This hotel is older, but recently updated. Room was clean. No mustiness, no cleaner or air deodorizer smell. Heat/cooling unit was clean. Carpet was newer. I chose this hotel because of it's location near the Cataloochie Valley in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was very convenient to where I wanted to go. The room was very clean, staff was pleasant. The view of the mountains was very nice also. We stayed one night for a high school reunion and it met our needs.

the hotel was what i expected. fair condition at a good price. the breakfast was not worth getting up for. no fruit, no eggs, no meat. This hotel is clean and well maintained. We had no issues with anything. These are hard working people who own this property and were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel had a breakfast which we did not get a chance to try because we left very early the next day.

The rooms smell like a stale ashtray!! Wide openings at the bottom of doors.

The desk clerk was very helpful, she helped me find thread, an iron etc. The motel was not overly clean though, hair in the bathtub, carpet kind of dirty etc, and the motel itself was somewhat run down. the dryer door had been taped to shut it etc.

For the money, this motel was fine. The room was basic but clean. The location was a bit isolated but not in a "back to nature" sort of way. I liked that the rooms had a patio with chairs to sit outside and look at the mountains. The upside of the Continental breakfast is that it included eggs, biscuits, sausage, and a waffle iron with batter.
