Didn't get off to good start because since booking hotel name had been changed without notification and therefore I wasted much time searching for a non existent hotel before going into this one as it appeared to be the same address! Staff disinterested, room was cold and whilst reasonably well equipped this seemed to be by reference to a check list […] rather than for actual use eg kettle but no where to plug in except on floor using a lighting socket. "The gardens make it better"
For the price, it is somewhat disappointing. Internet charges are ridiculous & send a very negative message of gouging. Why is it in other locations Mercure offers free Internet as one of their benefits to business travellers? Overall the stay was pleasant. We were surprised that wifi connection and pay TV were not automatically part of the facilities. "Overpriced , website misleading."
