうど良かった。 近くにスタバもあるし、スーパーもあったので不自由はないです。 受付に日本人のスタッフがいるので、地元情報を聞けて助かりました。 エレベーターの到着音が部屋のチャイムに聞こえて何回か目が覚めたことがあったので、それが残念。

典型的な西洋風リゾートホテルであった。泊まったのはタワーと呼ばれる短期宿泊用の棟で、オーシャンビュー（オーシャンフロントではないが、パーシャルビューよりは大きな視界）の部屋だった。部屋には専用バルコニーがあり、そこで夕陽を見ながら飲むワインは最高である。部屋には冷蔵庫があるので、近くのスーパーで簡単なおつまみとワインを買えば、十分にプライベートバーができあがる。また夜、見降ろすと太平洋の島々の伝統ダンスショーが見えるし、ちょっとカクテルが飲みたければ、海の前にあるバーコーナーに行くと、波がくだける目の前でオリジナルマイタイを飲むことができる。ちょっと甘いのは、という方におすすめなのは、オリジナルのRIMというカクテルだ。一つ残念だったのはシャワー部屋のシャワーで、使い方が分かるまでに、相当苦 […] 労した。またバスタブがないのがいやだと少し辛いかもしれない。いずれにしてもアメリカ本土からバカンスにくる老夫婦が多い、つまり、静かに過ごす時間を買うのに最適なリゾートであった。若い方は、歩いて行けるところにラフなスタイルで気軽に入れるカフェやバー、レストランもあり、ABCストアというコンビニまで行けば、大抵のものは買える。 私はいつもレンタカーで一人旅をするので、パーキングシステムにも慣れていて驚かなかったが、何度もパーキングのスタッフとやり取りをするはめになった。空港から近いのでタクシーやホテルの送迎を利用するのであれば問題ないが。もし運転に自信があるならば、コナからヒロへチョコレートを買いに行き、帰りにキラウェアへ寄り、日が落ちた直後の火口を見ると良い。帰りは反対側を走るので、ちょうどハワイ島一周となる。また、四輪駆動を借りれば、自分でマヌアケアの天文台群まで登り、夕日や星空を心行くまで堪能できる。もちろん運転が不安な方は、ホテルピックアップのオプショナルツアーを申し込めば、安心して連れて行ってもらえる。ただし、4000メートルを超えるので、血中酸素濃度が６０％くらい、鼓動が１１０を超えるので、呼吸器系疾患や動脈硬化などに不安がある方はやめた方が良い。また日が落ちると摂氏0度くらいになるので、防寒具も必須である。特に耳、首、手を守る方が良い。その他様々なマリンスポーツ、ヘリコプターのツアー、潜水艦などがあるらしいが経験しなかったので、ここでは控える。 もし国立公園のパスを持っているならば、キラウエアにあるボルケノ国立公園、それと西海岸に2か所かる国立歴史地区をたずねてみれば、自然遺産と文化遺産の両方を知ることができる。この場合はレンタカーの方が良いと思う。 私は、全米50州めぐりの最後に、このハワイ島を選んで、今回その素晴らしさに感動した。 もっと読む

2泊しました。立地、環境、部屋からの眺めは良いです。問題なく泊まれるホテルだと思います。ただ、日本人デスクの方が非常に残念な人です。無愛想とかいう問題ではなく、人を嫌な気分にさせる応対しかできず、モノの言い回しが全て非常に腹立たしい。なぜ接客業を選んだのか謎だし、現地の人に「あれが日本人」と思われてたら遺憾。改善を望みます。気分を害されたくなければ日本語が通じなくても、現地のフロントの方とお話されることをオススメします。

部屋は広くてベッドも大きくて海の前にあるのでハワイを感じることができます。 しかし、フロントの接客はリゾート系のホテルとしてはとても冷たく無愛想に見えました。 また、日本語スタッフがいるということだったのですが実際泊まってみると4日のうち1日だけいました。日本語スタッフもあまりいい対応はしてくれません。 レストランも日本語メニューありと書いてあったのですがドリンクのみが日本語メニューがありフードメニューはありませんでした。ツアーはレンタカーがあってホテルでは寝るだけと考えれば普通のホテルだと思います。ある程度の英語が必要そうです。

バルコニーから見える海、波の音を聞きながらの昼寝、プライベートラグーン（ビーチみたいな入江）やプールでの水遊び、開放的なロビー、ゆったりとした部屋、徒歩圏内の海沿いのショッピングモールと、リゾート気分を満喫できた良いホテルでした。ただ、お風呂だけが…海外のホテルなので期待はしていませんでしたが、シャワーヘッドが動かず（ホースで伸びないタイプ）作りが古いために水圧もシャワーヘッドからの水の広がりもいまいち。万遍なく体を流すことができず、特に私達は乳児連れだったので、お風呂に入った気がしませんでした。それ以外は素敵なホテルで、食べるところや買い物をするところへの利便性も良いです。（コナショッピングビレッジまで徒歩10～15分ぐらい。それまでも道にも食べるところはたくさんあります。）朝ごはんはホテ […] ルのレストランのビュッフェもよさそうでしたが、私達はホテルすぐ近くにある自然食品のお店でアサイーボウルをテイクアウトしてバルコニーで食べました。海がとにかく間近で最高でした。滞在される方にはとにかくスケジュールをつめこまず、一日はホテルでのんびりリゾートライフを満喫することをお勧めします。 もっと読む

レストランとバーとエントランスのビユーが最高です。 ブレックファーストは、バァフェ式で、昔より美味しくなりました。しかも、他のホテルより安いです。パーキングが有料なのが、残念です。

宿泊した部屋は、7F ｵｰｼｬﾝﾌﾛﾝﾄﾋﾞｭｰでしたが、このﾎﾃﾙのｺｽﾄﾊﾟﾌｫｰﾏﾝｽが高く十分満足致しました。(部屋及び朝食) また、夜間遅くなるﾂｱｰに参加するため、このﾎﾃﾙに一泊したのですが、こちらが望んでいたことにｽﾑｰｽﾞに対応して頂きました。

このホテルから見る夕日が最高、レンタカーを利用しないので、利便性が良い の理由で 選びました。 夕日はもちろん絶品でしたが、バイキングの朝食も美味しかったし、なにより海を間近に眺めながら ゆったりとした気分で朝食をとれたのは 最高に気分が 良かったです。遠くで いるかが バシャッと 跳ねたりしましたよ！ ただ 部屋のコーヒーメーカーは 清潔なのかもしれませんが 渋のためか 変色していて、使うのが ためらわれました。しかも うまく コーヒーが入れられませんでした。 壊れていたのか 使い方を 間違ったのか？ ベッドの寝心地は グッド！ 夫婦して腰痛もちなので 心配してましたが、 気持ちよく 眠れました。 碌に英語も話せない私たちでしたが 日本語で対応してくださったフロントスタッフさん に 感謝し […] ています。 もっと読む

直前割引を使って利用しました。 安く滞在したかったのでボルケーノビューを予約していましたが、案内された部屋からは海がばっちり！パーシャルオーシャンビューでもなく、ばっちりオーシャンビューでした！ とても大きなホテルですが、私が泊まった時期はそんなに人が多い時期じゃなかったようで、空いてる一番いい部屋に通してくれたようです。部屋からの眺めは素晴らしく、サンセットもばっちりみえました。 海に面してバーやレストランがあるので、とても気持ちがいいです。お酒を飲みながらのサンセット、海の目の前で食べる朝食は最高でした。 プールもよかったですが、ラグーンテラスという場所で夕暮れ時に読書するのはほんとに気持ちがよかったです。 カイルアコナの中心にあるのに騒がしくなく、とても素敵なホテルでした。是非また泊ま […] りたいと思います。 もっと読む

We upgraded to an ocean front room omg it was so beautiful. The ocean was almost under our balcony. just amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful. The location was great would absolutely recommend this hotel

Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Nothing great though. And having to pay for parking and Internet was super lame. Would probably not stay here again, just splurge and stay at the Marriott or Hilton up the coast.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the last was 4 years ago. You couldn't ask for a better location in Kona. Our room was an ocean front, large and a huge lanai. Had AC but slept with the 2 sliding doors open to hear the waves crashing and to get the cool night air. the couch in the room however was so filthy, that we asked them to exchange […] it. They said the didn,t have another, so I had them cover the couch and chair with sheets, otherwise we would not have used them. I have seen cleaner couches out for the garbage. When the guy from housekeeping came to cover it he saw it and said "Oh my goodness". The hotel is getting run down and needs to be renovated. Sliding door locks don't work so they have attached another lock to the door and the frame. The bathroom was okay but had to be slammed if you wanted it to stay closed. Carpets are worn and it is definately a 3 star hotel. After saying this, we would stay there again. Depends on the room location, but we had a great view and the room we could put up with. Staff extremely friendly and accomodating. restaurant only open for dinner 3 nights a week, but food is good, and also great location with tables right on the ocean. もっと読む

Enjoyed my stay, room was clean, modern, staff provided good service. Room had flat screen TV with good selection of channels. Hotel restaurant provided good selection of local food. There is also a Luau available on property. Would stay again.

Our corner room was spacious with a generous deck, which we loved. The room smelled a little musty when we entered but after opening both sets of sliders, the odor seemed to dissipate. We enjoyed a drink and food at the hotel bar where the service was friendly and the view was lovely. Very happy over all with our stay at the Royal Kona Resort,beautiful views and and accommodation was roomy,cosy with a magic view of the ocean and sun set

The location was perfect for walking around historic Kona. We did have to switch rooms since the first room didn't have hot water for showers. Staff was very kind and helpful! I would stay here again.

I thought this was a beautiful hotel, from the lobby, to the resturant, to the rooms. It was very open and comfortable, and everything you needed was right there! The staff was very friendly, and I loved the open air bar/resturant area. Our room had a huge corner balcony. The room was large & comfortable. This hotel is located in a scenic spot easy walk to shops and restsurants. The building is dated but service was good, room was clean and had all we needed.

The hotel is conveniently located near all the Kona night life, as well as right on the ocean front. Although the service was adequate, since there were four of us, not enough towels were provided. Also, it was surprising coffee was only available for the first morning, and no more. We were expected to purchase additional packets in their sundries shop, […] kind of a chinzy deal. Our "ocean view" was of three palm trees!!!! We were however able to change rooms the last two days to the Bay tower with an ocean view. We have had better breakfast buffets for free at the Best Western and Days Inn Hotels. Definately overpriced for what you get.

Great stay. Got free view of the Luau show from our balcony and the staff were very helpful with a late check out time and the use of a room to clean up before we left for our red eye flight home.

Me and my family had a great time at The Royal Kona Resort. i have'nt stayed there for a very long time. I would really recommend friends and family to stay there. The location was beautiful, especially because we got ocean view,at a slightly higher cost, ofcourse. I had a great room with a view of the mountains on the right side and the view of the ocean when I was sitting in bed on the left window's. The room was a top room 7th floor on the corner. The hotel's grounds were just absolutely gorgeous! Located directly next to the ocean, sitting poolside or at the bar and gazing out as the sun was setting and the tranquility of it all was amazing. And I felt at ease with the price because we weren't spending nearly as much as you would think they could charge for this wonderful resort. We loved our stay here. The rooms are bit dated but very clean. The landscaping, lobby, views etc. are great! The bar has the best Mai tais at a reasonable price. You can walk to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again. Great value for the price

The hotel location is perfect, 1 minute walk to town. Quiet at night, and no road noise during the day. A very peaceful place to stay at. Had a beautiful luau setting, and the pool area is clean and convenient to the rooms, restaurant, and bar. Amazing sunsets right from the restaurant, or sitting area. The hotel three star rating would indicate a level of cleanliness and updated accommodations that did not match our expectations. Although the outside of the hotel was well groomed and the beach view was excellent, the inside of the hotel simply sucked. The elevator was old with a rug to match and with stains and scuffs along the walls. The hallway […] carpet was old and dirty. The room carpet was old and dirty with visible stains. The room was also dusty and smelled of mildew and the dust that caked the detailings of the room; the fixtures and electronics are probably 15-20+ years old; the craftsmanship is poor in regards to the wall painting, carpeting, and wood work; the wall mirror, chairs and baseboards were chipped and the walls and door at foot level were scuffed and stained as well. The sliding glass door was old, dirty (as in, caked in dust), and difficult to operate. The bathroom was simply disgusting; the bathtub was last cleaned during the rein of King Kamehameha I with black rim around the fixtures, brown stains on the floor of the tub, dust-filled air conditioning vents, rusted walls and metal fittings and black mold on caulk. Notice the repetition of "old" and the stress on the dirtiness. To be fair, the hotel has three towers. We didn't stay in the main one and I didn't care to go in. Needs a major renovation. The carpets are old and stained. The rooms were old. The redeeming factor was the amazing ocean view.

Great location. Great view of ocean from pool. Rooms nice enough. We needed a fan to help keep our room cool enough but i like it very cool. Restaurant food and bar service good but priced as you would expect a seaside Hawaii resort would be. Very convenient to local kona restaurants and shops.

The hotel is in a great location, but the pool is really lack luster, there is no room service and the overall appearance of the hotel is quite dated.

Loved the lobby and sitting watching the ocean, the bar, the drinks and food, and just vegging downstairs but the room was in need of cleaning and updating (ceramic tiles shouldn't have "dust bunnies" and hair in corners and on edges of tiles), and the "ocean view" was more a view of service area and back lane and parking. Great location for sunset viewing.

We have never visited the big island and booked this purely from Hotel.com reviews. We thought it was great and a very good value. We loved the location. Just a few blocks down the street from major tourist strip. One the water with a very good view. We would stay there again.

While prices at the bar and restaurant are too high, In my opinion, this is a great place to stay for a few days. Really close to downtown and all its restaurants and shopping stores.
