A was not there an hour and 2 people had opened my door I don't know who it was the second time I had the dead bolt on. The second day I had a native guy call my room accosting me as to where his briefcase was, and who I was what room I was in. Also it was very dry and I was also almost waking up with nose bleeds. Never again!!!!!!!

Our room looked over the pool/waterslide area that opened early and stayed open late. Our room had a vent directly to the pool area letting all the noise in. Why would you put older people who had no children in a room like that? Why is there a hole in the wall directly to the pool that can't be shut? Seriously messed up. Very convenient as all the family was also here along with wedding and reception. Especially when one was in a wheel chair which the hotel provided made this so easy for us to to keep together and move around without having to travel outside if we didn't want to. Recommend this, even though we didn't take advantage of the pool.

Very loud with pool view rooms as they have vents on walls that open to pool area.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Victoria Inn. The room was neat and clean; the hallways were tidey and clean; the restaurant had good food, well presented and served. All in all a very satisfying stay.

Very pleased with my 4 day stay. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and it is right up there with the best in that price range. Only concerns were that the computer was not as good as it could have been, in that, the keyboard stuck on a lot of letters. Noise from the pool area can be heard in pool view rooms. Pool open from early in the morning until late evening.

Stayed for 3 nights (Fri - Sun) with my Wife and daughter, room had a poolside view which was nice but meant that you needed to keep the drapes closed. Because of the amenities this hotel attracts a lot of younger couples with small children which combined with thin walls can make for quite a bit of noise. needs to be refurbished

The only reason why I booked a room at this hotel was because there was pool with hot tub. I have two little kids and they were looking forward to going swimming. We had some noisy neighbours in the adjoining room and i called the front desk. They delivered new room keys to the room within 5 minutes,great service.

The Hotel is "OK", convenient location but once I returned back to the Hotel after a long day of meetings I noticed my BlackBerry Charger missing from the nightstand so I called the Front Desk and the gentleman that answered was quite let's say uncooperative. I told him what had happened and he just transferred me to Housekeeping which I received no […] response. I called him back and asked him to contact the people need to return my charger, his response was' I have no time"!! I remained him he worked for a hotel and the front desk is the front line to customer service, his chosen profession was the "Hospitality Industry". Would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying long term. The walls are paper thin, the bathroom is the size of a closet and the type of people that stay at this hotel party until 3 in the morning, pull the fire alarm at 4am. Hotel staff were below average in quality of service, but what made our stay unbearable were the lowlifes staying at the hotel. Other patrons allowed their young children to run up and down the hallways screaming all hours of the night. Very close to airport, very comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I didn't eat there, but they do have a restaurant. Loved the bed, and the bathroom was really nice.

We stayed at the Victoria Inn so we could have an easy trip to the airport using their complimentary shuttle service. Everything was great.

Staff were all friendly....would of liked a better rate, but....I like the place because the bar staff and front desk staff are very pleasant.

Over priced nightly rates appreciate the breakfast, but still the room rates pay for such as I'm a frequent traveller out of this area.

There was no wifi in the room, as I had to use the lobby (front room) to get it work with my ipad 2. only internet cable cord was provided but wifi only worked for 2 hours, then i had to go outside the room in the hall to continue. breakfast was okay, service very slow! Thanks

We were in a room with an adjoining door to the next room. There is very little soundproofing. We could hear every word spoken in the room next door. Not sure what you can do about it, but thank goodness for ear plugs! Otherwise, our stay was great.

Stayed at the Victoria Inn 1 night only. The other 'decent' hotels were booked up so I thought I might be getting the dregs. Boy was I wrong! My husband had to go to Thunder Bay on business for the week and I went along as well. We were impressed with the excellent service from housekeeping, the front desk and the restaurant. It was an exceptional added bonus getting a full breakfast off the menu each morning of our stay.There were some restrictions (side orders) but imagine getting Eggs […] Benedict included in free breakfast! The Victoria Inn is on a busy main street (Arthur) in Thunder Bay, it is close to everything. However, the rooms are minimal as far as comfort. I would not recommend the restaurant, Chicago Joe's. The first night we found hair in the food; the next morning for breakfast, I had a coffee cup with a lipstick stain still on it. Not impressed.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly/attentive, like free full breakfast (not a carb fest). Pool area is great for kids...I have never seen such a big water slide indoors. The pool area is totally enclosed. The restaurant was great, with good service and food. I am a business traveler and see lots of hotels, and the Victoria Inn is a good choice.

Hotel was spendy for what you got..

Overall, this hotel wasn't too bad. It is an older hotel and you can see that in the rooms and the general upkeep. The washroom is very small and is not as pristine as I like in hotel washrooms. Check in quick and pleasant. Restaurant was VERY dark, gloomy, overpriced & stinky. Room was clean - but smelled like feet, bad placement of window. Towels not replenished, had to ask, bathmat NOT replaced.

Would not hesitate to return to this Hotel. Restaurant has a excellent staff and the food is especially good.

We loved our stay at the Victoria, it was just too short! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The location, perfect! Comfortable, with all the amenities of home. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Thunder Bay.

This is by far the best hotel in Thunder Bay. New, clean rooms with flat screen TVs, free REAL breakfast, not to mention a kickass waterslide! Much better than the Valhalla Inn which is fairly run down nowadays.

The beds were really comfortable. The room was very clean, and even though it's not exactly a new place, it has been well maintained. The only odd experience for me was housekeeping; I was stuck in my room until 2pm one day as relatives who were coming to pick me up had car issues. So at around 2, housekeeping knocked to see if I wanted the room cleaned. I said that I would, but I was stuck having to wait in the room (explained the situation briefly). While one of the staff explained that I was their last room and that they were finishing up (and kindly gave me some towels), the other one rolled her eyes at me and turned in such a way that her entire body convulsed. She clearly wanted me to know that I had inconvenienced her big time. First, I understand if housekeeping has a schedule. If it's hotel policy that your room won't be cleaned unless you split by 11:00 am, fine. Let us know. Drop a note under the door. Whatever. The wrong way to go about it though is to have staff make paying guests feel like someone was waiting all morning outside their door just to clean the room. We were very happy with our room's and the restaurants staff were very friendly great service !!

I absolutely loved the beds in the room. Me and my small children never slept so good and hoping I can get the name of the brand so I can buy it for our family. Also, the service was very good, hotel is clean and in a good spot, easy to locate, and I would gladly book again there in the future.
