Rio is a true World City. And, Ipanema is one of the most desired places in this city. The Ipanema Inn is a great launching pad for about anything you want to do in Rio. If you bring the right expectations, you'll be very happy. If you expect this to be a "destination" hotel, you will be disappointed. This is a safe hotel in a very cool neighborhood […] with serious, but not solicitous, staff. The rooms are basic and clean, but not luxurious, not a resort. You will find yourself about one block from the beach, steps from great bars, neighborhood restaurants and shopping. This hotel is definitely a great value. Nice hotel near Ipanema. We had a good stay at the hotel - great location. Good breakfast included. Do not pay the 15% "cash only proposal tourist tax" to the persons in the reception. This is just money straight into the pockets for the employees in the reception - and they do not deserve this.

Despite having booked and paid in advance with hotels.com we were told on arrival that there would be a further 10 percent service charge added to the room bill - only when forcefully challenged did the receptionist admit that this was voluntary. This soured the start of the stay. Otherwise this is a good value for its location.

Okay, the Ipanema Inn is not the fancy twin of the other thousand dollar a night hotels in Rio's beach area. But Ipanema has its own style and it is relaxed low key service for a minimal price. Wonderful location. Safe. Responsive staff. You don't stay in Ipanema for this price without some compromises. Stay here and have rational and reasonable expectations for a hotel that delivers the basics and leaves you steps away from so much that Rio has to offer.

Inn is located in perfect location of Ipanema Beach. Lobby is small but nice with a nice art shop. Breakfast was decent with a few choices. Room was very small and difficult to maneuver past bed to bath for two persons. Old outdated 12in TV hung from ceiling with terrible sound but room was clean. We spent 2 nights. Would stay at a larger hotel next […] time. They suggested a 10percent service fee in cash when we first checked in and never gave us our wake up call the first morning. People were polite though. Hotel is basic though clean. The price tag is ok for the features, but shoudl not be more. Location is perfect !

Hotel was clean. Interior superior double had Two twin size beds. Tv tiny and mounted high on wall. Hotel staff friendly and tour options available at front desk. Breakfast was greak, scrambled eggs, meat, breads, juice. Location perfect. Stay here for the price and the location, not because of the hotel qualities.

we stayed at ipanema for four nights.. the superior room was clean, but very small.. hotel staff w/ exception of two bellman and the night desk person who also speaks french was a bit aloof. location was GREAT. couldnt' ask for better spot if u like to walk on beach. was disappointed in the service change business.. thought i had paid service charge […] when i reserved and paid by amex. got to hotel and before we were even checked in - staff told us we had prepaid for room but would own service charge upon check out. that could only b paid in cash. when we checked out - we given a bill for $50 in service charge. that again - could only b paid in cash. when queried - the staff did admit it was "not required" - but quickly added - necessary to help out staff.. we left $40 - because we also wanted to leave our luggage til our taxi came.. but this extra - cash - charge really is inappropriate and hotels.com should address this. もっと読む

Hotel facility is too expensive for what you get! Very friendly staff although the room is not very comfortable. Old furniture, small (tube) screen TV, air condicioning too noisy/old. Great location, safe and very upscale neighbourhood.

This hotel is conveniently located half a block from Ipanema beach. As a prime area, rooms are expensive. I stayed in two different rooms, neither or which was anything special given the price. There was no free Internet. The room facing the street got noisy at times. The included breakfast was basic. I checked the box next to "recommend the hotel […] to others," but grudgingly. When I return to Rio I will research other places given the value for the price. To get to the airport, check out the special airport bus for only 9 reiais [v. about 60+ for a taxi]. You can get it right at the beach near the hotel [heading east, the lane closer to the beach], but you have to look for it and flag it down or, as I learned, it will not stop! I got a good "special rate" through hotels.com and the hotel was fully booked when I checked in. Even though it said on my Hotels.com receipt that it included Tax & Service, the hotel expected me to pay a service charge/tip in cash when I checked-out. The hotel is on a really nice quiet street which is a short walk from the Ipanema Metro stop. The hotel is only 1 block from Ipanema Beach and several shops and restaurants (Delicio Tropical). The staff were helpful and polite; giving good local advice. I would definitely stay at this hotel again - it is tremendous value for the location. Really not a hotel that I'll recommend to colleagues. Rooms are too small so are the beds.Looks like a student dormitory. Breakfast was OK. Internet service isn't free. TV is too small and old model.

Pretty standard, good location, uncomforatable beds, expensive internet.

A pleasant hotel ideally located in the heart of Ipanema, a half block from the beach and in walking distance of good restaurants and shopping. The property is clean and well-kept, the staff is courteous and helpful, and an extensive breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Probably the best value in this lovely neighborhood.

I would say the hotel is average. It's a good deal for the location, but beware if you are a light sleeper. It is on a busy street, especially with foot traffic from the neighboring bars on weekends. Our check out process took much longer than it should have. Also, at one point when I returned to the hotel at night I was told that the room I was staying […] in wasn't occupied. O ponto forte desse hotel é definitivamente a sua ótima localização. Fica a poucos metros da praia de Ipanema, entre os postos 9 e 10. Ótimas lojas, bares e restaurantes no entorno, tudo para se fazer a pé. As dependências são apenas OK - nada digno de muitos elogios ou críticas. No meu retorno ao Rio, sem duvidas alguma irei me hospedar no Ipanema Inn, é simplesmente maravilhoso; otima localização, proximo ao posto 9, o melhor de ipanema. O cafe da manha e bem gostosinho. Toda equipe esta de parabens.

Pelo preço da diária, o café da manhã é péssimo, sem reposição. Precisamos pedir mais de uma vez para repor itens básicos como café preto e queijo. O quarto tem decoração antiga e o chuveiro é muito ruim, tivemos muita dificuldade para regular a temperatura da água. A localização é excelente.

Me encantó mi estadía en Rio de Janeiro. El Hotel está cerca de restaurantes, playas, tiendas y de fácil acceso a transporte para otros lugares de la ciudad.

Otima localização, porém,. velho, pequeno e caro

O hotel tem uma localização fantástica, a meia quadra da praia de Ipanema. É confortável e tem como ponto alto seu porteiro e quase host Almir. Simpático, cheio de dicas, torna a chegada e a saída ao hotel uma alegria. Única recomendação é que os travesseiros sejam lavados com freqüência, pois, mesmo com fronhas limpas, o cheiro não era agradável

Hotel com café da manhã com poucas opções. No check out queriam cobrar mais uma taxa de 10% sobre a diária (não havia essa informação no momento da reserva) com a justificativa de "caixinha" para os funcionários.

A julgar pela localização e preço, não consigo pensar em um custo-benefício maior. Meia quadra do ponto 9 de Ipanema, com bom bares e restaurantes pertinho... Dá pra fazer tudo por ali mesmo, a pé. Sem falar que há ônibus que vão por todas as partes saindo por ali. Recomendo.

90% do preço que você paga é pela localização do hotel, pois o preço não compensa nada pelo quarto e os serviços oferecidos. Quarto pequeno, pedimos uma cama de casal e havia 2 camas de solteiro, banheiro acanhado, parece mais uma pensão do que um hotel.

Hotel com excelente localização em Ipanema. Tanto para quem quer curtir a praia (Posto 9) quanto para quem quer curtir o bairro. O quarto frente rua tem o tamanho ideal. Só a cama de casal que na verdade eram duas de solteiro, o que incomoda um pouco. Café da manhã bom e pessoal da recepção bem prestativo. Limpo, agradavel e bem localizado. Dica - Melhorar o café da manhã.

Quando fiz a reserva, ficou claro que seriam para 2 pessoas mais uma criança. Fiz o pagamento antecipado de acordo com o valor das diárias para npos três. Chegando lá fiquei surpreso pois me cobraram cama extra. Com esse acréscimo o valor da diária ficou maior do que diárias de hoteis com melhor luxo/classificação. Vecino al hotel se encuentran dos bares que tienen clientes las 24 horas. El ruido y las peleas es constante toda la noche. Hacen rugir los motores, gritan y hablan a gritos. Es muy molesto si se quiere dormir y descansar de noche.

Hotel antigo,sem manutenção,começando pelos móveis.Não vale custo-benefício.

ESTUVE MUY POCAS HORAS. DE LAS 6 DE LA MAÑANA AL MEDIO DÍA. TODO ME PARECIÓ CORRECTO
