Rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is friendly, quick and helpful but my room was near the elevator which "dinged" loudly every time it stopped at my floor and I could hear the phone and muted conversation from the room next door.

A great place to relax. The hotel was very clean. We loved the indoor pool and fitness room. A great value. Awesome cinnamon rolls at breakfast.. I would stay there many more times...

Was assigned a room smelling freshly of primer paint. Was "upgraded'' to a similarly disappointing room, with completely weird arrangement of furniture, and vibe. The pillows were terrible too. Wouldn't let my friends or family stay at this one!

the folks at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We would go back again. The entrance from the highway was not clear, that was the only negative.

Room was rather spartan. There were hairs on the sheets that I needed to remove. Not sure if they changed the sheets that day or their laundry service is not great.

Front desk very helpful.

My wife and I were displaced from our home by an extended power outage. This hotel provided a very comfortable environment for us for 3 days. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the facilities were new, and well maintained. And it's really close to shopping of all types.

We stayed three days at this hotel and from our late check in through our check out the front desk staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. When I wasn't able to print out directions to a local sight we wanted to visit staff not only printed out a detailed map for us, but also offered us the hotel's only paper map guide. The hotel is convenient to Amherst/Northampton and is overall a decent place to stay. Only complaint is that the beds were a little hard and the linens & pillows were rather low quality.

The staff at this hotel were exceptionally nice and welcoming. I truly appreciated their professionalism.

Very friendly staff to suggest us upgrade to a suite for all family of 5. The room discomfortable, spacious n clean. The environment is nice and close to shopping mall.

Having recently had a disastrous, horrifying experience at an Econolodge in Malone, NY (ew), I was a bit worried having made a reservation at a Holiday Inn Express..I've never stayed in one before. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the exercise room was nice, and the complimentary breakfast was abundant and tasty. The only criticism I have of it, is the same critique another reviewer mentioned. I stayed on a ground level room, and there were no privacy curtains. Sure there was some gauzy cloth […] covering the window, but it didn't offer much privacy. Also, if I felt like sleeping in, there was no way to block out the sun. Clean convenient place to stay. Very close to Amherst. Friendly staff, desk was manned late. Decent breakfast, not as good as some of the coffee and bakery available a few minutes down the road on Amherst.. I would stay here again.

I had to travel through some rough looking neighborhoods around Hadley and felt at eased with where this hotel is situated. Local eateries are within minutes of this hotel. And I feel safe driving out alone. Safety is number one priority.

pros: very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice work-out room, free wi-fi in room. cons: did not fully clean room the 3 nights we were there: (cracker crumbs still on carpet and did not refill coffee cups or tissue box), could easily hear people walking above us while trying to sleep. The worst thing was that the bathroom fan came on every time the […] bathroom light came on so forget about hearing anything going on in the room when you are doing your hair, etc in bathroom. My stay here was wonderful. Not only is the hotel in walking distance to several shopping plazas, which included whole foods, trader joe's, barnes and noble, bed and bath and so many more. The fitness area was small but had a great treadmill ,eliptical, bike and a few dumbells. The Pool and whirlpool were right next door, with an outdoor patio with seating for nice weather enjoyment. Breakfast was about as good as a continental breakfast can be, bagels, toast, scrambled egg circles like you might find at a dunkin donuts, cereals, danish, yogurt, boiled eggs, and juice. Simple. Days is an excellent value for the money. Clean rooms, complimentary breakfast, pleasant employees. Location is by highway so could hear the traffic late at night. Not a deal breaker for me.

This hotel is one of the best in the chain of Holiday Inn, it is very clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. My only problem with it is that I stayed on the first floor and the curtains were impossible to draw (they were fixed in place) so when the lights are lit anyone in the parking lot could see what is going on inside. I stayed at The Holiday Inn Express in Hadley for a "get-away" overnight with my three children during their February break from school. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the pool and hot tub were open early and closed late (which is very important with children!), and the location was near many restaurants and shopping areas. The free […] breakfast was much appreciated as well. Also, when the pool area ran out of towels, I made a call to the front desk and more towels were brought quickly with a smile. This is the 2nd time i have stayed here. Both times the front desk was helpful and everything was as planned. It snowed the night I stayed over, and they had snow broom/windshield cleaners available to borrow. Nice touch! Will certainly stay again when I am back in the area on business

There is nothing luxurious about this hotel, but it's well maintained, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is good and the pool is very nice. My one complaint is that they didn't make up my room after the first night. We had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door until about about 12:30 and apparently the housecleaning staff had left for the day by then. […] When I returned around 8:00 that evening I was told there was no housekeeper on duty anymore and the room couldn't be made up. They did send fresh towels to the room. I can live with making my own bed for the night, but it seems kind of surprising that the housekeeping staff works 1/2 day. もっと読む

This is what a hotel should be—a no excuses, professionally run establishment. Great value for money. We took the deluxe double and were not disappointed. Sometimes it's good to splurge!

All usual plus qualities of an HIE hotel including very nice pool and outdoor sitting area. Only let down was at breakfast - staff were slow to replenish and lack of fresh fruit and proper butter was a disappointment.

I was disappointed that my I Phone charging cord was not reported to lost and found. Either careless or crooked. Either way, bad news.

This hotel is extremely clean. I have a real issue with bathrooms and theirs were perfect! The lighting was wonderful for putting on makeup, nice size and bathtubs were clean - as if they were brand new! Very comfortable beds too! We had no complaints what so ever. We stayed at this hotel while visiting some nearby colleges. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently and was very nice. The continental breakfast was great, with many choices. The entrance was a bit difficult to find, as it is a divided highway. Keep an eye out for the Enter sign.

Very disappointing. Room was dirty and did not lock. We requested another room. It was better but still had a smell. Very disappointed with Holiday Express on this occasion
