地下鉄2号線、10号線の南京東路駅の4番出口からは徒歩3分程度で着くため、非常に便利。また、人民広場駅にも歩いて10分掛かりません。宿泊客は中国人富裕層や欧米系が多く、日本人は少ない印象。そのためか、英語は通じますが、日本語が通じるスタッフには出会いませんでした。室内が非常に豪華な作りであり、清潔感も高く非常に満足しました。

二度目の宿泊（３泊）でした ホテルでの食事は取りませんでした 前回同様快適な宿泊でしたが、一つだけ問題があるとすれば昼間のシャワーはなかなか温かくなりませんでした（夜間は問題無し）使っている人が少ないからでしょう。

このホテルは　10号線と2号線が使え　又人民広場から徒歩でも苦にならない距離で　移動が楽。 終日歩行者天国の南京東路からすぐなので　夜歩いていても他より安全な気がする。 ホテルスタッフは感じが良いし　予約などもすぐしてくれる。プールやジム、サウナも利用価値がある。　

少しレートが悪いです。 日本円だと １元＝１２．５円 の日で１３．５円くらいになります。 （１０００元替えるのに１３５００円必要ということです） 近場のミスドの近くの平安銀行だと、１２．８円くらいでした。（１０００元替えるのに１２８００円必要ということです） しばらく滞在される方は平安銀行での両替をお薦めします。中国銀行でもこの周辺ではレートが悪い（繁華街のため）みたいです。他２、３の銀行を廻りましたが、ホテルと同じくらいか少し良いくらいでした。 向かいのソフティルの自動両替機、便利ですが、レートはこのホテルより０．１いいくらいです。 ホテル裏の道を浦東方面へ、一筋目南へ、左側４軒目（床屋さんのとなり）に上手な地元のマッサージやさんがあります。 足つぼマッサージは４５分３０元、全身 […] マッサージは１時間５８元と激安でとても上手ですよ。 私たちは毎日行っていました（ホテルは１時間３００元）。 ６歳の男の子（ほたか）連れの日本人に聞いたと言ってみてください。サービスしてくれると思います。 もっと読む

立地は抜群、値段の割にはホテルは超豪華で、設備もスタッフの対応も全く不満はありませんでした。はっきり言って中国は嫌いですが、このホテルならもう一度泊まっても良いと思います。

世紀広場、南京東路にほぼ隣接し、観光、食事、ショッピングに大変便利。ホテルの目の前にはコンビニもあり便利。アトリウム ビュー クイーン ルームに宿泊。これは各階数室が建物内側の吹き抜けに面して配置されている部屋で眺望は望めないが、外の騒音からは遮断され大変静かだった。設備全体は新しく動作不良等は無し。インターネットも無料接続可能（有線ＬＡＮ）。人的サービス全般は良好だが、ルームサービスで取った食事は値段に対しては不満なレベル。非常時除いては近隣の多くのレストラン（日本食も多い）に行った方がよい。

ここに３泊、その後仕事でブティックホテルに一週間泊まりましたが、そちらはあまりにもオシャレを意識し過ぎ、尖りすぎていて、一泊するには話のネタに面白いかもしれませんが一週間も泊まってるとはっきり言って疲れます。 その点こちらのホテルは全てが快適さを基準に、気持ちよく楽しく（装飾もやりすぎず適度に豪華）過ごすことが出来ました。 中国人のハウスキーピングの女性が廻って来て、何か不足はないか聞かれたので特にないがもし薄めの枕があれば、と言った所その晩用意されていた。 ベッドメーキングもいくら午後の遅い時間まで寝ていてもせかされることなく、ドアから好きな時間に、というメモが入っています。 両親にも同僚にも勧められる優秀なホテルです。 裏に美味しい点心のレストランがあるのも大きな＋。

It's really very nice all the staffs are very very helpful and friendly the place is very comfortable and very close to shopping area and restaurant also the place is very safe and near to the metro rail

One street over from the Najing street strip. Excellent room and fantastic location. My only complaint is that I booked a king bed "view" room and they wanted to give me a dble bed "no-view" room. This hotel is wonderful! It is a genuine 5 star hotel. We were staying for 6 nights and on arrival received a free upgrade to a kingsize room. The room was big and impressively furnished. The bed was so comfortable and all staff very polite and helpful. Has a lovely indoor pool and gym. Wifi in room. good location, the rooms is very nice, but the prices of the resturant are similer to the most expensive places at Paris or New york. the room service not good and they try to manipulate on evry order.

Excellent location 1/2 block from Nanjing Rd. The hotel is elegant and worth the reasonable price. When you check in they'll ask you if you'd like to include breakfast for an extra 600RMB (about $100USD). Don't go for it - you can buy b'fast for 2 for $60USD at the lobby buffet but I recommend the Sofitel buffet across the street at the same price. […] It's much better if you want a western style b'fast. Of course there are far less expensive options for Chinese breakfasts everywhere. But the hotel is highly recommended. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the internet is free. I chose this hotel based on glowing reports from other reviews. They were well substantiated. The interior has an old world type feel yet grand. As an unaccompanied male tourist I was immediately set upon by touts every few metres trying to foist escorts or watches on me. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Most amenities were free especially wifi. If you want to avail of the wifi, you just have to pay RMB200 to rent the unit to make it wifi capable then money will be refunded once you return the TP link to them. It is accessible to the metro. Very good location - shopping and metro is just behind the corner. Big, clean rooms and very friendly, nice staff. Gym was also nice and clean if you want to do some training while traveling. Breakfast buffet is super! Definately will go again if going back to Shanghai.

Very spacious hotel room w quality amenities; good gymn and sauna facility; friendly and efficient staff; excellent location.

This hotel is in an exceptional location right off of the Nanjing Road pedestrial walkway and minutes walking distance from the Bund. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are large and the cleaning service is exception (2 times per day). The only complaint I have about this hotel and why I don't think it is quite a western 5-star is the concierge service […] is not good enough. My wife could not understand their Mandarin and I could not understand their English well. They are not set up to provide good enough information to travelers. Thus, if you are expecting to learn about Shanghai when you get there and not do any pre-research you will be disappointed. Eventually I figured everything out on my own but was disappointed in the Hotel in this regard. Also the business centre is VERY expensive to use. Great location. Shops, metro all within 1-2 block radius. No need to get breakfast meal plan as there were plenty places to eat breakfast for much less. I stood in front of him for 5 minutes as if I didn't exist before he asked if I needed assistance. They don't smile or have any appreciation for their work or their guests. It's quite not comfortable to stay in this hotel because of too dry and no air Con for us to adjust the temperature inside the room but heater only.

Stay for 5 nites and really enjoy those stays as hotel is given to u a standard of elegant, comfort, convenience and good service... The lobby is said to be decorated as a Grand Hall feel just like my stay in one of the Duabai's hotel. At 4.5 stars, I expected a nice hotel, This hotel rates 5 stars for me. The room was clearly better than the so called 5 star room in Hong Kong that was a lot more expensive.

Great value for the service and location, only a block away from the busy mall. Taxi is available at the door step.

We stayed two nights at the Grand Central Hotel Shanghai and I could not express how impressed we were with this hotel and it's staff. The hotel is very nicely located near the Bund and upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly staff at the front doors. It is truly a beautifu and very clean hotel. I was a bit concerned about not being given a room […] with a King bed, but upon arrival, but this turned out to be a non-issue. The room was superb and very beautiful with a lovely view of the courtyard below. I did have a minor issue with an electrical outlet when I plugged in my adaptor. The power went out in our room, but this was my fault and not the hotel. A maintentance staff person was in our room in just minutes and reset the breaker and even showed me how to use the correct adaptor. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and the price is very wonderful given the 4-5 star rating of the hotel. もっと読む

Nice hotel, but the internet is so slow you can't work.

The Grand Central Hotel in Shanghai lies adjacent to the renowned Nanjing road with all the shopping you can dream of. Spacious and clean rooms with a highly trained and service minded staff.

Had an extremely satisfying stay at the Grand Central - the pics online don't do it justice. It was a nice relaxing escape after a busy day in the city. Excellent location with lots to do nearby. Room service was delicious!

I was a little leary booking this hotel at first due to the fact it was was not one of the bigger chains. However, I did read some of the reviews and decided to take a chance. the lobby staff is not pleasant and they are very often confused with credit cards, payments, receipts etc ... BUT VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY

Arrived early and room was unfortunately not ready - but that is to be expected. Would recommend this luxury hotel to anybody, mostly because of a very good relationship between price, comfort and service.

Great stay at the Grand Central - staff was friendly, the room was well-appointed with many extra touches (e.g. Hershey's kisses with turn down service), well-equipped gym and fantastic location within 2 minutes' walk of metro and Nanjing pedestrian road. Overall, excellent value for money - I would choose to stay there again

absolutely amazing, couldn't have asked for more, 30 sec walk to subway, in center of Nanjing Rd shopping area, hotel was immaculate

Excellent rooms with two double beds. Definitely works for pleasure or business. Outstanding rooms and location to the Bund.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Shanghai! The lobby and common areas are beautiful. The rooms were very clean, beds exceedingly comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. I stayed at the Grand Central in Shanghai for 9 days so i had quite a bit of time to think about my experience. I went for a wedding and many guests were either at the Grand Central, Hyatt on the Bund or Peninsula. The GC is honestly a very nice 5 star hotel. Good neighborhood, right near the pedestrian street of nanjing lu. literally across from it. Beware though, because that very proximity to Nanjing Lu makes it very difficult to find a taxi in the evening. Service is top notch but the food and drink are pricey but that is to be expected. Beds are very clean and comfortable and the gym and pool are also spa quality. Staying at a good hotel is all the more relevant in Shanghai because as a foreigner you'll probably need a safe haven at night to escape the mayhem of 24 million people and extreme heat. もっと読む
