今回の旅行の8泊のうち、3泊をこちらで過ごさせてもらいました。もう一つのホテルがワイキキど真ん中だった為、レビューを見て静かでダイヤモンドヘッド近くのこちらに決めました。 レンタカーで行ったので不便さは全く感じませんでした。夜はとても静かで、朝日の昇るダイヤモンドヘッドはとても素晴らしかったです。従業員の方達もとても親切でした。朝ロビーでコーヒーサービスがあるので、コーヒーを持ってすぐ近くのカイマナビーチでのんびり過ごしたり、目の前のカピオラニパークを散歩したりとても気持ち良く過ごせました。ZOOも歩いて行けるので、子連れの方にも良いです。また、ビーチクルーザーも無料レンタルできるので、モンサラットにあるお店などにもすぐ行けます。ビーチチェアや子供の砂遊びセットも貸してくれました。 バリ風の […] お部屋もとても快適で、のんびりと滞在出来ました。私はまたこちらを利用したいと思います。 のんびりと過ごしたい方にお勧めします。 もっと読む

ホテルとしては、部屋は綺麗。清掃はされているという意味で。まぁ、古い。それなりに広かった。しかし、ダイヤモンドヘッドビューにしたけど全然見えず。DVDもついてたけど、コード接続されてないし、日本製のものは見れないとの事で役立たず。ホテルの人は親切で色々と接続を頑張ってくれた。でも、日本語通じず。一番最悪だったのは、部屋の壁がとってもとっても薄く、隣の部屋の声がまる聞こえだったこと。うるさくて眠れない。色んな声が聞こえてきて本当に最悪だった。もう、絶対に泊まらない。場所は繁華街からかなり歩き遠かったけど、それほど苦ではなかった。トロリーもバスものらずに歩いて行動したが、免税店とか歩いていけるので良かったように思う。でも、壁が薄すぎ。本当に安眠はできないホテル。酷評はつけたくないけど（ホテルの人 […] は親切だった）、本当に最悪だった。 もっと読む

部屋はバスタブが無いシャワーのみであること、（宿泊した時点では）日本語を話す従業員がいなかったこと、ワイキキまで歩けるものの、夜はタクシーの方がよい距離（水族館より奥）にあることが注意点です。ただし、ワイキキの喧噪から離れているため、朝、夜は大変静かに過ごせます。特に朝方のダイヤモンドヘッドの眺めは格別でした。レストランが工事中でしたが、朝食は隣のニューオータニ・カイマナホテルのレストランを使ったり、散歩がてら食べに出たり、と過ごしました。ワイキキに何度も来ていて、のんびり過ごしたい方にお勧めできます。バリ風の部屋も快適でした。

ホノルルの中心部からは離れた立地。HISで航空券チケット手配をしたので空港からホノルル市内へのシャトルバス便が無料でつきましたが、このホテルは対象外でした。一番近いホテルから歩いて５〜７分ほどスーツケースをひっぱって歩く必要がありました。買い物をして途中でホテルに寄って休憩する、というような動き方をしたい場合はあまり都合がよいホテルとはいえません。 ですが、夜になるとまわりは静かで、部屋からはとてもきれいな朝日を眺めることができました。ホテルのスタッフはとても親切です。最初に４階の部屋を手配されましたが、１０階も空いているとのことだったので、快く部屋変更をしてもらえました。朝日が見たいのでモーニングコールもしてもらいましたが、ベランダからダイヤモンドヘッドと海とが両方とも間近に見ることができ […] 、とてもよかったです。４階は海側が駐車場に遮られて見ることができません。上層階ではないと、あまり景色はよくないかもしれません。 部屋は清潔感があります。バスタブはなく、シャワーのみ。スリッパや歯ブラシなどのアメニティはありませんでした。ダブルベッドの部屋にシングルで宿泊しましたが、快適でした。テレビも見ることができました。 食堂は利用していません。となりがエッグベネディクトで有名なホテルなので、散歩がてら食べに行くのはおすすめです。 もっと読む

ゆっくりと過ごしたくて選んだホテルでした。 人も車も少なく、とてもゆっくりと過ごせました。 ダイヤモンドヘッドが目の前に広がるバルコニーでは、朝食を買ってきて鳥の声を聞きながら堪能できました。 散歩をしながらワイキキビーチにも出れるため不便さも感じませんでした。 フロントの方もお勧めレストランを教えてくれるなど親切に対応していただけました。 ドライヤーが小さいため持っていくほうがよいかもしれません。その他の設備などは問題ありませんでした。 お勧めできるホテルです。

ワイキキから離れていて、しずかな環境という事で 以前のW HOTELの時から４度は利用をしていますが Wの時より、簡素で、スタッフも少なく、さみしい感じはしますが、スタッフがアットホームで楽ですね。 経費節約の為の省略アイテムが少しだけ気になりますが これはしかたがないですね。バスタブがありませんでした。バスルームは広いのに。それが唯一残念。 泊まる際は、お部屋によって異なるみたいなので、バスタブがあるかないかを確認した方がいいかと思います。ラナイからの景色は、ダイヤモンドヘッドと海とカピオラニ公園が見えるのでなかなかの景色です。エレベーターあ１台しか動いていませんでした。

ホテルの立地はダイヤモンドに近く、隣にニューオータニがあるがレストランはかなり寂れていて近くで食事や買物をすることは期待できない。 しかし、目の前が大きな公園であることもあり地元の人等がマラソンをしたり散歩をしたりくつろいでいる姿が多く見られ、"地元"の生活を感じられた。また夜は静かであった。 交通の便を考えなければ環境は良いと思う。 部屋の設備に足りないものがあったりと最初はいまいちかと思ったが、従業員はみな親切でアットホームな雰囲気。 不便さを除けば、良いホテル。買物やワイキキ周辺観光以外の目的で行くのであればお勧めです。

We found the Aqua Lotus to be great value for money. Contemporary feel, clean, and attentive staff. The best part for us, however, was the location. It is on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki right next to the park and most importantly away from the hustle, bustle and noise of the strip. The front desk service to valet were extremely helpful and friendly. Free wine in the evenings, free bike rental, soft beds, awesome pillows, great view of Diamond Head AND ocean for a great value. DEFINITELY would stay here again!

All rooms face east, towards Diamond Head, so don't worry too much about getting a good view -- unless you end up on one of the lower floors near the parking lot. My room was very 'Zen' -- platform bed, nice wood furniture, and beige bath tile. There was a shower (no tub), so be sure to ask if that's important to you. Large, comfortable room close to beach with great view of Diamondhead. TV is old--not flat screen/HD, but we weren't in our room enough for that to be a big concern. Only criticism is dining room is closed, & only close by dining was super-expensive. Personnel very friendly & accommodating.

Room too small. No chair to relax in. No continental breakfast, No restaurant in the hotel.

It's a little walk into Waikiki, although there's a nice beach very close to the hotel. It's fairly quiet around this area. We saw very few staff at the hotel, although it appeared to be well run. Actually, we saw very few people full stop there! Only 55 rooms and several recent owners. Tired and bathrooms are dated but comfortable, quiet, and good location out of the downtown noise. Well worth it to get the deluxe ocean view room with Diamond Head view. Ocean views are between buildings or distance. Not beachfront but one layer back. Terrific view of Diamond Head in morning. This was my first-ever visit to Hawaii and I travelled solo, so I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best place for me to stay. I did not want to be in the midst of tourist-central Waikiki but I also did not want to be somewhere isolated and alone. This hotel was PERFECT for me. The Hotel is well located, east of the main shopping area at Waikiki right by the beach. There are surfing breaks along the coast in each direction about ½ mile each way,; maybe a little more. It is a comfortable walk to shopping or restaurants. The hotel next door has the best breakfast restaurant in the area not cheap but excellent food and coffee. […] The Diamond Head views are great; the ocean views would be a misnomer because there are two condos that have a view of the ocean in front of you. The service within the hotel from the valet is excellent. Valet costs money and is required. The hotel is on a one way street so it is difficult to navigate to the first time. The parks next door fill up with homeless and campers camping in the park by the beach. I never felt at risk and was comfortable walking to and from the shopping restaurant and bar areas. The lobby is odd. This is a great place if you want a good sleep, and don’t want to spend all your time in the hotel. Also it is essential to have car if you plan visiting this hotel. The Lotus is ideal for our needs - well located, quiet, clean and convenient, with courteous and efficient staff and a reasonable price. The beaches here are nicer and less crowded, and the restaurant next door is better than any others we have tried. The Lotus is a very clean hotel close to Wikiki Beach. The hotel is very secure and comfortable.

This lovely hotel allowed us to be ourselves away from Waikiki Beach, which is extremely crowded. Sans Souci Beach is just around the corner, and is much less crowded. If you want to see more than the beach and shopping --> rent a car and explore! Especially the North Shore was amazing. We <3 Oahu!

We stayed for one week and it was the best location for us. Clean room, great staff!!!! We will be back :)

It was nice to stay at the peaceful end of the island and be within walking distance to the Waikiki "action". We didn't realize that the hotel sits back behind another hotel on the beachside and we weren't too thrilled that there wasn't a pool (which I missed when booking it). We stayed in the Lotus at Diamond Head hotel for 4 nights. This is a small, older hotel very tastefully redecorated. Location is fantastic basically in the quiet park area yet walking distance to Waikiki, Diamond Head and 3 minutes from the beach. This hotel was not worth the price to stay here. I had the choice to stay at a Hilton or this hotel for the same price. The Hilton is in walking distance to shops and restaurants. This is a great hotel to stay at if you are trying to get away from the hubbub of the city. The way the hotel is laid out looks like all rooms have great views. There is a restaurant in the hotel next to this one but it is fine dining and very very expensive. This hotel is right on the beech. The room that we had was very nice and clean. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is the hotel for you. If you are a city person and like the noise of the city, to be close to dining and shopping then this is not the place for you. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the main Waikiki flesh pots. The walk is along the beach on a comfortable beach walk, along a big park. Great older hotel with nice upkeep. Staff was very helpful and professional. Nice beach/park location off beaten path.

No doubt its good value and for last minute stays you can do even better than i did. The staff go out of their way to help and advise you in every aspect. The rooms are large and the corner room i had was very well decorated. It was much quieter than Waikiki Beach where I stayed previously. The bathroom is large too. I was on level 4 which was too low […] for a really good view of Diamond Head. I suggest that you go for level 6 or above. The single lift is slow and small. The hotel is not on the beach you will be directed to the New Otani Kaimana for meals. The Otani has a superb restaurant under ancient Hibiscus trees, but its pricey. You are in walking distance to the main beachfront so that is not an issue and the trolley buses pass by across the park. These trolleys take you on a tourist loop up to Diamond Crater and back to Waikiki Beach. For access to the airport from the Lotus i took a cab and it was quicker than from Waikiki Beach as they could by-pass the city. The roads in Honolulu get very slow at some times of the day so allow extra time to be there for your flight. もっと読む

THE VIEWS WERE AWESOME...A LOT OF WALKING TO GET THERE...IT IS UNDER DIAMOND HEAD...

The room was not clean. One day, they didn't even do anything and just took the tip. The staffs were very kind and helpful though. I think they need to change the elevator.

Location was within walking distance of so many areas, park, beach, shopping, museum, etc. The room was clean and service was excellent. The bed could have been firmer and I wished their restaurant wasn't undergoing reconstruction.

The location is very nice... a quiet spot away from downtown Waikiki. However, it is about a mile away from the edge of Waikiki hot spots. Staying in Waikiki is noisy as you would expect in city so this hotel is away from city but close enough. Park is right in front of this place... great for those joggers. The bathroom is 4 star. It has an unique […] square shallow shower/bathtub unit. The showerhead is a 5 star caliber... really would drown you if you are not careful... lol. Decor of the bathroom is 5 star caliber but most 5 star hotel I go to have even triple the size of this bathroom with separate bathtub and shower place. So this is a nice balance. The bed is different from all the hotels I been to. This is a foam matress... it is on the soft side but is soft of like Japanese mattress... with a very nice thick wool/cotton matress pad. The sheets are of those 4/5 star hotels... I think close to 500 threadcounts and definitely luxury Japanese style comfortor. Great pillows at this place too. Furnitures in my unit is of high grade... I cannot fault anything here... The room has built in central AC which is super quiet. You are gonna have great sleep at this place. Everything is valet at this place... parking and concierge. They will handle all your luggages and car parking... I suppose this is what all 4 or 5 star with concierge services are like... Never had one so it makes it easy for us... no worry about dinging other cars or parking space... One less hustle for you. Just tip them a bit and they will treat you like a king and queen. Defintely great services here... from check in to check out.... so easy. Shicking for me but great experience. I stayed in other location in downtown Waikiki and I gotta tell you... even at 35th floor... city is noisy... I am not even used to it so it was harder to sleep. So the question is what are you looking for... great sleep and quiet spot or in the city light and grind... both are great and you can't go wrong either way. もっと読む

This former W hotel is still a gem in many ways. Nice staff and clean, in a really nice area next to Diamond Head. The hotel is dated with older furniture and the restaurant is closed for now. The four star rating is a STRETCH. Given this, I enjoyed the stay.

The property remains in appearance and amenities the same when it was a W Hotel in the Starwood chain. The on-site bar and restaurant is being renovated with expected reopened in the winter/spring of 2011.
