We were awakened at 1:30 am, by guests in the adjacent room. The staff promptly responded, taking care of the issue. The area, around the hotel, seems to have deteriorated, somewhat. Good hotel services and good location for marina activity. It is close to the Venice beach but this is not the nicest beach in L.A.. Good for access to airport and northern L.A. areas. Parking in city lot across the street is handy and inexpensive ($8 compared to $38 for 24 hours). Pool and tennis courts are nice. Work-out room is very adequate.

It was a little out of the way and had to take a taxi to everywhere as I didnt have a car, but quiet and friendly staff made it feel good.But no luxury feeling you get at other Ritz.

Stayed one night as a layover on way home to NYC from Hawaii. Perfect place to rest one night before the next flight home -- close to airport, comfortable, clean, easy. Nice pool and had a great lunch poolside before we headed out to the airport.

We were amazed at how the staff treated our children so nicely. We had a better reception there than at most Disney hotels. I would definitely recommend the Ritz Carlton agains.

It was disappointing. The room was not ready until 7:30 p.m. so they put us in a temporary room and we had to move. We were only staying one night so being in two rooms in one night was not convenient. The room that we waited until 7:30 to get into had soaking wet carpet. We did not spend alot of time at the hotel. However,the rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable, staff very accomodating. I was visiting local relatives that came and went throughout my stay, the hotel was as accomodating to my guests as they were to me. If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Very helpful staff. There were charges that we disputed and they immediately took them off. We loved the heated pool and jacuzzi. Great staff also removed some very loud & obnoxious neighbors when we complained. I was impressed! Parking fees are very expensive. If you need a basecamp near LAX for your adventures around the southern CA region, this is a great hotel to stay at. No unsightly airport related facilities in sight and no aircraft noise at all, but it is not too far from the airport. They also have a boarding pass printing sevrice - you fill out the form with your reservation details and drop it […] off at the front desk. They will print the boarding passes for you. The room was clean and had nice linen. The room decor was very decent, though a bit conservative. The room I got also had a good view of the ppol and marina. However, there were some issues. The express checkout on the TV did not work. The express checkout paperwork they had slipped under the door did not have my room details filled in for checkout - it asked me to fill out the form and drop off the keys at the front desk (most other hotels have the form pre-filled). The guest information book said there is an ice machine on every floor. I did not find one on my floor. The guest book also said one could dial 62# for ice. I tried that in the evening and the next day but the line was always busy. The lamps were very hard to turn off. The switch was hidden behind the nightstand and hard to access. The desk did not have outlets to connect your laptop or charge your phone/tablet (most other hotels have at least one, usually two, outlets on the desk lamp itself). I reached under the table to plug in mine and found that three of the six outlets did not have power (maybe they were on a switch but that was not obvious) and two were already used up. Left me just one usable outlet to share between my phone and laptop. They only have Valet Parking, no slef park. The description was not very clear about this, but that is not a big deal (one would not be expecting cheap parking in Los Angeles in any case). もっと読む

This is by far one of the best hotels in the area! It is in the 'Ritz' tradition, high quality and high priced. The only two disappointments were the service we got on the patio for an afternoon cocktail/snacks and how surprisingly thin the walls are!

They should mention at time of reservation that there is major renovation going on. Certaily doesnt feel like staying the Ritz, lobby in repairs, check in at a temporary table in a renovation area etc. Service however was excellent.
