The price is right here; but many things need an upgrade. Microwave didn't have a plate that fit properly and never really got hot. Couch is terribly uncomfortable; they need some new ones. Hotel is older and not overly fancy but the room was big and clean and I had a frig / microwave / kitchen area and also visiting area with sofa and 2 tvs. Bath was clean but truly the STAFF was the best part of the deal. I booked room on late notice - the night prior - as a surprise for my husband. It was a spontaneous escape after work. Was surprised we had a Suite for a rate cheaper than Motel 6. MANAGER WAS WONDERFUL. VERY HELPFUL. ROOM WAS GREAT EXCEPT THE CONDITION OF THE CARPET. UGH, I WOULD NEVER GO BAREFOOT ON IT. BEDS WERE TOO SOFT FOR ME. ALL IN ALL I WAS HAPPY.

We had a comfortable one night stay. The front desk attendant (did not catch his name) was a great help. The suite was comfortable and quiet. I would reccommend this hotel for a one night or even a one week stay.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Could stay in this room for long periods because it is a living room and a bedroom. The only drawback is the small bathroom but the room is clean and attractive.

The hotel is just 3 exits off the 202 from the Airport. It is an older hotel but spacious rooms with updates done. It was very clean. Very quiet. Close to good resturants down a few miles from Fashion Square. It was a quick trip to PHX area and I did not use the pool or spa. They did look nice and well kept.

The hotel was very comfortable it was two rooms the bed room was seperate I liked tha't. I would stay here again. It was close to everything.

The price was very cheap, but I expected a little more. We had a king bed and a sofa that turned into a bed, and they only gave us 4 little square pillows. When we asked for 2 more pillows, the person at the desk seemed a little put off and told us we had extras on the bed. Eventually he brought us 1 more pillow. Room was crammed with a sofabed, king-size bed, and coffee table. Had to move the coffe table into the close to be able to walk though the room. There was barely two of walkway from the edge of the bed to the wall. Had to move the TV stand/Dresser unit closer top the bed to open the sofebed. But once the Sofabed was open, had to climb over the bed to […] get to the door which could now open only 18 inches. The carpet was dingy and the bedding seemed to have come from 1970. No bedding was available for the sofabed. AC unit blasted cold air only within the range of the blown air. Stand in front of the unit and freeze, move to the right (cause you can't move left) a couple of inches and sweat. There was some plastic thing installed as a modification that kept the fan from distributing around the room. The pool was just dirty. On the surface it looks clean but once you start swimming and creating a current, the dirt, paint, leaves, hair, and who knows what else gets stirred up and now your in some strange soup. It was too hot to stay in the room and the pool was too hot and dirty to redeem this place. Parking is limited and was awkwardly designed. This hotel is very comfortable for a long stay like mine(10 Days). Nice big suite with full kitchen, beds r very comfy. Pool was great but very warm..jaccuzi was maybe 5 degrees hotter than pool. a/c worked very well once room was initially cooled down.

Some previous reviews make this place out to be the worst ever. This type of review is flat out wrong. This is an older facility, but we found our room to be clean, and the young man on the night shift was friendly, attentive and helpful. Was nice to have a separate living room and bedroom. Large living room. Two TVs but old TVs with limited channels. BBQ grills on the community patios. Wi-fi worked easily. I noticed a security camera at one of the entrances. A sign says they offer a breakfast, but we slept in. The Quality Suites-Old Town Scottsdale Hotel, Tempe, AZ, had horrible accommodations. We had to change rooms twice. First room's shower curtain and rod was on the floor, and the room had a bad odor. Mattresses were in very poor condition. Second room had "clean" towels with soot or ashes on them, and toilet filled with cigarette butts and ashes. Inside […] or back of door was damaged. One of tv's remote controls did not work. Third room had no light in living room. The WORST was ROACHES crawling around in bathroom we discovered later that night. A HUGE SEWER ROACH, as the manager described after I informed her, was crawling on the ceiling above one of the beds. It fell to the floor, and I killed it. My sister and I were very upset. We slept with the lights on for the remaining four nights. The manager said when the city cleans the sewer lines with poisonous agents, the sewer roaches come up through the pipes in the bathroom or possibly the kitchen and then die. If we had not paid in advance, we would have checked out of the hotel the first night. The fourth day neither room key would open the door. The front desk personnel gave us new keys. We think he/she had us checked out and had demagnetized the keys. We were not scheduled to check out until the next day. overall ok, the carpet could use some cleaning, the bathroom could use some sprucing up. We had to call for a remote for the tv. not bad overall.

i was in total shock when i went down for coffee and toast, only to find out thy charged $5, for their contonnental breakfast. i have never been charged for breakfast at any other motel erer!

For starters, the bed was so close to the TV that you had to squeeze between them. I had called the front desk for toilet paper and it took them almost an hour to get to the room, which was about 50 ft. away. Then I thought I would go enjoy a continental breakfast, which they charge $5.00 ea. for. It's the same stuff they offer everywhere else for free, […] ie; coffee, juice, fruit, and pastries. overall, the location was convenient and easy to get to. the room, however, is definitely low budget. so, if you're looking for somewhere to stay just to sleep, this works.

Our room #244 was dank and reeked of nicotine. When we made the reservation, we ordered a non-smoking room. Besides the terrible smell of stale nicotine and mustyness we had only one washcloth and no coffee cups for morning coffee. Right after we had initially entered the room we called the front desk to be moved to a non-smoking room which of course […] could not be done as they were completely booked. We were traveling with another party in their own room so we were stuck with these terrible accomodations. Another irritant was that it was very loud with voices, music and televisions till after midnight. This was outside, in front and back and below us till after midnight. The hotel was clean, comfortable & the staff was very friendly & helpful. TV had issues - everything else was great! Full size appliances with a range & grilling access - definately a plus. Very nice!

It was nice having two separate rooms (we had a king suite), so that our 2 year old could sleep on the hide a bed. We stayed there for a few weeks. Some maids did a better job of cleaning than others, but we always had clean towels, and there was no hassle to ask for more or to ask for extras such as coffee. This hotel is not the Bellagio in Las Vegas and I am a big believer in "you get what you pay for". Seriously folks, if youre local-ish and driving TAKE YOUR OWN PILLOW or stop at the local Walmart and buy a cheap one. The pillows are filled with those tiny foam cubes that all seaparate when you lay your head on them. They are SOOOOO uncomfortable and actually impact sleep - and I am a person that can sleep anywhere! This hotel is what it is, an old, poor-average;y maintained but convenient for a one night stay. For the price and convenience it was fine.

After the rude reception we got while checking in, we found our room. We were on the second floor and had to pass the hotel laundry room on the way, I guess the laundry room is also where the maids get their carts prepared and apparently a hang out spot. This room was very close to the top of the stairs and there were at least 4 or 5 maids carts that […] we had to navigate around. Not one of them said a word and acted annoyed that we were walking around them.This continued every time we left or returned to our room the entire two days we stayed here. Our room was fairly clean, I didn't expect that much from this place, so I wasn't let down too much. The living room area had a small sofa that had rips in the fabric, and the TV didn't work. We planned on spending most of our two days in the Tempe area going to two concerts and shopping, so basically the place was for sleeping. The bedroom part was OK, it was very plain with no pictures on the walls. There was a TV (this one worked, thankfully) and had a sink/vanity area with a full closet. The room with the toilet and bath was extremely tiny. I was surprised by this, you barely have enough room to dry off in there. Our first night, after we got back from the concert, we both showered and were pleased that the shower had good water pressure and an adjustable massage shower head. We both were exhausted and fell asleep quickly, the room was quiet all night and the beds were soft but pretty comfortable. Within walking distance of the hotel there is a Dunkin Donuts and a Starbucks, so we didn't go to the continental breakfast. We left our room, with the "please service this room" tag on the door at 9:30 am and returned at 4:45 pm. The room hadn't been touched. I went to the laundry area and asked for more towels, they handed me two without saying a word. This hotel was old for sure they did not have our room ready even though. we called before we booked to make sure there would be no problems. we will not stay here again.
