I enjoyed our stay. I do not like the pillows on the bed that most hotels are using. They are great for sitting and watching TV but they are very uncomfortable for sleeping. The rooms open to the outside. Pictures on website dont give a real view of what the hotel is. Staff was rude. Maids were smoking while cleaning rooms. Will not stay again!

The facilities just need an update. Tired and stained everything. The pool area scared me the most! It's the 1970's all over again.

This hotel was a great value.

Hotel is shabby in appearance and housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning the room by leaving the used towels in the room instead of removing them, and the floor in the bathroom was sticky. The enviromental control unit in the room was extrememly noisy, but worked well as far as keeping the room at temperature. The alarm clock radio in the room did […] not work. The swimming pool was okay, but jacuzzi was at best lukewarm. The pool is only accessible by going outside and this is not something that can be realized when booking the room. Some better pation furniture, for instantance some lounge chairs instead of just a couple of old battered looking chairs would go a long ways in improving the area. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and I found no problem with it. The location of the hotel is dark and not well lighted, so visibility when trying to return to the hotel at night is poor. On the good side, the water for the shower was hot and plentiful, and the television was a very nice flat screen that swiveled to face any direction I needed. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well. There are a few choices in regards to eating establishments within walking distance and then your choices are limited. This hotel is reasonably priced, but is best suited to overnight lodging for long haul drivers. I do a lot of traveling and this is the first time, I couldn't check in early. I will never stay at another Clarion.

the room smelled like cat pee. we had to open the door and run ac. i left my phone charger in room and went back the next day. after waiting 15 min with front desk lady i went to house keeping my self. they said they didnt find it.

It is a little difficult to get to and they need a bigger sign The hote; staff were very welcoming and professional. The room was not immaculate but good The surrounding neighborhood is not real plesant, a lot of trucks and noise. I slept well and the pool/hot tub were great and I ordred from the restaurant on site and the food was yummy.

Pros: close to 95, pet friendly, we liked the on-site night club with live band (although it was WAY too smoky). Cons: in-room air conditioning was noisy, breakfast buffet had no healthy choices and coffee was terrible.

From the looks of the hotel, it was fairly dated and we didnt expect the door entrance to the rooms to be outside. The furniture in the room was dirty with stains but that has alot to do with the hotel not replacing these items and not lack of cleaning. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable, with a true 'hotel' decor and feeling. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I liked the room except the curtains and the carpet had stains that wrer not pleaseing.

Better then aspected. Pool and hot tub was great. Room was clean and comfortable. The only negative was the complimentary breakfast that needed some variety and a better mix of items.

Not even close to being 3 stars. This type of motel should not be eligible for a 3 star rating.

Our hotel room had new furniture and it was very clean.

We tried to check in an hour early because we had been driving for 17 hours. The front desk person said we could but we would have to pay for an extra day. I thought that was a little excessive since it was only an hour. We took a nap in our car and waited for check-in time. Other than that, the rooms were very nice.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was located on a busy highway but was set back from the road. Very adequate for our one night stay. My only complaint is that the complimentary breakfast was lacking in good healthy choices of food. Room was excellent, however, carpet had some stains.

room was great and more than i expected. the ladie at the desk was not friendly at all.

The outside air temperature during the day was 95 degrees. At around 1:00 a.m., the room air conditioner stopped working. The room contained two full size beds, queen size beds would have been a better value for the money. The grounds and indoor/outdoor pool where very nice. The Hot Breakfast was well worth the value. We stayed at the Clarion because the Country Inn and Suites was not pet friendly. We were very pleasantly surprised with the large room and wonderful pools ( indoor and outside) Our pet was able to watch us at the pool from the window. So she was very quiet and content. We had a nice couch and chair plus Wifi service. Best of all was the bed and pillows. […] I wanted to know where to get the feather pillow, really soft and soothing. No elevators; carpet in room was not clean; dated decor

Good bits - clean comfortable room and bed So so bits - restaurants in area pretty poor (unless you like Arbys type stuff) Bad bits - some of the public areas stank of cigarette smoke and the bar was smoking. We had 3 rooms, checked in and got keys but 2 of them had the doors open and beds up made ... this was after 4PM with a 3PM check in that was weird. The rooms were clean. Hotel was not the best Clarion we have stayed at. The room we were given was on a corner of two outdoor hallways. We had all sorts of people traffic going by our room. Many guests with kids letting them run wild and make noise. We were rudely woken up by one such child at 7 am the next morning.

We were on our way home from Florida and very tired. After having dinner at your resturant,the waitress was confused and busy. She dropped my fried chicken on the table and I refused to eat it. She did replace it. She was busy and we asked if we could put the meal on our room account.She said yes.At 10PM when were in bed,she came pounding on our door […] with the bill. This hotel also has a night club attached to it. So we were kept awake by people right outside our room up until 0147 AM. There were chairs and a table right out side the room and the inconsiderate drunk people from the club found it a nice place to hold a raucus party. Hotel should be rated between 2 & 2 1/2 stars.- Old rooms in need of renovation. Room was accessible by the general public-security issues. Breakfast was inedible.

I have stayed at many hotels in Fredricksburg before but not at this particular exit. It was hard to find the hotel because it had just changed ownership from Holiday inn to Clarion and didn't have proper signage outside. I passed it 3 times!!
