Very nice hotel, rooms nicely furnished. Small thing: two rooms were booked at the same time, but they didn't have the same size. One was much bigger than the other. But very nice breakfast buffet! We recommande it!

Not located exactly central but short distance from bus stop that takes you to the centre. Great swimming areas for the kids and the food was really good. Lots of choice although maybe a bit expensive but on the whole a nice place to stay.

The hotel overall is good ,the breakfast is ok but don't go down in the last hour the buffet gets very tired and some things don't get replaced.the wi fi is not brilliant only ok in a few places it really needs boosting up.otherwise ok.

WE had a fantastic time.location very central and hotel staff were very helpful and kind.WE will defenitly be back again. regards

First night was noisy, but they moved us to a new room which was much better - avoid room 306!

Large hotel, excellent breakfasts with a range of options for dinner though the food was a bit overpriced and run of the mill. Good base for exploring Jersey with a good deal through Hotels.com.

Lovely hotel with loads of facilities, staff very helpful. Three very good restaurants including the belvedere restaurant serving up a very large breakfast every morning. Close to everything you need including bus stops.

We got stranded on Jersey when all ferry services to England were cancelled due to rough weather, requiring us to extend our stay an extra day. The staff at the Merton were more than helpful in finding and preparing rooms for us, at very short notice, for our extended stay. A lovely hotel, close to main town, good breakfast, excellent pool facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Definitely recommend this hotel

We had previously stayed at this hotel and enjoyed the place so we booked a single night whilst in transit to Jersey airport from Guernsey , We arrive from Guernsey quite late and tired and checked in. We were given rm 238 this was a a nice looking room very well laid out ,But the big problem was it's position. The room felt very warm so we opened the […] windows Mistake 1 there was continuous drone for the Kitchen fans that went on until aleast 2:00 the heat comming up from the floor was very uncomfortable . Problem No2 was the Position next to the lift which was going most of the night and was very noisy. Problem 3 the slamming of the corriador door all night.. The worst thing that happened was the next morning . After a sleapless night we went dow to Breakfast and whilst we were their someone from House keeping entered pur room and removed the shower curtain. We put these compliants to the chechout receptionist who aid these complaints will be investigated. So I hope I will get some explanation from the Hotel mainly why the Shower curtain had been removed when we were still in posession of the room card. もっと読む

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Merton Hotel Jersey. The swimming pool (indoor and out) was outstanding (temp 29/30). The restrauants and bars were to a high standard and the room was very clean and modern. I got the impresion that the whole place had just been refurbished.

Just a great place to stay, particularly if with the family. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, choice of food outlets was very good, as was the quality and the amenities (leisure, evening entertainment etc) first rate. I stayed for 8 days in late July with my teenage son, he was fully occupied all day in either the Aqua dome, the flow rider […] (a great surfing Machine) or in the evenings in the club arranged for teenagers. The hotel was kept clean and tidy, with lots of staff, gardeners etc, although the hotel was full, and with many families we never felt crowded, or disturbed by noise. St Helier is about 10 mins walk and sandy beaches a bit further but there is so much to do here if you cant get to them you will have plenty to keep you busy. Jersey is a lovely island so do try to take some time to tour, but when you are at the Merton you will be well looked after. We had a very enjoyable stay mid July '10 very friendly athmosphere brtween guests. Staff also were friendly and helpful with the exception of the Dining Room, although everything ran smoothly and efficiently, there was a lack of friendliness. Food was very good.

Stayed in the Merton for 7 nights end of June. Was really pleasantly surprised by the standard considering it is classed as a 3 star hotel. Really good standard with lovely staff and really clean. Rooms comfortable and well kept. Couldnt fault the breakfast with a wide vareity to suit all. We went for a weekend break with friends from Sat to Tues inc on B&B basis, this is the second time we have stayed at the Merton and It was even better than the last time, both double rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was up to standard , plenty of choice and buffet style which we all preferred. Very clean, well maintained hotel. Well designed rooms and public areas The Italian restaurant was excellent.

had a lovely relaxing holiday, although its a big ish hotel it never seems busy. always somewhere to sit and have a beer or cream tea (best we found was the merton and we had one every day in 7 different locations). breakfast was always fresh and hot from the buffet and there was just about everything i could think i'd want for breakfast,e.g. cereal, […] fruit, yohurt, cheeses, ham, danish pastrys, bacon eggs, sausages,beans,tomatoes, toast fried bread, hash browns, don't think i've missed anything. we were in the pool about 9.30 every morning and had it to ourselves till about 10.15, lovely! Its a short walk 5 mins into town thought a lovely park and slightly furthur to the bus station but nothing taxing and i got to look in all the shops on the way. never ate in the hotel on an evening so can't comment on food but plenty of very nice places close by and didn't have a bad meal whilst in jersey. Just got back for St Helier and the Merton Hotel. The resort and Island are perfect for a chilled out holiday with beautiful scenery. The hotel was great with plenty of staff. The food (breakfast) was great and there was plenty of entertainment in the evenings if you wanted it. Only 2 negative points were that it was way too hot when you walked around […] the hotel (think it was kept warm for the old people staying there) and we were in a room right overlooking the outside terrace which stayed open till late. As it was warm outside we had to have the windows open so mde it a bit noisy. Would have been nice to have air con in the rooms but guess thats why its 3 star and not 4 star. Saying that, i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Jersey. The attached leisure centre (for hotel guests only as far as i could gather) was simply superb!! Chose this hotel through hotel.com after reading reviews on hotels in Jersey and whilst some reviews can be a little wide of the mark I wasn't disappointed by the excellent reviews I've read about this hotel. Best things about the Hotel were the superb pool and recrecrational facilities. Great Breakfasts with lots of choice. Nice Italian Restaurant with very friendly staff and superb decor. Nightly shows gave variety. Certainly one to go back to. Very reasonable in June price given quaility of hotel. Might need to upgrade TV and channels offered . Myself & my sister brought our Mam on holiday to Jersey and we were so impressed with the Merton Hotel. The facitlities in the hotel are fantastic. There was caberet on every night and the swimming pool is just gorgeous. Also the restaurants in the hotel are very good also. Would definately recommend this hotel to guests that are of retirement age.

Hôtel parfait pour des vacances en famille, avec 3 resto différents, un complexe sport/piscine, des animations... Pas très loin de la capitale mais pas grand chose autour si on n'est pas véhiculé. A ameliorer : accueil souvent peu aimable, wifi seulement dans le lobby.

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille dans cet hôtel. Tout le staff est accueillant, souriant, et généreux. Le complexe avec la piscine permet de se détendre et de profiter sur place de tout le confort. Bref, je recommande vivement cet hötel.

Jeg tilbrakte 4 netter på Merton hotell i begynnelsen av september. Flott og stort hotell med forskjellige spisesteder inne på selve hotellet. Flott frokost og fin buffet på kvelden. Rommet var fint, rent og ryddig. Ingen aircondition. Hyggelig personell. Benyttet ikke basseng, men det så fint ut for barnefamilier. Uteområdet var også fint. opphold, som hotellet og dets service medvirket til. Gode resturanter , bra underholdning på kveldene og rett og slett et perfekt sted for å være når man ferierer på Jersey.

Et stort fint hotel med god plads i såvel området som på værelserne. Fint pool område og fin lille have. Kortere gå afstand til by centrum. Dog kan der mangle en altan

Typique hotel anglais, très confortable, lumineux avec un petit parc splendide. Un kid-zone pour les enfants : très pratique quand on veut un peu de calme. La piscine est magnifique avec des jeux, et un maitre-nageur à chaque bassin. Le star-room est une salle de bal avec orchestre, style " la croisière s'amuse", mais c'est marrant. Une chambre familiale vaste et récente, un parc aquatique de bonne taille, un buffet de petit déjeuner abondant et varié : nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Cet hotel nous a vraiment beaucoup plu : les chambres sont très confortables, le service est de qualité et le centre aquatique permet d'alterner visites et loisir.

Très bon petit déjeuner. Complexe aquatique très agréable. On peut se baigner en extérieur par tout temps. Dommage que pour les familles avec 2 enfants il n'existe pas de chambres familiales.

Hotellet minder lidt om, hvad man kunne forvente at finde på Mallorca eller de kanariske øer, men det gør det også velegnet til de som rejser hertil med børn. Ud over det store badeland og motionscenter lige overfor hotellet, hvor gæster har fri adgang, så bugner hotellet af tilbud. Her er restauranter, barer, caféer, bibliotek og andre tilbud man kunne […] tænkes at få brug for under sit ophold. Vil dog være synd, hvis man ikke også oplevere selve St. Helier når man nu er her. I hotellets kælder er i øvrigt et lille, men udemærket, møntvaskeri. Hotellet er lidt sjovt, i det man føler at det med tiden er blevet udvidet og man støder nu og da på "skæve" etager og lidt kringlede gange. Egentlig lidt charmerende Hoteller ligger cirka 5-10 minutters gang fra centrum men stadig i et rimeligt roligt område. Hotel ligt op 5 minuten lopen van het stadscentrum. Fietsen is ook goed te doen, alleen overal eenrichtingsverkeer ook voor fietsers. Het hotel is echt op Engelse vakantiegangers gericht, geen andere Nederlands gezien. Het hotel is schoon, goed ontbijt en goede service, het avondeten hebben wij niet in het hotel verbuikt, omdat er in de stad en onderweg […] bij uitstapjes voldoende zeer goed aanbod is. Het avondentertainment is gezellig en wordt goed bezocht. Het zwembad valt alleen wat tegen, binnen heel klein en ondiep, buiten wel wat ruimer, maar nog steeds 1,34m ondiep. Fint utgangspunkt for en ukes ferie på Jersey

le gros reproche est l'accueil d'un "étranger".Tout est en anglais, pas une note, pas un renseignement,pas une personne parlant le français à l'accueil .Aucun effort de la personne de l'accueil pour parler plus lentement .C'est très étonnant dans ce type d'établissement de standing acceuillant de nombreux étrangers notamment Français!

seul bémol ,hotel un peu excentré par rapport au centre ville ou du front de mer.
