This was not our first choice, but very happy we stayed here!

Fully refurbished in the past few years, and they did an excellent job. Much better facility that it was before the work. I ran the Azalea Trail Run and spent my extra time downtown; hotel location was ideal.

An excellent hotel to use if you want to be near downtown Mobile, Nice comfy rooms that are clean and tidy at a good price. Perfect for what we wanted.

Upon Check in the front desk wasnt very friendly...the hotel is OLD and outdated. The TV reception is really really bad...parking is awful if it is full you have to park across the street in a parking garage...upside there are several resturants within walking distance and the bed was comfortable.

Hotel and personnel were 5 star. Only one minor thing: AC unit needed some repair (wires hanging out of unit, cover not totally bolted and would remain ON and would only turn off if unplugged. Snacks were available to purchase in the lobby - a little pricy but convenient.

I thought the location of this hotel was perfect! Walking distance to our concert downtown, great restaurants and shops, and even a quaint unexpected farmer's market on Saturday morning in the square where we found some cute holiday gifts. Staff was courteous at every opportunity, but they gave us our king nonsmoking room and the entire floor smelled […] like a cig. Mind you, we're smokers, but do not like indoor smoke any more than an non smoker. We just sucked it up and stayed in the smoky room. It even had ashtrays...nonsmoking...I don't think so. The bar up top, "Skyview", has great potential, but they were severely understaffed and the bartenders weren't very knowledgeable. I wanted a martini and my boyfriend wanted an old fashioned and neither of us could have our drinks. Plus, they had an event going on and only one bartender to cover the entire bar. It took forever to get 1 drink. But, the view is beautiful and we weren't in a hurry so no big deal there either. As far as location is concerned...there is no better place in downtown mobile. My boyfriend and I visited Mobile for Bayfest on Saturday afternoon. We chose this hotel because it was walking distance to the downtown area. We checked in and were given the wrong room. Hotel was clean, staff was very helpful, and very near to Mobile Port.

Great place to stay. Good location. But, I wish the area was better lighted. The parking deck was located just across the street and each time we tried to exit, vehicles had problems with the gate or with correct reading of swiped cards.

They need more shops and stores. Looks like they are trying to bring the surrounding area back to life.

The beds were very comfortable and I was told the breakfast was delicious. I liked the location. In walking distance to everything.

The pool was out of service during our visit and it was extremely hot, very disappointing. The restaurant in the hotel and their prices are ridiculous! I even heard other guest complaining too. Overall the room was nice, but we got stuck in a smoking room and we smelled like an ashtray all weekend.

Friendly efficient check in. Free Wi-Fi that worked immediately. Room comfortable A/C control responsive. Dined in the Skyview excellent.

Overall, my stay was great, and location was perfect. I think Hotel.com could have gotten me a lower rate on my room. I spoke with another couple same room, yet the paid less for the same room. Nevertheless I will continue to use Hotel.com

Outwardly, the hotel is quite up to par. I was surprised to be asked if I wanted a smoking room when I checked in as my Hotels.com profile clearly indicates a preference for non-smoking. I think maybe they didn't have any non-smoking rooms left because the room wreaked of nicotine. Since we were too exhausted when we arrived, we didn't bother to call […] reception to change rooms. The next morning the shower did not drain at all. I wonder how housekeeping can overlook such a thing. Reception sent maintenance up (very nice guy) and the situation was fixed quickly. Other than these two big issues, the hotel is really well located, clean and economical. It would have been nice to have been offered some compensation for the shower inconvenience (breakfast maybe). The room was fine but someone above my room kept up noise from around 12:30 AM till around 2:30 AM. Sounded like someone dragging furniture back and forth across the floor above my room. Didn't get a lot of sleep.

Great location! Bathroom is very small but the room itself is a good size. Would recommend this property to anyone leaving Mobile on a cruise or interested in touring the historic sections of the city.

I could hear loud music from the 17th floor lounge in my room on floor twelve. When we called the front desk, they offered to change rooms, but it was 12:30 a.m. and I wasn't going to get dressed, pack my things, and go downstairs because the hotel was playing music that was too loud. I was very disappointed with the service.

The hotel was in a good location downtown but the rooms smelled musty. It was kinda gross when you first entered the room but you got used to it. The beds were very comfortable. The full breakfast was not very good and the service was lacking. The free hotel parking is very, very limited. I had to park in the paid parking one of my two nights. We were in town one night for a quick family get-away. We tried to find something close to the USS Alabama and good restaurants. This was a good find for the price. They have a very friendly staff!

Great service. Very nice and friendly and helpful.

Overall the service at this hotel was great. There was just one gentleman that to me seemed to be only willing to talk to men. To start off parking is a nightmare!!! Perfectly placed for Mobile town centre. We stayed there for Bayfest and it was great not to have to walk far after the concerts! Lots of good food around and easy access to the water

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night after getting off of a cruise it was very close to the port. arrived at 11:00am and they let us check in early. that was very convienent. there is a bar on top floor with a great view of the city and harbor. It does not open until 5:00pm though. there is a swimming pool although kind of small it was raining and storming […] so we never used it. Everytime we pass through Mobile we stay. The hotel staff is always friendly, and our rooms are always clean. We love it.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while working a convention. Even though the hotel is 4.5 blocks from the convention center, very tough to walk there when humidity is 98% and temps are in the 90's. Cab service is lacking in the city of Mobile. Staff was VERY helpful with all of my requests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was not accomodating at all. The surrounding area was rundown store-front shops and very few restaurants that a person would want to eat in.

Great hotel-definitely one of the cleanest and best maintained I have seen in a long time. Parking is a problem, but we knew that ahead of time from other reviews. Wish they had valet parking! Otherwise a great stay.

This hotel was great, my husband and I enjoyed the sky lounge. You know it was a great place to stay when you wake up and do not want to leave right away. The staff was great and the hotel had great amenities.
