There were stains on the bedding. Stains on the chairs. The bathroom was disgusting in the places you don't immediately see such as the toilet paper dispenser had lots of black dirt and dust hidden behind the toilet paper, so as you pull the paper it picks up some of the accumulated dirt. The […] tiles in the bathroom are black and brown matt stone (which was poorly installed and grouted, I would have fired my contractor) so I can just imagine the dirt it was camouflaging. One of our bath towels had black dirt, looked like a smear from dirty hands. The coffee maker was dirty. A mini fridge would have been nice-but I guess that would be one more space for them to 'not' clean. bath tub caulking was missing not clean, room smelled of cigarette smoke,hotel was charging $3.oo for one bottle of common water, when complaint was made staff including manager were terse.This is the second and last time we stayed at this hotel. Three of us plus a dog had a room on the main floor with sliding glass doors to a patio which is great for easy access to a lawn. The pool was clean and huge.

The room was very comfortable if somewhat aged. The wall paper was starting to come away in places and the bathroom had an aged look about it i.e. well worn but very clean. What would have made our stay more comfortable would have been the addition of a microwave oven, small fridge and extra bedside tables. Instead of two queen size beds my wife and I would have been happier with a King size instead which would have left more room for a couch and coffee table. As the nornal price for this hotel is the same as for a downtown Ottawa hotel the suggested changes above would bring it more in line with the comfort and super 8 hotels in Ottawa not to mention the sherqaton down town Ottawa. The restaurant was excellent, very clean and comfortable with excellent food and service. We were very impressed. Nice quiet hotel....not many people staying there...pool was really nice and warm....Rooms were spacious....beds were clean but older with not much comfort left in them....staff were extremely friendly....there is a bar there for men drinkers....and not very kid friendly....for eating so had to go out...but a quiet place off the beaten path....

I had booked a room with 2 dble beds, they 1st gave me a room with 1 king size bed which for 3 people didn't work. They then gave us a room on lowest level dark & dingy, the portable air conditioner didn't work right and right out side the window was a compressor yhat came on every 10 to 15 min so I got hardly any sleep, not a good stay.

The staff at this hotel were very pleasant. We checked in quite late, and left relatively early. The air conditioning system did not work well, and it was extremely loud. Beds were hard, but that is just a personal perference.

Nice looking facility with a reasonable room rate. Unfortunately, the bed was awful! All of the cushioning on the bed was worn down and I felt every spring. As a result, I kept waking up every 2 to 3 hours. The saving grace was that I had a good breckfast in the restaurant.
