The hotel is very close to the subway station and is very convenient to reach almost anywhere in Philadelphia. My room was a small and dark room but room price was relatively cheaper than other hotel in Philadelphia at that day. The elevator was slow as somebody has already commented. In my case, I used stair. The break fast was ok.

This is very homey and comfortable hotel. It might not be perfect for business but I could relax there so much(Breakfast were also good.) ! There is a subway's station bound for the Center City by this hotel, so there was no problem for me.

We stayed in the Penn's View for 4 nights and loved it. It is so different from so many hotels where all the rooms are the same and are impersonal. This felt like we were staying in a real bedroom, not just a hotel room. Cozy room, convenient parking, walking access to sights of the city in a great neighborhood filled with shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit the Aquarium just across the Deleware River in New Jersey.

Our reservations were very last minute and we booked the room on a lark just by price and location. We were welcomed after a very late arrival (past midnight). Free Internet access and an unexpected complimentary breakfast buffet in a pleasant, quiet dining room. The meal included fresh waffles, do it yourself boiled eggs, fresh fruit and many other choices. The hotel had the feel of a small European hotel with personal service. We were sorry we were staying only one night but will definitely consider staying there on our next visit to Philly. The surrounding old city with its cobblestone alleys and streets intrigued us. It was expensive for such a service. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is next to the highway and it is quite noisy at night. I had good time there, but I won't go there again. Don't let the nice pictures from their rooms fool you.

The room was great for the value. Checking in was quick as easy. They still use keys for the door, might need to upgrade. Elevator was slow. Besides that, everything was great. The room was nice and clean and served its purpose. Conveniently located by market street with paid parking right next door. Would definitely reccomend and stay there again.

Great location on Front and Market, walking distance to everything and right on the Market subway line. Staff is very nice and accommodating. My husband and I stayed overnight at Penn's Landing. I was in Philly for a conference that was at the Marriott. I wanted to be near the conference site and Penn's Landing fit the bill. Initially I thought its location on a major street and very close to I95 would be problematic (noisy) but it wasn't. This is the first hotel ever with big, fluffy, thick […] and soft towels. The room seemed small at first but was big enough to not have to squeeze by each other. I do wish the bed was a king and a tad more comfortable. Loved the laminate floors and just an area rug, I hate carpet (allergies). We ere looking for a great dinner place and the clerk on duty made two suggestions. We ended up at a place close by that hadd good food and live entertainment. Since my husband wasn't attending the conference he asked for a late checkout and didn't leave the hotel until 2 pm. Continnental breakfast was included and I was thankful for that because we didn't have to spend $ extra. My only suggestion would be the addition of backout curtains. The heater in this room is so loud and blew out cold air. It was a freezing night and I had to turn off the thing and freeze because it became too loud and stuffy to sleep. I also didn't appreciate not being able to close my curtains especially since the rooms are small and you're sleeping right next to the window.
