Quick and painless. WiFi was a huge plus.

An older property. But the room was clean, and the management was friendly. Close to the road so you can hear the cars unless you are using the AC or heat.

Cheap hotel, and I got more than I expected. No fitted sheets on the bed and a couple of stains on the carpet but the bed was comfortable and the shower was warm. I was only there for an evening. The TV Quality was pretty terrible but still watchable. It was quiet but probably mostly because there was no one there.

The room was clean and comfortable but the hotel itself is a distance from the interstate highway but on the main street through Hamden. Had a good continental breakfast.

old, smelly, musty, dirty, stinky, rotten, hole in the wall, not even rodents would live there and even the bed bugs are only there for a short stay.poor excuse for a hotel located so close to the highway they should have named this place "Shoulder"

Great experience at this hotel. Staff was friendly and accomodating. I stayed in a suite on the upper floor and it was quiet and comfortable. I had some delays in the morning of checkout and the staff allowed me a late checkout at no cost. Definitely recommend to others!!

This was a good value for money. Clean and comfortable. The non-upgraded rooms are just as clean and well presented as the upgraded, they are just a little smaller, and have outside doors instead of inside. This place was in desperate need of renovation! The heater was very loud and woke us up whenever it came on. The traffic noise from the road was very bothersome as well, so walls are very thin. This place charges way more than they should for the poor quality of the room!

Very comfortable and accessible. In need of a little maintenance, but quite clean and great value. I'd stay there again.

Booked smoking king room through Hotels.com. Upon arrival, part of hotel was under construction and room we reserved was not available. Have stayed there numerous times and 2nd incident there. On a previous stay, room we requested was not available as was trashed by previous guest. Price through Hotels.com was better than Days Inn site.

the room was amazing. i wouldn't have guessed by the outside but i'm glad i stayed. the front desk was ver gracious. love it

One doesn't book a room for so little and expect the world, so the Days Inn Hamden is just fine. The bed was comfy, the bathroom decent and the shower powerful. Worth the rent.

I only had a few problems with this stay. One, the room smelt strongly of Pine-Sol. I didn't realize how bad it was until I opened up my luggage the next day and it smelt of Pine-Sol for about a week before the smell went away. I have stayed here before. I always prefer a non smoking room with King Bed. They have upgraded rooms on the second floor. Having stayed in those I would recommend that you always get the upgraded room.

All the other reviews are right: it's a good deal for the $$. 10-15 min to Yale Medical without traffic makes it more affordable than the options they give you.

The receptionist who registered us was rude, disheveled and wore old, stained, dirty clothing. The contractors who were working on the building were cleaner and neater than she. Other than this, the room was clean and facility convenient for my needs.

there are few towels in the room, towels are dirty! customers services are terrible and unfriendly. they don't welcome us with a smile and never say thank you after we check out! it was a horrible experience. I will stick with Best Western!

The room is in need of updating and new carpeting. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was close to Quinnipiac University as we went for parent weekend. the complimentary breakfast was very nice. Overall not bad for the price and convience.

Clean rooms, large bathroom, large fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It also had free Wi Fi and a super nice chair for the desk. There was some noise from the highway, but other wise a good value.

I was only there for one night. My daughter complained about the sound of traffic but it takes a lot more than traffic to keep me awake. My only complaint is that the head of the bed was noticeably lower than the foot. My husband and kids said the same thing. Its was o.k. for a night stay while traveling. Nothing great but clean.

I was initally a little worried because the hallway had a strange smell. But the room was clean. Furniture a little dated. But for the price and a place to sleep for a couple of hours and shower, it served its purpose for a reasonable price.

Good value but the rooms need to be aired out. They have a persistent odor of mildew.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Slept well, even though hotel is on busy street. Well-priced for overnight stay.

Firm bed, fluffy pillows, good A/C, big TV, desk with computer chair, separate desk with two chairs, the key access is a prox card (no swiping in a slot, just touch to door), direct outside access, can park right outside room, provided soap and shampoo, had coffee maker and refridgerator and the price was quite a bit less than the surrounding hotels. […] I would stay there again. The room was clean, thats about it. It smelled strange, the bed sheets were not fitted sheets so you may wake up in the middle of the night with a mouth full of dirty mattress. My room's bathroom had a 'special' smell. There was some surface mold on the shower curtain.

This hotel wasn't as bad as I was thought it was going to be. I realized in CT that most of the hotels are in bad shape because they are old. The only thing I had a problems with the room is that there were no fitted sheets on the mattress, and we had a couple of flies that wouldn't die. Best thing about this hotel was it was close to Quinnipiac University. Worst thing was the bedding-no fitted sheet and sheets and blanket were too small for the bed.

Room, including bathroom, was very clean. Bedding was clean and bed very comfortable. Good value.

I just wanted aplace to sleep as I was getting there at midnight and had an early morning meeting fairly close by. I was pleased they were still up at midnight. No problem, no extra changes. Room was fine, except microwave didn't work (wanted it for my coffee). Breakfast was included, but skimpy; however, at least they had bagels, coffee, danish, juice […] and cold cereal.
