Everything was nice until we slept in the bed. Bed was very uncomfortable due to hard, too firm mattress.

Lovely hotel, clean, and convenient. The hotel was very noisy, however, from slamming doors to housekeeping knocking doors into walls and making commotion and extremely rowdy guests down the hall...

I did not like the services of the person who greatest me when we just entered the hotel. She spoke very fast and when I asked her to repeat she refused to do so. We had to pay $45 extra just for parking. Other hotels in the same area offer more than this one does

Great hotel. Great location. Actually exceeded expectations

This hotel is close to government business offices. The rooms are comfortable; the staff is friendly. We got great rates through our travel website, otherwise it is a little expensive.

Nice hotel in an excellent neighborhood. The staff was attentive and friendly. Public transportation easy access with Metro fairly close and the circulator busses just outside for quick service to all major attractions for a dollar per ride. Valet parking was TERRIBLE!!!!. Unprofessional and unorganized valet parking staff. Waited for over 1 hour after giving the valet manager the ticket and still did not get the car. Had to go myself in the garage to find the car while my wife and family waited. After finding the car location in the garage, found that the key was not at the spot on the […] valet key board. This hotel is in a great location, comfortable place to stay and enjoy guests for diinner or breakfast.. The concierge is someone I have known for 15 plus years and have seen her in probably 6 years and she knew me. That is quality service!

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The Hotel is close to the Metro line thus very easy to get back and forth. The food from the restaurant was delicious especially the corn and maryland crab chowder.

I stayed at this hotel during the wait for hurricane Irene. I had prepaid my room for two nights and understood that this was a non-refundable rate. I was lucky enough to avoid the hurricane by leaving a day early and asked the hotel if they would consider refunding my money for the second night. They did so cheerfully! The staff of this hotel was so accommodating. We arrived in DC VERY early in the morning, and they were able to let us check in at 7 a.m.! They helped us when we had to leave the hotel early due to an approaching hurricane with directions on how to leave the city. The rooms were perfect for two people and location was great. The Renaissance was a very convenient and enjoyable hotel for my weekend stay to help my daughter move from DC to graduate school in the New York area. It was conveniently located to many of the main DC down-town attractions and my daughters apartment. Good location, comfy bed, make sure you get a king size bed, the room is bigger that way! Close to all the sights and you must go to eat at Luigi's a couple blocks from the hotel, the food and bread is delicious!

Overall, this hotel was OK. For the price, it seemed nice, but looks can be deceiving. Frankly, I expected a lot more then what I received in terms of customer service and amenities. Our […] room didn't have a mini-fridge, which is very inconvenience when you want to keep your beverages cool on a hot summer day. But that's their way to sell bottled water at twice the price at their bar in the lobby. They didn't have an exhaust fan at all in the bathroom and as a result you could clearly see black mold forming on the white shower caulk. Hot showers quickly cause a thick fog that fills the entire bathroom and eventually bedroom in no time. Room service is a disservice. All of this could have been easily forgotten had we not ordered room service. I don't normally have the patience to review anything, but this final ending low-note was the straw that broke the camels back. Since we had to catch the plane early in the morning, we thought we'd save time and money by buying room service breakfast. DO NOT DO THIS, that was a bad idea. It was WAY over-priced and the food was lousy. The bacon was almost pure fat, the eggs were undercooked, the server who brought it to us brought coffee with no mugs to drink it in, and then demanded an immediate cash payment. We did not have the cash on us so we asked if we could charge it to the room. He scoffed at us and said he'd get back to us and left the breakfast tray to "talk to his manager". Keep in mind, this is after we prepaid for a 2 night stay... we trusted them by prepaying, shouldn't trust go both ways when they already had our credit card on file? Instead, the server returned in the midst of us eating our breakfast and insisted that my wife immediately stopped eating, and asked her to go downstairs with the credit card to sign the dotted line before we ate もっと読む

hotel has no: pool, hot tub, guest laundry, only "free" wifi is in the lobby- in room is $13/day. not even free coffee unless you make it yourself in the room. no free parking, $35/day valet only. no continental breakfast. hotel restaurant wants almost twenty bucks for a small buffet. I didn't realize that there was WiFi on the first floor. It would have made the experience a lot better. The room was a little small for 3 people but it wasn't that bad. Everything was close and the staff was helpful. I would stay here again if I didn't bring my daughter because she wanted a pool. The hotel overall was a 99 out of 100
