great location for walking the main street of Gatlinburg- older facility but well maintained- playground for the kids-breakfast not too good-best part was actually seeing a BEAR (small) in the parking lot

This was at Mars Hill Comfort Inn. I had phone back to confirm a smoking room, this was my honey moon and they stated we were not confirmed a smoking room from Hotel.com. We had originally ordered a Kings bed and change due to that not being a smoking room, Other wise the stay was adequate.

John at the desk was a gem. this hotel stay was so nice we stayed two extra days. they really made our stay pleasant. the hotel is also right next to everything. very satisfied

First room was nasty and still had trash on the floor. Front desk was very nice, but only moved us two doors down into a similar room. Hotel was not full and they must have had nicer rooms but were not willing to put our family in one.

We have stayed at the Twin Island in years past on our trips to Gatlinburg. This visit was one of the best. I am so glad that they are now serving breakfast it was very good and the room we had was exactly what we wanted. Very friendly staff.

When I booked this hotel I specifically booked a balcony smoking room. When I arrived they said they were sold out of those and put us in an undesired location. The room was non-smoking and there was no balcony. The property buildings could use some upgrading and maintenance. The breakfast buffet was good, location to downtown very good.

Great location walk to shops and restaurants.Comfortable.

We go to Gatlinburg often and have stayed in several of the hotels on the strip. This one was in the top 3 that we have stayed at in our book. We will certainly choose to stay here next time if it is a family trip. My 20 month old loved the playground and ducks. The breakfast the next morning was very good and is in fact a full breakfast. The heat did not work when we checked in, there was only two sheets on the bed,no comforter! The towels were dirty looking. And the bed was not comfortable. The only good thing was the T.V. was nice and location was good. I would not stay there again if it was free!!

The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The hotel was in easy walking distance of all major attractions and a variety of eating establishments. Will stay there again when I visit Gatlinburg next.

The room was clean, except one small spot on the back of the toilet that the maid missed. The people working in the office were very polite and helpfull. The room did not have enough covers on the bed, and there was no extra blanket in the closet. needs a little updating but all in all a good place to stay

The convience of the hotel was great. The beds in the room were aweful! We were going to stay another night there but after the first, we went to a different hotel.

Staff very courteous,helpful. Room clean, comfortable bed,microwave,small refridgerator,hair dryer, although visited in summer-also has fireplace. Loved the water stream outside room with mallard ducks. Easy, walking distance to attractions, shops, eateries/restaurants and trolley if wanted to ride instead of walk. Will stay here again.

for the price that I booked this room for..it didn't even come close to what I expected..It was a very nice hotel..close to downtown...great location!! It was nice,but I expected more for the price..It did have a fireplace..which was very nice...because it was cold!!! It was a nice hotel...

A nice motel if the rate is good.

Friendly service, very convient and confortable. We will stay there next time we go to mountains.

The Best Western Twin Islands is an older hotel, but for the money it is great; especially the location. The rooms were nice, service was good and we enjoyed our stay. We will stay again.

Great Hotel. Great location to walk into Gatlinburg without having to worry about parking. Will definately stay here again.

The play area was awesome! My kids loved playing on it. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and the shower was great!

This hotel was extremely nice. The service was outstanding. Everyone was so nice and they made our stay pleasurable. Very convienient to get places. loved not having to drive. had a decent size refridgerator and microwave. Overall, it was one of the best places i have ever stayed while in gatlinburg. I would definately stay again.

A good location for walking in Gatlinburg. Good surroundings. Great place if you are on a budget and have kids. They have a really good playground for kids 6 to 13 or thereabouts. This is not a five star hotel but for the price it is a incredible value.The rooms are a little dated but comfortable. Located a short walk to ALL attractions. A clean room with a balcony overlooking a stream. The staff is helpful and friendly. Far enough off the Parkway for privacy. I am going back next year to enjoy another week.

WORST HOTEL I'VE STAYED AT THE ROOM SMELLED AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY ROLLAWAY BEDS THE CLEANIEST PART OF THE ROOM WAS THE BATHROOM.

was so disappointed room smelt really bad and looked dirty. I really thought of bed bugs in the room but we had brought children with us and they had no other rooms available. Bed was hard, noisy and uncomfortable. It squeaked so was noisy throughout the night since each time one us changed postions, the bed squeaked. One of the posters of the poster bed was missing. Too much furniture in the small room made moving around a challenge. We had a king sized bed and there was a chair with an ottoman in the corner by the door […] leading to the balcony. The ottoman was so close to the bed that I tripped over it when we first went into the room and I went to open the door leading to the balcony overlooking the river. The sound of the river was wonderful and soothing but you couldn't leave the door open to listen to it because the balcony was a shared balcony so you wouldn't want to leave your door open. no its not the palace but for a mid grade hotel it was wonderful. my bed was so comfortable i wanted to bring it home, and the sound of the river flowing outside the door just made it even better. lou our housekeeper was so sweet and kept us in ciffee and towels thanks for a great stay we will be back

The empolyees seemed very nice. But it rained the whole time we were there - not the hotel's fault but no other comments.

Our room exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time on our 10th anniversary and will try to return for our 11th. This is the 4th time we've stayed at Best Western Twin Islands in the last 11 years.

Dont let the looks of this hotel fool you. Yes, it is a older hotel and the rooms do need alittle updating, but the place was great..friendly people..wonderful atmosphere..and if you are a lover of ducks, this is your place. The room that i stayed in was right on the creek. It had a walkdown to where you could go and feed the ducks. They where eating […] food out of my hands..at one point there must have been 50+ ducks. Our room had a balcony area that we were able to enjoy watching otters playing in the stream. Was a great location and very nice facility.
