I enjoyed my stay. There is no elevator and the stairs are a challenge (narrow, winding, steep) but worth it for the price and location. I'd go again.

We chose this hotel for its excellent location, just a few blocks from Notre Dame, river & right in the center city. We did have some trouble finding it, no directions on the website. I read reviews on other websites and the only complaint was the stairs...yes, they are very windy and steep! But, I managed it! It is not an easy in and out hotel because of the stairs. I just planned my day to leave and sight see and not come back till the end of the day. Not much spare room in the room but I didn't need much. You have a private bathroom […] and shower which was very clean and nice. The staff were helpful when ever I asked questions. If you need all the frizzles of a nice hotel this is not the hotel for you! This hotel is right off the subway line. There are cafe's, restaurants, bar's, bakery's on the same block! The best feature of the hotel is its location. The Marait is hard to beat and this hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the Mariat. Convieniet patiseries, supermarches,and specialty boutiques line rue Saint Antoine. Transportation is made simple with the easy access to the Metro. The hotel is clean and although obviously old well attended to. However for the price I believe there are probably better quality hotels in the same neighborhood. The hotel almost has a narrow claustrophobic feel about it. And the stairs...yes I'd read the reviews so was forewarned. I had little luggage: one light carry on and one small back pack. 1 nuit au 5ème étage sans ascenseur, ça va ! je m'y attendais en lisant les commentaires des autres. L'Hotel est très central, dans le Marais. Les chambres sur rue sont un peu bruyantes à cause de la bouche de métro qui est juste en bas (bruit de l'escalier mécanique). La salle de bain est très propre, la déco très moderne et branchée, et la chambre très bien chauffée. Attention, l'escalier est étroit, et très raide.

Hemska trappor dom alla andra skrivet,men de funkade! Jättebra område, jättemysiga restauranger i närheten. Men, jättesmå rum, du betalar bara för läget, man kunde knappt vända sug i rummet så jag skulle nog vilja betala lite mindre pengar för det hotellet. Skulle nog inte bo där igen för dom pengarna! Men väldigt bra läge!

Trevlig personal och perfekt läge nära till alla mysiga barer och restauranger i Marais. Och trapporna (lite "Lustiga huset"!) adderade bara charm till hotellet...

Très bonne situation, c'est bien son seul avantage. Accès aux chambres par escalier en colimaçon problématique, à déconseiller aux personnes âgées. La chambre attribuée donnant sur rue est très mal isolée phoniquement (bruit de rues, salle de bain voisine...). Pas de facture en partant...promise par mail, que j'attends toujours.
