5階ゴールドメンバー用の受付、ラウンジは快適でした。朝食、夕食前のおつまみと酒類（有料）でゆっくりとくつろげました。部屋は洗面所、風呂等とても狭くクロセットも狭くて使い物にならなかった。（レイクルイーズがあまりにもこの点が快適だったので差がありすぎた）、室料金は殆ど同額、 ただ日本語の放送NHKが見られたのは旅の後半だったのでよかった。ホテルが大きすぎて迷子になりそう、お店はあまりよくない。

お城のような素敵な建物もさることながら、環境の素晴らしさに圧倒されました。庭をめぐっても見渡す限りのロッキーの山々、ボー滝までの散歩道に現れた大鹿、ちょっと怖かったけど。 ５階には専用のラウンジがあって、いつでもちょっとお茶ができてよかったです。

渓谷側を指定したこともありましたが、本館9階の部屋で素晴らしい眺望でした。 古いホテルなので部屋の大きさは狭く、窓も小さいですが、日中は観光で出かけてしまうので全く問題ありませんでした。 ホテル全体が重厚な雰囲気で、とても気に入りました。 フロント、レストランのスタッフも感じが良く、サービスは行き届いていました。 また部屋のTVで日本語放送を見ることができたので、75歳の母は喜んでいました。

ダウンタウンからは遠いですが バスですぐです

思い出すだけでも気分が悪くなりますが、感情を交えず起こった事のみを書きます。 ２０１０年８月７日チェックイン、８日チェックアウト。 予約内容はクイーンベッド２台、新館、マウンテンﾋﾞｭｰでした。 部屋に入って見るとダブルサイズの簡易ベッドが１台とソファー（簡易ベッドになります）が１台、窓の外は駐車場で車に乗り込む人とバッチリ目が合いました。体を捻って上を覗き込むと山がかすかに見えました。しかし、部屋の広さは２０畳ほどで小さな丸テーブルと椅子が２脚、TVユニットで殺風景でした。 簡易ベッドがなんとなく変で、良く見るとベッドの脚が１本壊れて少し傾いていました。 すぐに、マネージャーを呼び部屋またはベッドの交換を要求しましたが、すべて却下、そしてマネージャー女子 曰く、 ＜フェアモントのクイ […] ーンサイズ２台とは全てこの組み合わせです。（ダブルサイズの簡易ベッドとソファーベッド）＞ と言い切りました。そして、べッドを修理する事に成りました。しかし、メンテナンスの人が何回も出入りしましたが、 深夜１１時頃折れたベッドの脚に紙を何重にも折った物を挟んで修理完了と言われました。 マネージャーからのお詫びで、夕食と朝食をホテル持ちにしますとのことで、夕食をルームサービス(交渉で手間取りレストランは閉店の為）、朝食はブッフェレストランですませ、チェックアウト。 チェックアウト担当者曰く、＜夕食は当社で負担致しますが朝食はカードにチャージ致します。＞ 最後の最後まで、この様な対応でした。 もっと読む

Had to wash out the bathtub before using. Went to the pub for dinner but left because the table was so dirty and no-one came promptly to clean. Gorgeous scenery and lovely setting but disappointed in general. Room very small and hot even though window opened and heating turned down.

It is very good except the room is on the second floor and you can hear verything that is going down below i.e. party music and crowd.

Amazing stay at this hotel...excellent service and hospitality!! Only complaint is the scent that their cleaning supplies (lavendar?) left in the room was not compatible with anyone who is even slightly scent sensitive.....it was a good thing that the windows opened to reduce the scent in the room.

We stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel over the Easter long weekend and very much enjoyed our stay. I have been to Banff several times over the years but this is the first time staying at this hotel (or 'castle' as they prefer to be known). The Banff Springs certainly lives up to all expectations of quality and service of a hotel of this stature including […] the remarkable architecture and history. The hotel is incredibly large and sometimes easy to get misdirected but eventually you will find your way around. The grandure of the hotel is amazing and the views of the mountains from all sides is breathtaking. Anyone visiting today will have the same sense of awe as those who stayed in the hotel a hundred years ago. Although the hotel is on the expensive side, it is certainly worth the money if you can afford it. We got an incredible deal through hotels.com though and came out to be less expensive than some of the other hotels in Banff. If your budget allows, you have to treat yourself to this type of luxury at least once. The hotel is owned by the Fairmount resort chain and therefore expect to be treated well. The character of the hotel is amazing with stone and marble throughout and lots of large windows on the main levels to take in the mountain views. Several old pictures adourn the hotel and an abundance of tables, chairs, lighting, and other fixtures that take you back to days gone by. There are still of course the modern amenities as well as shops in the hotel. We really enjoyed the Rundle Lounge and sitting back in large comfortable chairs having a drink and listening to music in the evening. What a way to end a day of hiking. Although we had one of the smaller rooms, it was still large enough for the two of us with a queen sized bed, chairs, table and dresser. A fantastic location, a gorgeous historic building, within close proximity to many spectacular scenes. Had a wonderful time and have nothing to complain about - at all! Fabulous - will be back!

room was average size ,but seemed small with a king -sized bed in it ; very costly for the average couple.young or older; method of billing -I would prefer to pay for the room & services when checking out . Perhaps,it would be more favorable in the summertime, when one could walk,etc.

I found that although the hotel was nice and the staff helpfull and pleasant, it was a little bit overpriced, especially when extra costs are added such as parking. The rooms were small for the price paid.

Was so amazing. We stayed here for our "Valentines Celebration" the friday of the long weekend. It was all it is cracked up to be. The bedding is so soft and comfy, the two of us were lights out as soon as our heads hit the pillows!

Me and my wife stayed for valentine's day. We where very impress with how nice everybady from the hotel staff was. We upgrade to the gold level(strongly recommend) and got a bottle of champagne in our room the view from our windows was a million dollars view. There's so many things to do in the hotel that one night is not enough to enjoy all of this […] castle has to offer. The outdoor pool and indoor jacuzzi are really nice and clean. Service was outstanding. I cannot say enough about our fantastci weekend at one of the world's greatest mountain resorts. Truly memorable. Fantastic restaurants and ambiance.

Banff Springs Hotel was a very nice place to stay we had the view of the mountain and it was very beautiful. The staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful.

Very historic and upscale; however, noisy in the evening. Difficult to get a sound sleep. We traveled with another couple and they were on a different floor and they said the same. We could hear people in the hallway at all hours of the night. Perhaps it is because it is an older hotel. Also, we both got stuck in the elevator at separate times Yikes! […] We both pressed all the buttons but no movement. Pressed the last floor that the elevator opened up on and ran out. We had a fantastic stay in the "castle". It was truly amazing.

Hotel was excellant. Extremely close to everything.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was terrific on every level, but I thought that they lacked a little in the housekeeping department. We noticed that in the eating areas, the cutlery, dishes weren't that clean, tables were sticky, windows were really dirty, and there was a lot of dust on the light fixtures. Our room was the same, clean bedding of course […] but dust and dirt that looked like it had been there for months on surfaces and fixtures. If it were any other hotel I probably wouldn't bother with review but it is not a cheap stay and I think that that should be reflected in the overall maintenance, cleanliness. I also have been there over the decades throughout the different ownerships. I hope the Fairmont group isn't letting one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, not to mention one of Canada's national treasures slip into a lower standard of hospitality. もっと読む

We had to wait for 2 hours after arrival (to 6:p.m.) before getting into our room, due to the ``higher than expected crowds`` for New Years.

Not at all impressed with our room. For the high price I paid the room was very tiny. I requested a king bed and only got a queen. I would definitely not bother staying at this hotel again

I dropped 2 pts on the comfort to 3, because room 602 needs a new bed. I forgot to mention it when I checked out. It is old and worn.

Beautiful views of the mountains, falls, golf course, etc. the histort of the building is very interesting. On the negative side, I would recommend self park because valet was very busy and the wait was 30 to 45 mins. I am not a big fan of having to pay for wireless internet ($15/day).

You expect a lot when you stay in a Fairmont hotel. The service is usually first class and the staff are a credit to the company. The Fairmont Banff lived up to this expectation in every respect except one: The hotel boasts 7 restaurants and our heart was set on the Bow Valley Grill. But apparantly, many of the restaurants are closed several nights […] of the week. We had to settle for a dinner in the Waldhaus at 2100 hrs, not exactly what we had planned. Our checkin luggage was not delivered to the room. I had to go to the front desk after approx. 30 mins. to request its whereabout. It was sitting in a room behind the front desk. The mattress in our room was concave and very uncomfortable. The room was extremely bland. Thanks

Well, what can I say? My only disappointment is that I was only able to spend one night in this hotel. I have been to Banff before & always said I would stay here if I ever returned. Service from all staff was impeccable, rooms were spacious & beds were luxurious. We ate at a very small restaurant on site (don't know the name but it only sat approximately […] 12 people) & it was one of the best meals we had eaten since arriving in Canada. 18.11.2011 The last stay was ...not a dream; during a change of the rooms the bell man lost my cashmere took so in -28C I was in side all the time, not to say the reception till today did not call regarding my took . The next day of our stay during the pool visit my rope with a room key was stolen... or just vanished ,and I was forced to visit reception […] desk again just to hear that is o.k.... The add for this hotel fails to mention that you must pay $25 to self park your car, or $35 for valet parking. The room was very small, bathroom very small, and no refigerator was in the room as advertised. There also was no jetted tub or balcony with this room.

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived one day earlier than planned and with the help of Rock the manager on duty we were able to change our reservations. historical landmark but hotel service is not kept at a level one would expect for a fairmont hotel. dark ambiance throughout. i prefer the newer fairmont hotels. service really needs to be kept up. someone in the hotel is not doing their job for sure.

It was great place in Banff and very suitable for family vacation.

Room very small. Saggy mattress, very uncomfortable. Landmark property, great location. Good for a one time experience.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and courteous. the whole experience of seeing the hotel and grounds was amazing. What a sight!
