Close to where I needed to be and inexpensive but, very old, not a lot of updates, need maintenance especially on the Bathroom. The staff was fine and helpful.

The room smelled of old cigarettes and dog. I used Fabreeze to tolerate the smell. The sheets were clean and staff was friendly. Won't stay there again because of the smell.

We stayed at this hotel for "Mom's Week-end" at WSU because it was the only hotel available. The staff was very nice but otherwise the experience was less than desirable. The biggest problem with the hotel is that there is a bar next door so you could hear the thumping of the music, motorcycles and loud people until early hours of the morning. The evening clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was pleased to find the room to be very clean (althought I had been thinking about how clean I thought it was when I entered the bathroom, shut the door and noticed alot of dirty fingerprints on the back of the door-something a cleaning person might not notice but should look for) I was a bit surprised […] that there was 'no' heat on in the room at all. Maybe this is common practice and I understand keeping costs down but it was very cold at first. The continental breakfast was a little sparse-yougurt, fruit or some juice would be good. Overall- great deal for the cost. Was concerned as I opened the door to leave and the left side of the door frame totally pull out from the wall. The title says it all. It's an inexpensive hotel. Seemingly a place for extended-stay. If your there for a night or two and can afford it, spend the extra money for a nicer hotel. Everything was clean, staff was nice, place was well cared for. But the clientele were kinda scary.

Our first night was in a room where the door wouldn't open. We were shown the "trick" to open it, but really the entire lock and latch system was broken. After recharging our key cards 4 times we requested to move rooms. The second room was filthy. Mildew was in the showers of both rooms. The shower curtain was mildewed. The toilet kept running. After […] we left and came back after dinner we discovered the air conditioning was broken. It would cool for 20 min then turn to heat. We were told all rooms were full, and to just open a window. The windows had no screens so we were left with wide open windows - very unsafe - in a downtown area. We got no sleep because our room would not cool below 80. Our bathroom had severe mold in calking and on the shower curtain. A bath towel was left in the bathroom from prior guests. The freezer was equipped with brown ice. I'm usually not squeamish but this was really an adventure. My tent would have been more comforting . Unfortunately we paid in advance. If we had been with our children we would have forfeit […] the nightly rate and gone else where. As adults we toughed it out. The room that I received had a very strong smell. I could not identified what it was, but it was not a good smell. It was so strong I had difficulty sleeping. Great price, but I'm not sure it was worth it. If you still still think you want to stay here, bring a can of Lysol or Feberze with you. And a surgical mask would help.

The room was very dirty. I found hair on the pillow I was suppose to sleep on. Hair was also hangin g off the lamp shade sitting on the work desk. The carpet was also dirty. Everything went very well there. Very quiet, comfortable beds, hot water, convenient location, hot coffee and furnished extra help with carrying in an oxygen concentrator. Also very friendly. Cedars Inn Lewiston staff were very welcoming and helpful with answering questions about the area and best places to eat. The room was clean, quiet and just remodled. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Only stayed one night but will stay again if ever back in the area.

When we first entered the room the strong smell of particle board (formaldehyde) hit us, or whatever that smell was, maybe just not clean carpet, it was a very dark color so didn't check to close. We headed for the bathroom and realized I wasn't using it until it was cleaned. Went to the store and bought cleaning supplies. Then checked the bed for cleanliness. […] Sheets were clean and smelled nice. Bed was comfortable. Trash behind refrigerator (beer can) and under bed (old deodorant). The place was dirty and run down. We slept on top of the blankets, that is how bad it was.

Check in was easy, our room keys were ready and they did not ask for a credit card. The room was small and there was no hand soap and stains on the sheets and pillowcases. Located next to a bar, very noisy on Friday and Saturday night.

Cedar Inn was cheap, but you get what you pay for. The walls were paper-thin, that you could hear guests in the next room and outside traffic. The bathroom had a strong mildew odor, as if the tiles on the floor were bubbling up from wear and tear. It is close to downtown activities, but it is not close to the university, hospital, or other sight seeing […] areas. The staff at night and in the morning were empathetic, helpful, and respectful. Very nice staff. Economical, not an upscale hotel, but a good place to rest your head during travels. When I am back in Lewiston, I would go to this establishment again.

Place is undergoing renovation? There was a huge gap all around the airconditioner--I could see outside. The windows did not lock, there was a stale smell in the room, Overall, it was a rather seedy place--I did not feel compfrtable or safe at all.

Room smelled and surrounding area was scary. Not at all what is advertised.
