Great service & facility

Outstanding service

We went there when they were doing construction, thats why we got a good deal. Ice maker in our floor wasnt working, had to go down 1 floor. The room we got didnt had a balcony, as promised in the website. I had to call front desk and they moved us to a room with a balcony. So that got fixed. Rooms are very clean. We love this resort! We were here for a soccer tournament and were pleasantly surprised. The food in the dining room was great! (We had the 'Duo of Chicken' and the Mushroom /Lentil soup). Also the cafe counter was more than willing to whip up a spinach smoothie with fresh fruit for me in addition to serving up my husband his Starbucks. It was crowded and the bar service was extrememly slow throughout the afternoon and evening. Who could have planned for an 83 degree weekend in the middle of January? We loved the view, some of the kids and parents made use of the wave runner rentals and the teen room, as well as the game room. the actual guest room was standard...two beds, a chair, a desk, a tv. The bathroom was roomy, with a large tub and stand alone shower. but our view of the harbor was fantastic and it reminded us of being on a cruise ship with a balcony! AC did not work, curtains did not close all the way, alarm clock was left on (we were woken up twice), glasses were dirty, and we specifically asked if there was an ipod docking station in the room - there was not. Had dinner at the hotel... amazing.

Beautiful hotel and great surroundings but didn't expect it to be so far into the "island" or from Downtown Coronado and San Diego. It wasn't too bad to go to downtown SD or Hillcrest/North Park area as long as it wasn't during rush hour. I would definitely consider the hotel if vacationing with kids, because it was a family-friendly hotel. (In fact, […] we seemed to be the only guests without kids.) With kids everywhere, it was ok for a romantic getaway but not the top choice. If we were to return, we'd consider staying for more than one night to take advantage of activities like biking, exploring the beach or to try Aqua Zumba. This hotel is very dog friendly. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, they were so accomodating to us as well as our dog. There were few rules as to where our puppy could relieve himself, but surprisingly enough, we saw no messes. All owners picked up after their dogs. Starting w/ Amanda at the front desk, everything was beautiful! Even under construction, Loews Coronado presented a perfect getaway. Looking forward to a return this summer.

We only stayed one night, but it was grand. I ordered rose petals on the bed to surprise my wife, and they complied cleverly. Great time, and very helpful staff.

For a boondock hotel to charge $25 per night to park is outrageous. However the staff was first class, they went out of their way to be helpful, well almost all. The concierge was a bit rude but everybody else was great.

The room decor had a calming beach feel with a super bathroom with soaking tub and shower. The balcony and view were supurb. We also appreciated the underground parking, although there is a charge for parking. The hot tubs and pools were delightful.

Very nice hotel but the location is poor. There was nothing close by. Everything was very expensive and unless you have more money that you know what to do with don't stay here. Parking was an additional $24 in addition to the room rate. There was water bottles in the room at $7. each. Not for me.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. On other side of Coronado Island from The Del. Need a car to get anywhere. But beautiful none the less! Would recommend wholeheartedly as a 5-star stay. Can have the incredible pool (kept warm in December San Diego) to yourselves!

This was my first stay on Coronado, and I really did enjoy the island itself. I was not, however, impresses with the hotel. Found the staff to be very hot and cold when it came to service. When my husband and I first arrived and assigned our room, I was not impressed. The front desk, did, however, go out of their way to find us a room to make us happy. […] We were not aware that the difference between the superior, deluxe, and luxury rooms was the view. Period. If you want a bay view (not necessarily that on downtwon San Diego AND the bay) that is considered luxury. A view of the Marina and pools are considered to be deluxe, and I'm not quite sure what the superior consists of. We opted for the deluxe. Great view. All room appointments are the same no matter if it is luxury, deluxe, etc. Self parking is $25/day. Seriously! Room internet service is $12.95 PER DEVICE! In the morning, when we went to the hotel cafe and ordered a breakfast sandwich, it took 30 minutes.....with half of the two item order wrong. Coffee refills took longer than 10 minutes. We finally gave up on breakfast there altogether, and when we talked to management about the poor service, his reply was "I'm sorry". Beautiful oceanside hotel with great service. I should have paid a little more attention to the location on Coronado - it is about 4 or 5 miles to town. I would have liked to have been a little closer to bike and walk around town, but it's wonderful if you want to get away from it all.

We really enjoyed our stay at Loews Coronado Bay Resort. The room was very nice, linens and bedding were top shelf. The bathtub was huge, could have probably snorkled in it. The only negative was the expense of snack items and liquor in the mini bar. A little bottle of wine (2 small glasses) was $22. I purchased a six pack of Bud from the "gift" shop […] for $17. We were in SD for a conference and decided to stay a couple extra days and when I searched hotels, Loews Coronado offered an amazing rate. I called to confirm when it was renovated and asked if there was construction going on and I was told 2009 and no. When we arrived, they were doing construction on the lobby; however, this was no bid deal to us because […] unless you are in the lobby you cannot tell it is happening. The pools were nice and this hotel was definitely worth the great price...we would have paid more for the product it offered. Only thing I noticed was dust on the nightstand which bothered me. This was a little more family oriented than we were hoping for as two of the three pools were for kids, and the rooms were a little bit below the quality we were expecting, but it was a good value with good service.

We were not impress at this hotel.The filter in the air vent was dirty and no wonder we were cold.Had to call maintences to put a new one.Had only garbage bin in the bathroom none in the bedroom.Maids said she has been asking for one replacement and instead gave us a garbage bag.Piiiows are small.You charge for parking when we are guest and have shuttle […] service that only fit a small amount of people.Not many people come on vacations with their car.Foods over priced.I am surprised that people who work there are unaware about the shuttlte bus that goes to the airport.Don't really need all the mini bar.One tv station no getting clearly. もっと読む

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. We live in a great resort area and always enjoy going to another high quality resort

This is not a good location, parking way over priced (with no other options because of location), too many service fees for room service ($28 meal came out to $48). Did not pay for internet service because it was also over priced.

Didn't realize Coronado Island was actually a peninsula. This hotel was about 5 miles south of downtown Coronado. Service was excellent. Rooms were nice; it was just a bit farther than I would have liked from the restaurants and shops. My wife liked the location a lot since it had beautiful views all around the area. Very nice hotel. Service is good. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Although the hotel was clean and the employees were very helpful, our stay wasn't quite up to par. in our first room, we weren't given a mini bar key, there was no ice bucket in the room, and the view was blocked by a tree and building. We enjoyed the fitness facilities, and the friendliness of the staff. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Great that pets and families are so welcome. Would go back for sure.

We stayed at this resort hotel, just overnight, to spend the day with friends staying at another hotel nearby on Coronado Island. Wouldn't have stayed at this particular hotel at its regular resort prices, but a great rate was offered for the king rooms over the holidays. Parking was pricey and I thought it odd that any hotel would stil charge for internet […] service but this one did. Room was large enough and the bathroom very spa-like, but we didn't use any of the other amenities. Very nice and well maintained hotel. As with all comparable hotels in SD downtown, nothing is given away that can be charged for (parking, internet etc.) so the cost of room can be deceptive unless you are aware of those issues but since that isn't unique to this hotel, it's easier to accept. I booked this hotel through www.hotels.com after seeing that I could get a 50% discount on the rate...a good deal, right? Wrong! When we arrived, they tried to charge my credit card $75.00 per night for incidental charges --$450.00 total for a 6 night stay. Then they put us in a room with a noisy AC vent that clattered every time the fan would come […] on. The room was right next to the ice machine and the service elevator, so every time someone went for ice or ordered room service, there would be a lot of noise right outside our room door. Also, this room (which I'm writing this review from on 12/27/2011) was right across from the floor elevator, so we heard cell phone conversations and noise from guests all during the night. If you are willing to pay the high nightly room charges, you will get a nice room (this one has no balcony or ocean view). I will not stay here again as there are nicer, less expensive options in downtown Coronado...and yes, the parking really is $25 per night for self park privileges. I rate this hotel 1 out of 5 stars--it's really not worth it, in my opinion. もっと読む

We had a great room overlooking the bay. Had a wonderful time.

really pleasant stay there...only bad thing is that some of my tv channels would cut in and out...I believe this was room specific because the room 2 doors down did not have any issues with channels cutting in and out...
