I wasn't sure why the rates were different for what appeared, on line, to be similar rooms but as it turned out our room was more of an outside entrance motel style. The parking was tight and our room was noisy because of the location. Ear plugs took care of that and we actually had a good nights sleep. Friendly staff, we were able to check in at 11 am. Beds were comfortable! We had a room right off the pool, would be great for kids when the weather gets nicer.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE HAD BEEN A FRIEND WITH BED BUGS IN HER BED SO WE DID CHECK FOR THOSE BEFORE WE PULLED OUR COVERS UP. NOT A GOOD RECCOMENDATION.

Rooms weren't ready, bar/rest not open during lunch. Came back at 3, rooms still not ready, staff not helpful. The hotel is right across the street from the convention center, so that was perfect. Otherwise, I would stay somewhere else.

Staff was great, check in was FAST, room comfortable, wifi was easy. Right before going to bed I noticed a piece of broken glass and a beer bottle cap between the desk and wall. Upon closer inspection I saw several shards of glass beyond the edge of the wall in the walking area and 2 more pieces of glass behind the desk. Pieces were larger than a quarter. […] Front desk offered to move me to another room, but I was so tired, I didn't want to deal with moving. At 2:00am, the fan on the mini-fridge started whining like the motor was going to burn out. It woke me up every time the fridge kicked on. I thought it was a refrigeration unit on a truck out in the parking lot so I didn't get out of bed to find out what was making the noise. I just slept with a pillow over my head. The hotel was clean, and staff was friendly. When we checked out, the clerk behind the counter said we did not have sign anything, that it was all done. However, when we returned home and checked out credit card account online, there was $80 worth of charges to our credit card that we did not do. My husband called them, and they took it off. Staff was excellent. Bed had broken headboard, sheet had tear that had a hand stitch repair, and TV was dated. Staff was excellent.

The hotel was nice, the grounds were well kept and our room was quiet. The surrounding neighborhood was not somewhere you can walk your dog. Be careful and do not walk the neighborhood behind the hotel at night. Otherwise enjoy Yakima and and the downtown area.

Will not return

The iron in my room did not work 2 of the 3 days I was at the hotel. My issue was not that the iron didn't work but when I informed the front desk the lack of importance they displayed in correcting the issue. During each discussion with the front desk staff they tried to pass the responsibility off to the housekeeper whom was not even at work when […] I reported the issues. This hotel has long been a family favorite, but I'm afraid it's time to look for somewhere new. Our room was nice, clean and the bathroom had recently been updated with granite counters and tile floor, but the amenities are lacking. Shampoo and soaps were basic, "Costco" variety. The large pool, which was just outside our room, was "under construction" […] and not open. That's not what you want in Yakima in the summer. The second pool is not nearly as nice and is difficult to access. There is no restaurant, just a bar and a breakfast bar (which they charge for) and a drive-in next door. So I guess if there were limited options I'd stay here again. But my first choice, next time, will be another hotel. もっと読む

What a little gem. This hotel reminds me of my childhood vacations. The pools are great-- rooms have little fridges and balconies for drinking coffee. There is even a nice work out room. I will be back for some sunshine and time with family. I really LOVED it and I am PICKY

House keeping showed up at 4:00pm to clean my room. I asked if they could come back in 10 minutes so I could finish getting ready to leave, they gave me four towel and said they cant come back? Also hot water was limited in the shower.....very unhappy with this Red Lion Hotel!

Good location, only a few blocks from the freeway, right on the main drag next to the convention center. The one king size bed room was spacious, big desk and comfortable chair - the room looked and felt old but it was very clean. Large two sink bathroom with walk-in shower. Just one thing to gripe about. No microwave in the room, nor on the 2nd floor […] where I was. In fact, the only way to access a microwave was to find a staff member and give him/her your item and have them go into a room behind the kitchen to use it and bring your item back to you. Red Lion Yakima was in need of repair. Room was down a shabbily lit hallway that had an old, dirty smell. Decor 1980, room large, bed ok. For the cost, I expected better. Wanted $2 for a bottle of water.

The location Red Lion Hotel in Yakima, WA is great. The front desk and wait staff are welcoming, but housekeeping falls short. I had to wait all day to get a new iron because the existing iron had a burnt & thick layer of some sticky substance. When I asked the front desk at 4:15 when was housekeeping going to clean the room, I was told that housekeeping […] ends at 4pm so If wanted more towels I could get some and that housekeeping would get to it the next day. I would not plan to stay at this location for a leisure vacation, but a short business trip would be ok. Just make sure that you call the front desk before 4:00pm if housekeeping does not get to your room. もっと読む

Stayed three days for a business conference. The room was very clean and nice with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. Hotel was very easy to find with plenty of parking and easy access to rooms with many entrances. Security doors required key cards to enter even during the day. I come to Yakima many times a year to fish the nearby rivers but this […] was my first stay at Red Lion. I will now change that. I do wish that. the lounge could have been open on Sunday though. To watch your favorite team play you have to go looking for a bat or tavern that is open. That being a very minor issue, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. もっと読む

it was o.k but the hotel and especially the room looked tired. sometimes when i get a room from a discount web site, i feel i'm put in a smaller or out of the way room and i felt that way this time. the room was recently remodeled but still looked worn. i had just been in another red lion in bend oregon and told the desk people in bend the lobby and […] rooms looked like someone really cared and paid attention. the yakima room had the same furniture and accessories but didn't feel the same at all. もっと読む

Decor and cleanliness were OK, on par with other Red Lions, but I was not happy with the bed (flat an' lumpy!), not happy with being in a outlying building, and not happy with the lack of room service. Spent the weekend feeling very much on my own.

If felt like I was at a Motel 6. My room was in the north 40. Not a good neighborhood and didn't feel safe at night.

The room was adequate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. No restaurant on site except breakfast. They did serve dinner in the bar, but our underage kids couldn't eat there.

The hotel grounds were clean, the room buildings were along side a very busy street, tucked into the corner of next to maintenance where all the workers "hung" out and smoked. The staff was useless in informing visitors of the restaurant/ bar, or the amenities. Staff upon check out was exceptionally rude as well. WILL not visit again

While Yakima itself is no great shakes, the hotel was nice and centrally located, as well as close to the freeway. What really impressed me was one guy in particular, a maintenance man, who saw me trying to get ice from a broken ice machine, and went to the kitchen w/out asking and brought me two bags of it! I chose this hotel to be next to the Yakima Convention Center, which is directly next door. That part worked great. But the rest left much to be desired. Checked in at 5:00 PM but it took almost 30 minutes for them to figure out if they had any rooms made up (prepaid via Hotels.com - how can there not be a room to match a prepaid reservation, at 5:00 […] PM?) The hotel and rooms are VERY dated and old, and I didn't feel were worth the price charged, given there are several brand new hotels just a few blocks away for the same or less (but not next door to the convention center). Don't waste any time in the restaurant. I was greeted and found myself the ONLY customer in the entire restaurant or bar (5:30 PM). After sitting alone in the silent room for 35 (thirty five!) minutes, I never saw a server or got a menu or anything. I went to the front desk, and they made a call - another 10 minutes later a server appeared with a menu and water, and said "sorry but I'm the only one here" I laughed and said that I was the only customer there too! So after sitting another 15 minutes she never came back, so I just left and walked down the street for dinner. Would not recommend this place - there are too many good hotels in the general area to pay that much for a poor service 1960s aging hotel in a rather rough neighborhood. もっと読む

We went to a concert near Yakima and just needed a place to lay our heads until we woke up and drove home the next morning. The beds were very comfortable and the location was certainly easy to find. There was the normal downtown road noise in the morning seeing as it's right in the heart of the downtown. The TV choices and remote control left something […] to be desired (not even a guide button for channels). And since we got in so late from the concert, we did not get to check out the lounge or resturaunt so i cannot comment on those. もっと読む

You can't beat this place for the price and quality you receive. Highly recommend.

Loved that taking the dog was not an issue. No hassle, no forms, no deposit, no problem!
