Too expensive for a 3 1/2 stars hotels... overrated; overpriced. Staff are very nice and helpful. hotel is dated; rooms are big; stay away from the elevator rooms....

Hotel was conveniently located on the beach, but outrageously over charged for everything. My package included wireless internet in the room, but they tried to charge me for it upon checking in. As well, they held $500 American dollars (via my charge card) on my room to cover my use of the wet bar/incidentals. We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Be sure to ask for a renovated room!

Great hotel and you will pay for the comfort but that is expected with the rate of inflation in Brazil of late. A short distance to everything from shops and restaurants. Add in a slightly safer then other areas near by and it makes for a great trip

The best - location: right at Ipanema Beach; close to the local shops and restaurants. The swimming pool is very small like a tub. The worst thing: they really spy on guests, if you bring friends in - they check local people's ID, like Big Brother! Food is over priced at the hotel - but you can walk out and find local restaurants near by.

This hotel is perfectly located. The view is breath taking. The staff is welcoming. Still a little over priced. Just one issue: the cleanliness of the room is not the best: the comforter had a blood stain.

We had the finest suite -- worth the extra $$$ because we cannot imagine what the other rooms would have been like. The hotel had the best staff imaginable! (Aldo, you rock!) Although we were very satisfied with most aspects of the hotel, it is very expensive for what it offers. The pool on the roof is tiny and you have to walk thru the restaurant to get to it which is weird. The food was mediocre and the bar uninteresting and of course expensive. Hotel erstklassig, Lage sehr gut - schnell am Strand, an dem man sehr gut laufen kann, ausserdem in der Nähe vieler Restaurants/Bars, von Geschäften und nicht weit zu einer shopping mall. Touren etc. kann man vom Hotel aus direkt buchen (Zuckerhut, Corcovado etc) - EMPFEHLENSWERT

Bel Hotel très bien place...un des meilleures petits dejeuner que j'ai vu et une vue magnifique ! Les chambres sont un peu vieux jeu ! super vacance

nao fiquei satisfeita ,me cobraram o cafe da manha foi um absurdo,e os lençois sao bem ruins.

Excelente localização. Quarto antigo mas em razoável estado de conservação, exceto carpete (muito velho). Bom atendimento. Problema maior: péssimo isolamento acústico no quarto com visão para para o mar (muito barulhento).

The Gym as an astonishing view, it should be renewed though...most of the technical pieces are covered by rust.... Concierge staff are very helpful and professional. Forget the tours...too expensive, and not worthy, go yourself!!!!

excelente hotel funcionarios altamente atenciosos boas dependencias ainda mais que recebi um upgrade. nada tenho a reclamar. considero apenas ter preço elevado

Muito bom hotel. Peca apenas pela cama de molas antiga e muito desconfortável, o que não de admite num hotel 5 estrelas e com este preço.
